Speaking from personal experience not assumptions. If you're looking for a fun, lighthearted, recreational gymnastics experience, this gym can be a great fit. My kids truly enjoyed their time in the recreational classes. However, if your child's goal is to compete SERIOUSLY and pursue gymnastics at a higher level, this is not the gym for that. My daughter joined what was promoted as a competitive program, but what was promised and what was actually delivered were two very different things. The program switched from USAG to NGA to AAU three major changes in one season and the structure and training quality declined each time. We were ultimately refunded after realizing the "competitive" season we were sold on was not legitimate. Since leaving, we've had our daughter evaluated by credible, established COMPETITIVE gyms and their top concern was alarming. The techniques she was taught here were unsafe and could lead to serious injury, including broken bones. That says a lot about the lack of proper competitive coaching and oversight. The owner continues to promote a dream of high-level competition that simply doesn't exist there, and unfortunately, many families fall for it especially since this is the only local option. Yes, it's local and convenient, but for what you're paying, why not invest that same amount or even less into a program where your child is actually guaranteed the opportunity to grow and reach their competitive goals? Another major concern is that the owner often uses scare tactics to justify all the changes and will try to overtalk you with a stream of "facts." Those "facts" may sound good, but unfortunately, they're not 100% true they're presented in a way that makes everything sound more in her favor. Please do your own research. You'll quickly see those explanations are polished-up stories meant to benefit their pockets, not your child's future in gymnastics. And while they like to advertise being the "top gym" in the area - look around and ask what they're being compared to. There's no real competition locally, which is why so many families stay without realizing there are much better options just a short drive away. There are actually quite a few options within a 30-mile radius, but we personally chose to explore two gyms in Temecula because of the strong programs they offered and how well they aligned with our daughter's competitive goals. Both gyms have many athletes who left CG and are now thriving relearning skills safely, correctly, and progressing faster. Several former coaches from CG have also moved to those gyms for the same reasons. If your child is truly aiming to compete, do your research. Although the gyms aren't as "local" the other gyms offer real USAG programs, professional coaching, and better pricing with far more value and transparency than what we experienced here. Bottom line: This gym is fine for recreational fun, but not for genuine competition. Protect your child's safety and your family's investment by exploring all your options first. If anything at all PLEASE, PLEASE do your OWN research. read more

My daughter Gabriella has been going to Charlot gymnastics since she was 5 years old for 3 years now and she started with coach Kim who was always absolutely amazing with her not only was she an excellent coach but also made her feel special and dedicated time for every kids special needs. She then leveled up and was with coach Jeremy who is obviously very qualified for his position ( we love watching him show off his gymnasts skills) and now she leveled up again and is with coach Sara who is very nice and has shown interest in being the coach Gabriella needs! We are very happy with this place everyone always makes you feel welcomed and they are all so nice and caring! We love this place! My daughter has been going here for over a year now! She is on the team here and recently got 7th Place at Nationals (which is a bigger deal than it sounds, she beat out thousands of girls to get there). Prices are great and coaches are knowledgeable. Hurry and sign up for the summer, they are working on skills. So far this summer my daughter has gotten several skills, some on bars, beam and vault and on floor she got her front tuck, and her round off back handspring back tuck consistently with proper techniques! read more

