I've been training with Nick, the owner, for over a year now. I enjoy our sessions together. I finally have a regular schedule with Nick, but I started out going to random sessions throughout the week, based on my schedule abs his availability. I always found him to be very flexible with me. The sessions don't come cheap, but hey, you get what you pay for. That's a common theme in life. Don't forget it. Nick monitors my progress but is also very open when it comes to movements and weights. Some days I have knee pain, some days I don't. If the weight looks easy, he will increase the reps or the weight. Sometimes I am the one who says I can do more weight, and he increases it. Sometimes I am tired and sore and he asks me how I'm doing/feeling and makes adjustments based on that. I've never been injured working with Nick. He watches my movements and corrects me as needed. He asks me if and what I've trained outside of the gym so he can tailor my workout to areas I've missed. I enjoy conversing with Nick as I train. The studio is private, so my sessions are always one on one, but the gym is a membership only place, so occasionally there are other people working out. The personal training clients get first dibs on the equipment when with Nick, but there is enough stuff and space that we are never negotiating with other people. He moved to a new gym space recently and it's more spacious than the prior spot. He also has gathered more equipment. Parking is way better now too and there are separate male and female bathrooms. I'd say the new place is a major upgrade. I only do the personal training. So while I can't speak for the gym membership, what I know is- the price is reasonable, you get 24 hour access with scheduled appointment (so the gym isn't overbooked) and there are security cameras for your safety. Hate working out? This is the gym for you- we have so much fun chatting sometimes you forget what you're actually working on your fitness. Love working out? This is the gym for you- the community is supportive, complimenting your fit, giving you the latest bar/restaurant review on the daily or offering friendly Wordle competition. The equipment here is top-notch, and the members are super friendly (except for that one girl who's always in the way with her jump rope - jk that's me.) I never knew working out could be so entertaining. The members are like a cast of characters straight out of a sitcom. There's the guy who grunts so loudly you'd think he's summoning a demon, and the woman who is always in a matching sports bra and legging set (seriously, how does she do it that early in the morning?), the girl with head phones in, but is always listening and our beloved neat freak keeping us all in check when we didn't re-rack our weights that one time. No matter who you encounter, you're sure to have a good time. If you're ready to be prepared to laugh so hard you might accidentally drop a weight on your foot - join us. Terrific gym with an even more terrific owner! Nick was very accommodating for our week-long trip to FL and honored daily rates to get our training in. The gym is open 24 hours for members, which is ideal for those with non-standard schedules. I prefer smaller, private gyms to larger ones or big chains, and the Weight House did not disappoint! I found The Weight House driving down Edgewater on my way to D&D and wanted to check it out. I was a memeber of a larger, franchised gym near my office but it was a 30+ minute commute and not quite what I was looking for. The Weight House was less than 5 minutes from my house which made it an easy decision! I emailed Nick to ask a few questions, he got back to me immediately and set up a time to meet. The gym is much smaller than what I am used to but I looked at that as a good thing. It's open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; upon signing up you are given an RFID key fob for front door access. More times than not, you will be one of maybe 2-3 people in the gym. Occasionally on busier days during the rush hour (5pm-7pm) there may be 5-6 people in there with you. Everyone is super friendly, the space is kept very clean and orderly. There's enough equipment to do just about every exercise that you can think of and the owner also takes time to create videos on YouTube showing you how to do them. Also the gym has a small "kitchen" area where you have access to supplements, energy drinks, protein drink & bars. I've joined just about every franchised gym in Orlando and The Weight House has been the best gym that I've been a member of. It's a locally owned gym, full of friendly people and ran by a great guy who is super informed and beyond helpful. If you are looking for a locally owned gym in downtown/college park/winter park areas then I highly suggest checking this place out and going for a tour. read more

Since I started working out I've always gone to big gyms like LA Fitness, crowded, expensive and never quite as clean as you'd want them to be. With the Weight House I have finally found an alternative to the usual mediocre gym experience. The owner, Nick, has really created something amazing here. The space is completely redone, clean and full of the newest and best equipment out there. This coupled with the 24/7 access so I can actually work out around my schedule and I couldn't be happier. I'm so looking forward to booking time with Nick for personal training so I can continue working toward my goals. read more

Five stars does not do this place justice. This is hands down my favorite gym I have ever been to and hands down my favorite place to go in Orlando. It is always exceptionally clean, the members are very nice, and a great place to lift weights. The owner is very friendly and will happily give you advice if you want it, or just say high and give you positive re-enforcement. I highly recommend this gym to anyone who wants to get in shape, from beginner to advanced, it doesn't matter. I'll miss you and everyone in the gym! Wish you had one in Portland!! read more

The Weight House is -clean -aesthetically pleasing -everything you need -good vibes Doing personal training there is worth it! Nick, the owner and trainer at TWH is motivating, personal and professional. Being a chick it can be hard to find a gym and trainer where you feel comfortable but this atmosphere is 100% safe and I've never felt awkward or out of place. I began my fitness journey here in August 2019 doing PT 3x a week in order to get in better shape for my upcoming wedding in feb 2020. I lost the weight I wanted but "gained" so much in confidence, and community. Nick has helped me through a lot even though he doesn't know it!! Every morning I walk into the Weight House and he says good morning.. no matter what I'm mentally going through, it only takes 30 minutes and leave more empowered and in a better state of mind. I'm admittedly a giant snob when it comes to gyms. Over the past year, the weight house is the ONLY place I will train! Nick keeps the whole club in tip-top shape & there's always ample equipment for use. The 24 hour access is a dream & allows for fitness on YOUR schedule. For me, the Weight House is a great place to stay fit and build strength. It tailors to whatever I need it to be. If you are a morning person, an evening person, someone who works out alone, works out with friends, who wants a personal trainer, or who is experienced, the Weight House is the place. It is a friendly environment that centers around improving your strength and health. I personally have been here since last summer and I have improved on my form and technique lifting heavy weights thanks to the personal training available. The founder, Nick, is an awesome trainer to work with and cool guy to talk with in between sets. Great community here. This gym is great because it's small and it feels very private inside. If you're like me you couldn't be paid to go work out in some giant facility with 800 machines and a juice bar. The Weight House in College Park has absolutely not fuss to it, it's very clean, it's not expensive and the owner is great. You can get private training sessions from the owner as well, which are excellent if you're beginning or want help maintaining proper form or to learn new techniques. The best part about the personal training is that, for me anyway, it was totally focused on technique and what to do when I work out on my own. There was no talk of diet or how one day I totally showed up with caramel Macchiato stained on my shirt... It was simply "here's what to do when in the gym" and it was great! read more

Great place to workout! Pretty easy to get a workout in with the 24/7 access and new equipment! Nick is great for personal training too. He's very knowledgeable, keeps your form in check and keeps you motivated all at the same time. Def Recommend this gym for both your own personal workouts and personal training as well! read more
