It's my boyfriend and I's thing to explore different coffee shops together so naturally we found ourselves here on a sunny Monday afternoon. My boyfriend is a coffee enthusiast so he always loves to try an espresso shot wherever he goes along with a cold brew of some sort. The cold brew he ordered was no ordinary cold brew. It was a coffee EXPERIENCE. The cup came upside down on a wooden board with the carafe of coffee beside it. under the cup was a smoke from the board that was burnt right before served to you. It fills the cup and you are instructed to squeeze the lemon peel they give you and drop it in the cup along with ice. From there pour about a fourth of the cup and wait a minute before tasting. All we could say was WOW because it was such a unique coffee flavor that i had never tasted before. It almost made me jealous I didn't order my own. We also ordered 2 Egg sandwiches with bacon. VERY tasty. The bun was so soft and the sandwich as a whole was just very good. I myself also ordered an iced caramel latte which met my standards for sure. I love this cafe and everything about it except that there is extremely limited seating compared to the size of the cafe. It has a clean and quaint interior and the pastries and coffee are good too. They don't bake breads in house but cookies and other pastries are baked there. The shortbread cookies pair with coffee well! Though their standard coffee is amazing as is, I personally love their oat draft and would definitely recommend a try! It's pretty quiet and well lit so I think it would make a good place to study or get work done if needed~ read more

This place has got to be one of my favorite cafes, I've been coming here for a couple of months now and it never disappoints. I appreciate that nothing is too sweet or salty, there's lots of yummies to choose from. I'm actually not a coffee drinker but that doesn't keep me from coming! Others that have come to the cafe with me rave about their coffee quality. From their americano, latte, siphon, Japanese iced coffee, regular cold brew, etc. My most fav thing on their menu is the purple sweet potato latte, it's perfect! Other places make it so sweet that I feel like I'm getting cavities ): Matt makes the cutest latte art, it's so exciting to see what he will make for me every time I go there! I've tried the Tropical Bliss and Sesame Symphony smoothies, no added sugar and so refreshing on a hot day. The butterfly pea lavender lemonade is a fun looking drink, really like that one too. Overnight oats, acai bowl, banana bread, matcha latte.. Omg let me just stop before I list the whole menu on this review LOL! Main point is... grab a whole bunch of people and try this place out XD They've even had coffee classes for adults which was fantastic and educational. They also held coffee camp for kids to learn about everything coffee and the barista life. If that's not your thing.. They hold community dinners and artist nights which are always fun. Awesome music with thoughtful reflections and prayer. The staff are such amazing people, they'll go out of their way to make sure you're having a good experience. They really put heart into their work and you definitely can taste it! It's always clean there, decor is simplistic but welcoming. It's always wonderful every time I go. Oh! If you have kids, they have a cute little playroom too. They really thought of everything when it comes to accommodating all kinds of people. This is a newer coffee shop that opened up last year. When I first went, I was wow'd by the decor. It's a very cosy and compact shop and the staff are very welcoming. Peter, the manager, answered all the questions I had and introduced me to some unique drinks I had never tried before. Have you ever had a London Fog? Highly recommend it! New cafe in town! They have a very relaxing and chill atmosphere, perfect for a cafe. The Prosciutto Panini and the Smoked Salmon Sandwich are both really good, very flavorful and come with a choice of veggie chips or a side salad. My friends say the coffee is amazing as well, especially the Oat Draft. The Portugese Egg Tarts only come out at 3pm every day, so make sure you get them in time! Our only complaint is that the food and drink is a bit expensive. Otherwise, this cafe is definitely worth a visit! read more

Only a small shingle will advise you to the location of this cozy café. Situated on ground floor of a larger, mixed-use building, they use the space quite well in providing and enjoyable environment. I have been here several times, and what I truly enjoy, aside from the friendly and attentive service, is the oat milk draft and the egg custard tart. A double shot of espresso is the standard for their small beverage, and they are most generous with the care with which they make each beverage. I've been coming here for years and up until today, I have not had a problem. One of the workers saw me eating a small bag of chips she told me to eat the chips outside because they didn't allow other food inside the cafe. I have food allergies. There is nothing for me to eat in this cafe. It's a small bag of chips...talk about blowing something insignificant out of proportion. If they offered food/snack options that catered to my dietary restrictions, I would not have to bring a snack. Mind you, I order several drink from here every time I'm in the cafe. I mentioned this to them many times throughout the years, but they never catered to dietary needs. I once tried ordering a salad from them and I explained to the cashier that I cant have any bread or flour and she literally put croutons and bread on the salad I ordered. I can't even trust them to make a simple salad for me and now I can't eat a bag of chips. Not to mention people around me were eating their snacks and candy (that they did not purchase there) and they were not told to stop. They just pick and choose. It's safe to say, they've lost a loyal customer, plus the people I've introduced to the cafe. They aren't returning either. Going there is not worth the bad attitude and disrespect. I found another coffee shop, it's much better and with less attitude. read more