This gym is a great gym for the older kids. However, I found that there was MANY problems with the younger age groups especially in the Saturday class. Pros: -Some amazing coaches(if you are lucky enough to have one of them) -extremely awesome productive, responsive and passionate owners -Great for learning about confidence -great for learning colors, counting -great for learning basics of gymnastics -have a bunch of different classes(tumble tots just as an example) Cons: -ages 3-6 should NOT be in the same class. Not only is it over crowded but the skills they are capable of vary greatly. It actually made my daughter age 3 less confident seeing that she couldn't do some of the stretches the 6 year olds were capable of. -classes are to full, which in turn means some kids never get any help even if the activity is not accessible to them because of their size or corrections when they do something wrong. - Teachers are young and seem to not stay long. Which means the teachers who were teaching my kids were constantly new and constantly learning how to run the classes. -more recitals and more emphasis when one exists. We were there for almost 2 years and only had one recital. It was practiced for 3 times and my husband and daughter were the only ones fromHer class to show up. I will say weekday classes are night and day, we enjoyed our Mondays class much more. Many of the above listed cons are not present those days. They charged me a total of 176.46. Enrollment and my monthly payment. My daughter got hurt within the 1st hour of her 1st class. My daughter didn't want to go back. They didn't want to refund me any money which i didn't think was right. They have there explanation on why they don't. I was expecting the whole amount back. I use to run a business and yes we had our return policies too but in certian situations I would return the customers money because it was the right thing to do. I believe this should be one of those situations. Update: 02/14/19 - I did tell you she was injured. There was injury report made. You guys even called me asking about the injury AND I wrote down for you in the paper you asked me to fill out on Tuesday. What a bummer. I won't mention the cold entrance and go straight into how the instructors huddled together for the hour and a half, barely moving around as they talk in groups to one another more than they do the students. They are dressed in lounge gear, hands in their pockets as they stand over the children, and every once in a while they will tell them what to do. They do not even as much as sit with the children and stretch with them, let alone demonstrate or participate in how to do any of the techniques. I do not see gym instructors, I see authority figures getting paid to run a colorful bouncy daycare facility. As for any activity you sign your child up for, it is always good to first go just to observe the class for yourself, this may fit what you are looking for... otherwise let's hope I went on the wrong day. read more

Enrolled my kids to try to put them into something fun but times are tough and I could no longer afford it. They hadn't gone the whole month of December and I was still charged. Called to unenroll them from today and was told they are already paid through the month of January and there is nothing they can do about that. This is a great place, to let the kids just let out at full speed. I like it, cause of all the "soft" impact toys and mats. The fact that its semi sealed off so the kids are outside but under shade, so its like a park but safer cause your kid can't go running off in a direction while your watching the other kid. The staff is very interactive even blowing bubbles with the kids and showing them different toys, and at the end of the hour the kids were wiped out and ready for a nap. Charlot Gymnastics is a fantastic place for my boys. I have two little ones taking the tumble tots class on Saturdays. I love that we had the opportunity to do a free trial lesson before committing to signing up. Coach Marlene is fantastic with the boys and they look forward to our weekly trip all week long. Coach Becky owns the gym and she is very involved and passionate about her work. We just had a Christmas recital which was so much fun and a great opportunity for the family to see how much my boys have learned in the short time they've been there. Been bringing my daughter for about 4month because my daughter likes gymnastic. However the instructors suck, they tell the kids to do something and kids are doing them but not the right way. They do not correct the kids nor they will learn how to do the appropriate move because they don't correct them. There are to many kids for a few instructors. They need to pay attention to how the kids are doing the move and if they don't do it the right way they need to correct it.. am considering on cancelling and going elsewhere if they don't do nothing to fix this read more

This post is for Sarah. This facility is full of people that can be called many things. Rude, inconsiderate and heartless are definitely not among them. I spend countless hours at the gym and I have not experienced anything but professionalism and kindness (at times too nice). The staff care about my kids like they are their own. Doug and Coach Becky have literally poured their lives into this place so kids in this valley and surrounding area can have a complete gymnastics experience. Without them we would have to look miles away for something comparable. Working hard and gymnastic training are not for everybody I do realize that, but for those of us who appreciate this sort of thing, there is no better option in the San Jacinto Valley. My children are both challenged physically and mentally when they enter the Charlot gym. This kind of experience has helped them in many other facets of their lives as well. Give them a real chance and I guarantee you will have a similar experience to myself and my family. Well worth the price of admission, especially with the new cooling system. read more

My 7 year old daughter and 10 year old son have been going to Charlot Gymnastics for a year and a half. We LOVE it. The coaches have been wonderful and we adore the supportive atmosphere at the gym. It is common to see a whole class cheering on a gymnast who is working on or has just achieved a new skill. There are many different classes for all levels and at so many times there is sure to be a class that will fit your schedule. I love that classes start and end promptly. Billing is always on time and office staff is professional, caring, and easy to talk with. The most important part is that it's FUN! My kids can't wait to go to gym! I have seen my shy daughter really come out of her shell, making friends with younger and older gymnasts and gaining confidence as she gets better and better. She is even starting to look like a little gymnast. My son loves Charlot as well. He has gained flexibility and coordination that we can already see making a difference in his other sports activities. It's also great to see the owners putting money back into the gym, getting new equipment and even a new larger facility; it really feels like they will be a fixture in our valley for years to come. read more
