A lot of things should be improved at this place. Specially if you're thinking of having a party. Whoever is in charge of the people hosting a party should be more organized. We were supposed to go in at 3:30, we did not go in until 3:45 according to staff it was due to the previous party taking long to leave... we were the second ones to arrive but our party was the the last one to get seated and that's only because my sister asked one of the girls. Once in there everything was fine until they brought the pizza. The pizza was cold! We were never told the do not make the pizza there! The package we got came with 4 pizzas and we were told on the phone that if we needed more we could just let them know the day of but it would take a little longer. Once the pizza arrived besides being cold we realized it was from little Caesars. I don't mind the pizza being from there BUT at least make sure it's hot! The young lady who was helping us with the pizza and drinks would just take things without asking. When it was time to clean she didn't ask if people were done, she just started taking off the plastic table cover with everything still on the table and rolling it getting ready to throw everything away until we told her that there was personal stuff on there! That's just rude! You ask if people are done not just assume everything on the table is trash. Then she took the pitchers with soda without letting anyone know and people were still drinking specially when they were done skating. When it was time the security starts staring you down by your table and starts saying you need to hurry up and get all your things, my husband told him oh you guys want us to hurry but didn't mind letting us in late well now we're going to take our time. Overall this place needs a lot of improvement when it comes to organizing parties. Train your employees to always ask the people on their tables if they are done with something before throwing it away or taking it away. Sell little Caesar's pizza double/triple the price but at least make sure it's hot before serving it! read more

We went the first time recently for a birthday party and it was cute. Definitely good for a kid's bday. When we first walked up there were a lot of empty booze cans in the parking lot near the entrance, so not a great first impression. As we walked in, there were two young women to check us in for the party. They seemed kind of confused when we gave them our names, and then told us we could just go ahead in. They weren't very friendly or helpful. Once inside, we were able to easily find the area they had reserved for the party. It was decorated and had a host to help with the kids. Unfortunately the host didn't really seem on top of things. A couple of times during the party things ran out (cups/soda/water) and she was nowhere to be found. I waited in line at the snack bar to get some assistance, and then told they would find the host to come help us. You can bring in your own skates or rollerblades, or they have skate rentals there. There are no rollerblades available to rent tho, only regular skates. I was disappointed when I found this out there, since I only rollerblade and didn't bring my own pair with me. The facility is cash free, but there are lockers and arcade games that require cash/coins. There is a change machine available for their use. I think the lockers were $1.25, and they're one time use - so every time you open them you need to pay again. There was a DJ playing some good music for us older adults. Overall all, it was okay. Visited this location on a Saturday adult night 18+ enjoyed the music by DJ Wayne I heard a lot about him as a DJ in the Skate world and as an OG Skater and living in the IE it was a blessing to not have to travel far finally and have an amazing time. I enjoy the hassle free parking and top security along with the availability of lockers. I'm reviewing as a Spectator as I came here for a birthday party my daughter was invited to. There were two workers at the front as you walk in. No greeting and no smiles from them. Not necessarily rude but we didn't feel welcome. As you walk in, the vacinity near the arcade and skate rental was clean. The gentleman distributing the skates (we came on Saturday evening today around 5:30) was very kind and helpful! As I went to find a table to sit at, every single one looked sticky and unclean. There weren't any trash on them but none of them seemed to be wiped down after every customer. The skate area was a good size, smooth, and the music/dj was great! They make it impossible for families to be able to go regularly with their outrages prices. My kids want to go regularly but we pay more there than our Disneyland passes for the entire month. It's sad, they don't even have an affordable rate anymore for a monthly pass. read more

We were told that sealed water bottles weren't allowed. These rules, with others however were inconsistently enforced. They now have a referree skating around. There is also some sort of mascot on the floor too. The floor seemed redone, as well as the carpet. There is a cotton candy machine that costs $10 per item . The machine malfunctioned after it made about 4. The middle bathroom stall is still out of order, but at least the bathroom floor drains properly now. I called to secure a birthday party for my son. I was told that 50% would have to be paid up front. After that I was called multiple times to make a payment that his father was making. I then received a text stating that I had 20 minutes to pay or else the party would be cancelled. The next day he called to schedule that party. He was then told that the whole amount would need to be paid up front. We cancelled that idea seeing as how everything had changed. Everyone just showed up and we paid. We then ordered pizza for the guests who came with us. We never received our pizza because they gave our pizza to the party that already had their food. When asked about it they told me there was nothing that they could do because all their fryers were off, and if they were to turn them back on then the oil wouldn't even be hot until the end of the session. There was never anything done to help us. 10 out of 10 would NOT reccommend! read more

