3.5 STARS On the last day of enjoying our family day weekend, everyone decided to go for breakfast at The Weirs. My sister in law was able to make reservations for 11am, and they don't take reservations, but they were kind enough to do that for us (group of 14). At 11am there was already a long line of people waiting, but since we had reservations, we were able to walk ahead to be seated right away. We were greeted by our waiter, and he asked what drinks we would like, once he came back we were ready to order. I got the Ultimate Rama Breakfast and mr. Tran got himself the steak and home fries. Took about 15-20 mins for our orders to all arrive. My plate was big and I wasn't able to finish my pancake and the pea meal bacon (too salty for me). My toddler and I shared everything else. I had a piece of the steak and it was okay, it had a beefy aftertaste that I don't really like, but mr. Tran enjoyed it. Everything was paid for on my mother in laws Rama club points card as she accumulated a lot of points, so breakfast was basically free and we just put in tips for the amazing server. read more

This is located right off the lobby of the casino rama hotel open for breakfast/brunch. Both times we went we didn't have to wait for a table and our servers were really friendly. The food was good, they have all your standard breakfast food. It was also very fairly priced and everything was a big portion. Would definitely recommend if you're staying at the hotel. read more

The Weirs is the perfect Breakfast-Brunch-Lunch stop. The Omelettes are huge. And a great price point. All Breakfasts are filling and keep you going til mid day. The Sandwiches are always well made with roasted Turkey on site in two types of Sandwiches - Hot Turkey or a Turkey Clubhouse (my favorite). The Service staff are very efficient and quite welcoming and warm. I've only had 1 bad experience with a poor server/service. The place could be a little cleaner especially in busy times. They need to add 1 floater who just keeps bussing tables and picking up stuff dropped on floors so the servers can do what they do best. If you're not an early riser, I recommend come AFTER 11AM Check-Out or after 12PM on weekends. read more

Inside the Rama resort but not inside the Casino (don't need ID to get in). It is right beside the waterfall area. They have all day breakfast type food, some pasta and some sandwiches. The selection isn't very exciting but prices are decent. If you're not looking for anything wow-ing this might not be a bad choice. The service isn't the fastest and greatest but doable. They accept dinner coupons redeemed from rama points (show upon being seated, one coupon per member card). Overall I'll come back but not having a high expectation. read more

The food is consistent here but so is the extremely slow service. The people that work here, while not rude, are very welcoming or engaging. I hate having waited 15 minutes for someone to take my drink order how they rush over and impatiently wait for you to place your order, even if you are ordering but have questions about the menu. Also, I know this is Canada and they are not big on a lot of meat alternatives, but it would be nice to have the option of another kind of meat with breakfast besides sausage, ham or bacon. There are people that don't eat pork and I don't want sliced turkey with my breakfast. I always get the pancakes. One order is enough for two people maybe even three to share. They don't come with meat though, those options worth the pancakes and waffles are a la carte. Overall I give them 3 stars because the coffee is usually fresh and the food comes out fresh and hot. No bells and whistles but straightforward and fresh tasting and looking food. When I'm here for work at this casino, it's usually my go to option for breakfast because the only other option really is Tim Horton's. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and on the weekends this place is packed. I've waited 45 minutes for a table and another 45-50 minutes for my food before. But, not today my wait time for my food including the time it took to order was about 35 minutes. I do recommend them if you like breakfast, eat pork, have some time to spare and have an appetite. read more

Everything is really well done at this establishment. Great breakfast options but I like their regular menu as well. Staff: Always delightful and this time was no exception. Took our orders quickly, checked up on our consistently, kept our cups filled with drinks, and the food came quick as well. Couldn't have asked for more. Ambience: I love the running water nearby, and the décor keeps with the rest of the Casino's theme. Seating is comfy and it's not too loud even though it's an open concept. Food: I ordered a Clubhouse Panini with a side of Breakfast Sausages (I justified it by saying that it was lunch). The portions were very hefty and flavour-wise was very yummy! It was a tad on the greasier side which didn't sit too great with me afterwards though. And I wished they could heat it up more so that the cheese was melted because it was a Panini. If you're there for a show or have a hankering for slots, I would say this a great food option. You may need reservations though as it does get quite busy. read more

My wife and I frequent Casino Rama and when we stay in the hotel our restaurant of choice is The Weirs. it's very handy that it's open 24 hours. A previous review mentions their French Onion Soup, this is something that we always order when we eat at The Weirs. Breakfast is my meal of choice here, I thoroughly enjoy the "Jackpot Breakfast". Warning: Be careful what you order at certain hours. We had a late dinner one night (around 1am) and we both ordered the meatloaf. I'm not sure what their holding practices are with the meatloaf, but about 4 hours later I was jumping out of bed and rushing to the washroom to vomit ferociously. It hit my wife a few hours later. As with all restaurants there is the occasional lazy waitres, but there are also those that will bend over backwards to ensure you enjoy your dining experience. As for the food itself, the Food Poisoning incident was the only time I wasn't satisfied with the food. read more

I was dying for a burger and came here on a recommendation. It was a great burger with sweet potato French fries. I made quick work of it and ordered a nice cheesecake dessert. The atmosphere is lovely with water features and stonework. I don't want to over-praise a simple bacon cheeseburger, but it truly did hit the spot for me. Everything was great except for the food! I loved the spacious interior and our fantastic waitress (Carly? Cathy?) who was really friendly and fast despite working about half a dozen tables. The prices for the food weren't too steep, and the food came in generous portions. Unfortunately, the roasted half-chicken I went with was difficult to stomach. It was a bit of a chore to eat it, between sorting through the large amounts of gristle, fat and bones. Some parts of the edible chicken were pink on the inside, which was a big turn-off. The accompanying vegetables of mashed potatoes and green beans were ok, but bland overall. I left feeling full, which was the intention I suppose, but it wasn't a very enjoyable meal. read more
