Absolutely horrible experience. I am in shock at the beginning how full was the place having such bad services and food . Then, I realized everyone there was a computer and 1/2 of small drink or free cup of water, and I understood all . I didn't see in any table potencial food or even drinks. So sad to see such cute place w nice idea to have a mini liquor Bar next to panini and coffee section. The ser vices was tremendously bad, I hope at least one person around YELP believe me . The girl that made my sandwich w all that long curly puffy black hair out doing sandwiches, no pick up ponytail or at least a hat on it . All out there on top of food section , (food certification should be around at that moment . She was so upset, mad, bitter she could cut me w those annoyed eyes; she just literally tossed both sandwiches's plates onto the counter, and then--from where she was standing--threw the two bags of potato chips onto the plates. As for the sandwich, it was perhaps the most horrible one I have ever eaten. I ordered the Vegetarian Panini; it was hollow--completely lacking filling--and over-toasted and dry. I hope this bad experience doesn't happen to anyone else. My boyfriend left them a nice tip, though sadly, I don't think either of the two girls behind the counter deserved it--especially the one with her hair down all on top of the food . Disgusting customer service from one of the female baristas. She has a nose and lip piercing. I was nothing but sweet, polite, and appreciative throughout my order. I even left an appropriate tip for my coffee and bagel despite sensing her attitude while placing the order. After making me wait a long time when there was no other order she was serving other people's orders who came after me and then , she threw my bagel onto the counter despite knowing I was sitting literally right next to the coffee counter at the bar. Throughout my order she had ugly attitude The attitude was nasty, unnecessary, and completely unprofessional. I've been a local Williamsburger for the past 8 years and have come here frequently over the years while working remotely, as I live just a few blocks away. In all that time, I've never encountered this kind of behavior from anyone else on staff. There is no excuse for that kind of character or treatment of a customer. The West BK is one of my favorite places in Williamsburg to work from. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of chargers, and hooks for bags under the bar (which I always appreciate). It becomes a bar at night and they have open mic nights and movie viewings. The staff is always so so nice, even taking the time to have a conversation about the music playing or whatever. Their drinks are good and their food was surprisingly great! Their sandwiches are all reasonably priced so it's a great place to hunker down early in the day and stay through lunch. It's also a super convenient place to get your morning coffee before hopping on the L or the G. The only reason it's getting 4 stars is that some patrons can be a bit rowdy, even during the day. This is at no fault of the business but since they serve alcohol all day, there can be the stray drinker at 1pm on a Tuesday. This has only really bothered me once or twice out of the many times I've been so don't let it sway you away. read more

Its on the smaller size and they don't have salsa, only hot sauces (the san diegan in me died a little lol). I recommend just getting the plain burrito, the bacon isn't worth the extra $2. The draft beers here are so good. They have lots a varieties to choose from. Came here two weeks ago and had the Beer Project LIC sour hour. And couldn't wait to have it again and they switched it out for another sour beer that I wasn't too fond of. So opted for the Brooklyn Ale. Cozy backyard seating. But tables need to be wiped down every once in awhile. Especially the table with the umbrella. Being that it's tiled. Bartenders are pleasant and welcoming and allow u to try any draft beer u like! I stumbled upon this hidden gem after an afternoon of thrifting with my best friend and it was the perfect break. Upon entering the bar/cafe, we presented our IDs and Vax cards then ordered our drinks. I ordered the Bells Two Hearted IPA and sat with my friend across from the bar near the round tabletops. I go out of my way and pass by several other coffee shops because I like the west THAT much. My inner basic bitch was so happy to discover that they're the only local spot (aside from Starbucks) that serves pumpkin spice lattes during the fall/winter. They have a couple of other seasonal latte flavors like maple and turmeric as well, and their cold brew is tasty and strong. As for food, I've only tried the breakfast burrito, which was delish, but I know they have a few other basic menu items (they dont have a full kitchen) along with a full bar. Speaking of the bar, they have happy hour until 8 which includes several drink specials including their signature cocktail (the double entendre) for $7. It's a cocktail made with gin thats infused in-house with earl grey tea - it's truly a phenomenal drink, and that's coming from someone who hates gin. If you made it this far and still can't tell by now... I love this place. It's an all-around winner and everything I want in an establishment. read more

I love the retro rustic feel to the joint, not 1960-70s, more so the 80s. Hard to explain but I fucking love the place makes me feel. I ordered a cold brew, black. My one statement led into a debate with my boy who's saying that Starbuck's cold brew is better. I say the cold brew here was unique and had a smoother taste to it. Another thing I love about this place that I think that really stands out above any other cafe joint I've ever been to is there condiment selection. I mean for fuck sake, they have fucking agave syrup! While I did not partake in the food, bar and cocktail services that this place has to offer, I did enjoy a strong and delicious coffee one morning. This spot was a short 30 second walk from the place I was staying in Brooklyn, so this was an obvious choice to get my morning brew. They had a cute little take out window that was attached to the side of the bar where I placed my order. The bartender/server/barista was friendly and had my coffee ready to go within two minutes. It was efficient, to say the least. This area of Brooklyn has plenty of bars and restaurants, but when I passed by here one of the evenings, it was packed. It's dark inside. There's WiFi. They played cool music by artists like Kwaye on the Saturday morning post Christmas 2019 when I went in to pick up iced coffee and ricotta and jam on toast. The barista man was very friendly. Many of their muffins and snacks are vegan friendly. Oat, coconut, almond and soy non dairy milk alternatives are available. The iced coffee is excellent and will set you back almost $5. Get a punch card if you're a regular so you can eventually get a free coffee. read more

Absolutely favorite place to go. It's a Café/Bar which sounds strange at first, but it works. The staff there are super nice and their morning menu is really good. My favorite is the breakfast burrito. I wasn't a coffee person before, so I spent years missing out on this place. But I slowly started getting into coffee and this place always makes it perfect. My favorite coffee that they offer is the Salted Caramel Iced Latte. But they offer other great things like Kombucha, Matcha Lattes, seasonal goodies and more. They open the bar around 1pm and I love the frozen Painkillers that they have. They also offer frozen Coca Cola and they can add rum or anything else you would want to add to it. The coolest thing they do is their movie nights on Sundays. They show classics and sometimes broadcast events like the Oscars, SuperBowl or World Cups. I spent a month every morning at the West working on my writing, and it's the best place to do so. It's dark and has the sounds of the neighborhood but not so distracting. They also have a backyard in which they have a smokers corner, umbrellas and tables. This place can get packed on the right night so definitely try to get there on time. Would recommend this to any coffee lover or anyone that wants a quick hangout. read more