As mother and grandmother I have been to many skating rinks, even outside of California. Unfortunately, this is the worst I have ever experienced. For starters the A/C was almost non-existent. I saw one wall unit and some ceiling fans. At temperatures in the 90s, it was so hot it was uncomfortable. This also amplified the funky smell of feet, body odor, and filthy, dusty carpet. The bathrooms were also nasty as if it is only cleaned once a day. This was our first time because the website was definitely misleading about the condition of this place. Came here for family fun night with sweetheart, daughter and grandkids. Don't know how to skate but watching my daughter teaching her kids how to skate is as much fun as feeling like I'm skating myself. Warm friendly reception. Place clean and organized (huge). Busy on a Friday night. Lots of young kids just having fun and enjoying the place. Can't help though not liking the wet dog or sweaty socks kinda smell of the place coming in. Sweetheart ordered bbq wings. She wanted brisket fries also but was told they ran out. Chicken was surprisingly good. Soft and tender and full of flavor . Not sure if we got the bbq flavor we ordered. Taste more like spicy buffalo wings. Fries was salted very well. Crunchy on the bite but still soft and moist inside. Extended our 6-9 initial check in to 9-midnight. Really fun family time. read more

This review is for the skate lessons. : They have regular skating lessons and they also have a skating "team" I guess you would call it, where you compete and make up routines and stuff. The main lady in charge (red hair) is not very friendly. She doesn't explain anything and you are left with a lot of questions. She doesn't make you feel welcomed at all. Her daughter is a coach. She's super bitchy and not friendly at all. They only talk to the people who have been there a long time- if you're a newbie- they don't even give you the time of day and make you feel like an outsider. My daughter hated her skating lessons for no reason other than the main coach and her daughter are snobby and bitchy- I didn't care for them either to be honest. So if you are considering joining their team- just be aware- they aren't the most welcoming people. read more

So me and my wife like to roller skate, and we usually go to Skate Express in chino but this one seemed pretty cool to go check out. First thing that sucked was they don't rent out Roller Blades, so that sucked for my niece. Trust your better off bringing your own roller blades. The second thing that sucked was the restrooms. There is no door to the restroom entrance and the sinks are shared with the men. And lastly the third thing that sucked about Cal Skate was that we werent able to buy a slice of pizza. Why? Because I guess all the pizzas that were in the display oven were for the "Birthday party" and there was literally like 4 whole pizzas and the girl did not let me purchase a slice wich I think is unfair that all the pizza is for the party and they can't put one to the side for the rest of the skaters to order or eat pizza for themselfs or their kids, what if we were planning to eat their ? We'll forget about it cause they'll deny u purchase if there is a birthday party. Music was good I can say that but service yeah a zero, won't go back. read more

The aggressive skaters ruin the experience, mostly men. I was run into and fell over 3 times because they are moving way too fast. They were apologetic but it shouldn't come to that. I get why they make you sign a new waiver every year. There was also an incident where everyone had to clear the rink due to someone falling and them cleaning it, likely blood. read more

