After two months it became clear it wasn't going to go full time. That was problem number 1. Problem number 2 is being a family owned business you would think they would understand family ethics and have some empathy but thats the exact opposite of what goes on there. (Someone in my family got hurt and I had to leave early.) They are stuck up, pretentious and toxic folks to work for. The owner Mike argues with his father, and with the daughter who manages the wheelhouse restaurant but use to help in the store and due to a blow out no longer does. Then theres grudges and silence. Or the owner Mike will just leave the business because he got yelled at by his father and leave his employee (me) in the store wondering where my boss went for hours of my shift while he decides not to come back because he's irritated. Problem number 3 you get talked down to like your an idiot if you make a mistake. You will get yelled at and then they will make excuses for there own stresses in their lives instead of just apologizing for yelling at you. I don't know about you but in a professional setting nobody should be yelling or raising their voices or being demeaning. Next, the daughter Meg who is second in command when her father Mike isn't around will call you names and swing her finger in your face when you make a suggestion about putting a sign on the gas pumps if they are down. Overall, very bad experience. Mike can be a nice guy but quickly can turn into a hot head and even his friend who's up visiting said "when I use to work here we use to bump heads all the time, he even fired me once, I went straight to the "old man" being the father of Mike and he said "you work for me, nobody is firing you." Also there is no direct deposit. Mike's parents are absolute sweethearts though. Its been rumored they sent him to anger management years ago and he needs to go again and take something away from the program. Another employee that no longer works there said she didn't feel safe, she thought for sure Mike and a customer were going to come to blows in the main office building where she worked. I quit on my own accord because we weren't meshing. The disrespect and yelling was not something I could tolerate. Beware! Attitudes could improve. Also. The ladies member/employee bathroom thr water trickles in one sink and you can barely get the soap off your hands.

I asked specifically if that was the case, and I was assured that didn't happen. Yet we didn't receive our food until 6:50, and it came out one meal at a time. The food at this restaurant is rather pricey, and if the food quality had been high, I would not have complained. But the food was lousy. It's about the only way I can describe it. Of the four meals ordered, only one was satisfactory. Brussel sprouts appetizer however was fairly good. The waiter used a momentary power glitch during a rain storm as the excuse for our order not getting to the kitchen, but the facts of the situation told a very different story. Not being told the truth when I made a direct request as to why our food was delayed, is flat out Unacceptable. I cannot recommend this restaurant under any circumstances.
