Seems like a good park to practice tricks you are working on. Some of it was a bit dated, but I still had a good time here. Several different heights of flat rails, some lower 1/4 pipes, bank, and one nice ledge on the South East entry. read more

Really nice park with a great community. I had never even been in the area before, but decided to stop by after eating dinner. This place has some great areas to just cruise in, and some pretty sweet places to grind. Theres a small, not very deep bowl in the middle of the park that's nice to drop into, and ride around, and on the walls of it. If it's close to you, it's definitely worth the visit. read more

Been coming here since I was three (not consistently) tho I'm 21 now. And if you're decent at skating it's a great place to skate/ hangout. It has a bowl that I never use, good flat ground area with nice rails in the back, a quarter/half pipe that is excellent for beginners, and if you're a gap skater you're kinda out of luck unless you wanna do tricks into the bowl or there is a huge rock gap near the under pass at the park that is pretty sick. Park also hay a pyramid with a rail on it and two down rails one big one small that replicates the feel of a handrail. Has three ledges (one of them is only slidable cause it's chunky) and over all it's a great place to skate! W.R.F.L read more

One of many skate parks in the valley. I don't have a preference, I let the kids pick. I tried skating as a kid but was mostly a "poser" according to my kids. None of my tricks seem to impress them. I got good enough to tic tac, mongo push and tweak a bail. But they roll their eyes unimpressed. Skateboards seem to have been replaced with scooters and that is what my boys enjoy. To me, having basically a skinny board with handles looked like cheating. Very easy I said to myself as I told my boy to let me try his scooter. I'm watching kids as young as 5 dropping into pools and coming out up top like nothing. So I "mongo push" out to the edge of the bowl and drop in! It was amazing. I did a front flip and the scooter went flying. I felt the wind go from my lungs as I landed on my back. Kids come running over to see if I'm ok. You know how it is. Those times you trip and roll with it like you meant to do it on purpose? Well I jumped up and played it off smoothly. "Heck yeah kid, I was just practicing my impossible flip-trick but got my fakie mixed up." Dropped the mic with my head held high and casually walked to the benches with the rest of the parents. Did a couple nonchalant side glances to make sure my ruse paid off and exhaled the bitter pains pounding throughout my body. Sat back and thought to myself "Screw that" and have happily just taken and watched the boys since. So for skate park review. I judge them on a couple things. Review for Weekends. 10:00am - 5:00pm SKETCHINESS- 4 stars. We only come here during the day. Most of the skaters and scooter riders are well behaved. You will hear some occasional expletives from people wiping out, but mainly a chill group. Being along the green belt there seem to be more family friendly types around. Occasionally some homeless folks but never any issues. FACILITIES- 4 stars. Shade structure, concrete benches, picnic tables, walking paths, lots of grass and bathrooms within an easy walking distance. Lots of grass. Lots of options for a family. As we have 6 kids in a wide age range they all find something fun to do. PARKING- 4 stars. Always plenty of parking at the times we have come. CROWD- 3 stars. Some teenagers can be rude or not watch out for younger kids. Some younger kids do not pay attention to what's going on and parents are oblivious. Remember. Human skulls don't bounce well off of concrete as well as bones. I make my kids wear helmets, elbow and knee pads. They don't think it's cool but we've also seen what happens to those not wearing. So parents please be uncool and protect your kids brains and body. Overall I think it's a great activity for anyone. Creates great hand & eye coordination and kids get great cardio workout in without realizing it. I'm amazed at the parents who can still thrash it or gleam the cube. read more

The Wedge is located at Eldorado Park and Community Center. For all the Tony Hawk wanna-be's it offers an amoeba bowl, flatbars, ledges, quarter pipes, rail down bank, fun box with small rail, plus the obligatory curbs and rails. I don't skate but it looks like a nice place for your kids to skate. I am sure it is as long as you are there before the older kids get out of school or before they get out of bed at 3 or 4 pm.. After that it becomes a place where kids just go to smoke whatever they smoke and fight. Go early if you are taking the small kids.. read more

I'm not a skater but I do love that the city has places for kids to go hang-out and skateboard instead of on the streets.

Ok so I am not the average age of a skateboarder...Im not even the average gender. BUT i do like to ride to break hangovers and to clear my mind when dumb stuff starts to bother me. This is a review for the skate park located by the wedge, not the wedge. The skatepark was somewhat of a disappointment for a dale native that grew up in the El Dorado/Coronado High School hood. Mainly, because they could have done alot more but opted out for just an addition, rather then a complete renovation. If that makes any sense. Ok, so for what the skate park offers. Well there is your amoeba bowl, launch box, fun box with a rail, and a pyramid kinda thing. The coping is kind of dug in so grinds are somewhat difficult but for cruising around and just lesiurely skating this park is fine. You can find some lines and do a little street but not much considering the size in which you have to work in. As for hours, I believe it opens when the sun rises and closes at 10:30 pm. You can go there alot of times and have the park to yourself but this would be during the hours of 9 am -3 pm. Bmx bikes are not allowed but sometimes can get away with it. Thats about all I have to say about the skate park by the wedge. As for the wedge, now thats another review/epic story. read more

Oficially El Dorado park. This park started out as a concrete bank (hence the nickname) that ran under the street, where skaters utlized this happenstance spot and dragged picinic tables to it to make it more fun. that was in the 80s and early 90s. now, the city took a hint and built an actual skate park...nice idea, in theory, but rumor is they did not engage the knowledge of skaters, and ended up with a mismanaged project that many skaters think is disjointed. it is free, and part a long, nice park that snakes through Scottsdale and really is very nice. i have lots of good memories of this particular park...before it was a "skatepark" so i enjoy a day here. read more

Awesome skate park, a personal favourite of mine, its close to a ton of food places so after your done with a sesh you could get some food and the park itself is nice, kinda small but its not ever really over crowded. Scootering is also aloud there and the community there is pretty chill. read more

The bowl is more of a ditch with coping. There is a kink in the bottom of a couple sections of the bowl. It is not a real bowl. By today's standards, this park is about 10 years behind. There is no vert.. ..........The concrete finish work is ok. If you are a street skater, you may be in heaven. If you are a pool skater, you will not like what you see. The Sedona park is way better. The Cottonwood skatepark is much better. read more