We have hosted a total of 2 birthday parties at CSGT this year, but this last event with be the last time! The first party was fine. We had some issues, and that we figured maybe it was just an off night- but our guest had a great some hence the reason we came back- we aren't unreasonable and understand that things happen. However, this recent party, held 9/14 took the cake. We ordered the top package that comes with an assigned a party host. Adrian, who was our host, initially was amazing and incredibly accommodating! As was the security and the woman who is over security-shot out to y'all-5 starts for you! Back to Adrian.....about a little over an hour after the party started we needed more paper plates and refills on our drinks, but the host never came to check on us. After about 20 minutes, I went looking for him and after the staff went looking for him they came back to inform us that our host had gone home for the evening. So when we asked if another host would take over I was told "I don't know" I then asked why weren't we informed he was leaving and what wasn't a plan put in motion to have our party covered and the associate told me that no one knew he was leaving. So for the remainder of the night, every time we needed something I, had to go looking for someone- even up to the cotton candy jars- my guests had already started leaving and I had to go and ask about them. It was an awful customer experience and it was my birthday I spent way too much time looking for assistance that was supposed to be included in our package! It wasn't a great customer experience and now I know that the experience we had during our first party wasn't a 1-off, this establishment simply doesn't value the experience of its customers! And honestly, I may have forgiven them for this because this place is super close and the DJ on Saturday nights is such as vibe however, after Speaking with Kayleen, the person who is over parties I am now forced to write this review. I called today 10/22, as I have been out of the country and unable to call sooner. When I called today, I was just looking to share my customer experience and in some way be affirmed. But Kayleen's attitude towards the situation was so lackadaisical, that now I feel as though I have to be intentional about making sure that the word is spread about how they treat their customers! Kayleen's position was to blame me for not calling sooner, she continued to reiterate that because I waited SO long (one month and a week) that there's really nothing they can do and she wishes I would've called sooner. When I called on 10/22 at 12:40pm I had actually asked to speak to a manager or owner and the guy who answered the phone told me that the owners are out of state and have no clue about what's going on there and won't have a clue about what I'm talking about-and it shows! I would say save your money on any party packages. i celebrated my child's birthday and a good chunk of the stuff that was promised wasnt worth the price 1.Pizza was so terrible all the children of the party barely touched it. these kids love pizza so for them to not want it speaks levels. 2.We were promised special themed tableware yet when we arrived , there was only flimsy paper plates and styrofoam cups. 3.our personal hostess seemed stressed and spread thin the whole time like she was the only one working there(which she wasn't) 4.some staff members were very unhelpful and provided no resolution for the issues that arose. This is a great facility, clean, spacious well kept... rentals are good, would be nice if they had blades as well...but it only gets 3 stars because of the music...The DJ is unimaginative to say the least. We are very open minded and enjoy a variety of musical styles, but we were just here for a three hour session and the dj played maybe 8 to 10 songs that were actually good for skating. My girls came for the CA State Games for rollerskating last weekend. They competed for the first time as a Quartet. They won 2nd place! The building looked old from the outside, but it was right off the freeway. Inside the floor looked new and shiny and appeared large on the inside. There was a concession area, a good sized seating area, a few kids games and some sideline seating. The restroom looked clean with a shared sink area outside for both boys and girls. We were there for a closed session because of the competition, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. read more

My daughter had her 18th birthday party this past Saturday. From beginning to end, everything was PERFECT! We purchased the 21/2 hour party package which gave us our own space. The food was surprisingly delicious and there was plenty to go around. Our hostess made it so easy for us and she was so sweet. Even the greeter was amazing. I believe his name was Rashawn. They offered $1 pizza slices the last hour of the night. I wish they offered skating a little earlier so the young kids can skate more. We left an hour earlier because it's a school night. I haven't been in years, went the other day with my family and they had us all waiting outside in the heat till our session started, once in they tell us we need to have the season booked no communication on that, as well as their system being down. That I can all look past as I've worked retail my whole life. What was not appropriate was the lack of communication and customer service! We've been here 3 times in the last couple of months. And it's just eh. The smell isn't the best, as soon as you come in it just smells like musty old carpet. The skates look ew. The music is ok, but the employees aren't the best. The review is for the last time we were here, 2 days ago. The referee is pretty annoying, just whistle blows every 5 seconds! The bathroom has a messed up stall that they will never fix I guess. I went to order a drink, and everyone was sitting at a table talking, no employee to help me. One finally noticed me and took her time coming over to take my order. Went back later to order food, now the employees were talking in the back and couldn't see me, so I had to call to them. Ordered hot wings. We were there for our daughter's team bonding, so we paid to skate for 6:30-9. Hot wings took FOREVER to come out, we got them right before 9. As we start to eat, they stop the music and tell us everyone who paid until 9 had to leave. We literally just got our food and were rushed out! Was there no way to let us sit and finish eating first! If it's gonna take you an hour to make hot wings, you should inform the customer that! They also never told us that once it hits 9 o'clock, we had to leave the facility! This place could use some updating. But otherwise, it's fairly clean and takes me back to my childhood. They charge $5 admission if you don't skate, which is unnecessary. Plan to spend $12 if you are a skater and another $5 for skate rental. There is a snack bar, party area, and some games along the side wall. read more

The skating rink was smooth and in very good shape! Staff were very friendly and helpful! Lots of seating area and it was a busy Sunday afternoon! The food was great! Please check wheels for crud so we don't have to skate over it. Check the out of control skaters providing a skate monitor, especially during all skate sessions. Skaters going the wrong direction, skatemates and out of control skaters made for a very poor experience. Add in the Friday flashback skate session of 80s-2000s songs being lost on the DJ. Terrible selection of music once again with so many people were listening to their own music. If you're going to play bad music at least advertise it. Snack bar was good as usual, thanks! read more
