Okay, there are better pubs in Warrnambool, but since this place brought me back for a second drink I must say that it wasn't all that bad. In part it comes across as a typical suburban pub with a sports bar, a small courtyard for the smokers, a bistro, and a room full of pokies, but it is the front bar that is pretty impressive. At night they have live bands, which while they do have a cover charge, if you happen to be in the pub before they set up you can get away with not actually paying. The front bar also has a decent selection of craft beers, which is another thing that I like, though they only offer them in the front bar. They also have a function room upstairs with a skydeck, however when I was here it was closed, which was a little unfortunate since I really do like my rooftop bars (and the courtyard was pretty ordinary). Not a bad place, but there are certainly much better pubs to spend a Saturday night. read more