Theres a lot of cafes around the area but I can see this place becoming one of my favorites. Going to try to visit more often! I asked about the Black & Tan and the staff was more than happy to explain what it was to me (combination of cold brew & oat draft latte) and even offered to let me sample the oat draft latte before I made my order. The Black & Tan tasted great and I can't wait to try out the other drinks & food they have :) During the several hours I spent studying here in the afternoon, the place was always clean, never too crowded/loud, had plenty of available tables/seats, had a good amount of both natural and indoor lighting, and had fast wifi. Every time I pass by this cafe it is always packed. I came here with the intention of studying with two other friends. We were very lucky that a party was leaving just as we were arriving. I was about to order a regular ice coffee when I noticed they had a poster out for a special type of Japanese ice coffee. I ordered it since I wanted to try something new and was surprised it was $8. When I asked the barista what was special about the coffee, he said that the special brewing process would take a while and it required more tools to make. I was skeptical about it being worth $8, but was very curious. The coffee did take longer than usual to come and it came in coffee pot which you pour over a cup of ice. The coffee tasted less bitter than other ice coffees I've had and it was a pleasant experience. While I wouldn't order this often since I think that $8 for a ice coffee is very expensive, I believe it was a worth while experience. As a personal preference, I do not like small tables even though I know it creates a more intimitate experience. There was barley enough space for my coffee and laptop on the same table. Also, since the cafe was so lively, it was hard to study. This is definitely the place to catch up with some friends, I could not get a lot of studying done. read more

Came here for a quick stop to get coffee for the coffee obsessed in my family. I have to say this place must be very liked with the bustle and line we walked into. I love the decor and the very low key front sign. If we weren't looking for it - I would have never known this was a coffee shop. For someone that's not a big fan of coffee I have to appreciate the flavor of their drinks! Very yummy and tasty with the right intensity. Love the simple modern interior of this cafe - it's spacious and the big windows bring in a lot of natural light. The staff is very friendly. It's a good place to meet up with a friend or to get work done by yourself (if you're with a group then the tables might be too small). The bathroom is big and clean which I appreciate. The sandwiches I got were just okay but the London fog WITH LAVENDER is amazing! Their drinks overall are refreshing and served in cute cups. Really nice spot. I ordered the milk tea with a different tea, but it didn't really work, so they replaced it with the Earl Grey for free. I got it with vanilla, and it was delicious. The owner also let us try some of their cranberry shortbread cookies, which are really a nice little treat. The place has a bright, clean, modern vibe, but not sterile -- enough decoration to enjoy. I'd absolutely work out of this spot if I lived nearby. The biggest con, for me, was the hassle of parking nearby. Good luck with that. read more

I've been walking by this lovely cafe for months during construction and finally decided to check it out during some time off to catch up with a friend. I really loved the friendliness of the staff that explained the different coffee drinks they have. The aesthetic and overall vibe is sort of industrial chic, very modern. The bright windows offering natural light pair well with the color scheme. I agree with other reviewers that I wish there were more seating. We came around 11am on a Tuesday morning and it was empty. I think this would be a great morning work/study spot as it started picking up around noon and was full when we left around 1:30pm. The coffee was superb as well the toast we got. I will definitely return to this place as the one other thing I love is that it opens early (sign said 8:30am) compared to other cafes in the area which don't open until 10am or later. read more

Came here on a Saturday morning right after the holiday, the place is nice and cozy. We ordered a drip coffee, hot latte, a croissant and the mixed fruit toast. I'm not really a coffee person so I usually order a latte and it was very good with a nice touch of the latte art. I enjoyed this small touch detail a lot as I feel like latte art has been slowly forgotten in many coffee spots I've been to, and this one you can tell they didn't do the latte art because they had to do it, but because they really take the time and effort to serve you the best they can so kudos for that. I never enjoyed drip coffee as they're too strong for me but my boyfriend liked it, the drip coffee is on an acidic side ( I am definitely not using the right word to describe haha) if anyone is looking for this flavor. The plain croissant was good but nothing to be missed if you don't order it. The mixed fruit toast was my favorite, they give you enough fruits, cream and the best part is that before they put the cream and fruits on the bread, they put a hint of honey on the toast bread which makes it even more flavorful, just the right amount of sweetness. This reminds me of one of the golden toasts I had in Korea long time ago. I did a little research about this coffee spots afterwards and they actually give back to the community with their profits to help people in need, totally support that! I don't live super close to this coffee place but we'll definitely go back a lot, just for their mission and the great food, coffee and super great customer service! Their coffee tastes so rich and has lovely depths of flavor. Their berry toast is crisp, fluffy, and has a mild sweetness. Their hummus toast had a savory, yet refreshing mix. The workers are very kind. I'm not sure if it was the owner but she was very welcoming and had a way of making me feel at home. On Valentine's Day they gave freebies of marshmallows they made. Well Coffee is my favorite coffee place in the neighborhood! The separate kid's playroom is paradise for parents who want to enjoy the breakfast in weekends. I love it here! The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is very pleasant. Very inviting and you don't feel rushed to leave at all. I love the ruby ginger wellness latte and the iced lavender latte (they garnish it with lavender buds - cute!). The food is pretty good too, although I wish they had more baked items. I just recently moved to Queens so I've been trying all the coffee shops down this block and this is definitely a contender for the number 1 spot to go to. While I have yet to try other drinks aside from their oat draft latte it's a unique coffee drink I can't order at other cafes down the same block! Aside from the great-tasting coffee the staff is super delightful! The barista I had the pleasure of chatting with last week and this morning was super sweet and even with a mask I could tell she was super smiley & enjoyed what she was doing.
