Elevated bar food? Don't mind if I do, babe~ Black Rabbit Saloon is truly a neighborhood gem. It's a modern tavern offering a little bit of everything from your classic pub fare (wings, flatbreads, burgers, sandwiches) to more "upscale" dishes (homemade pasta, steak, salmon, escargot, short ribs). We visited on a Thursday night and the parking lot was packed! We stepped into the restaurant and were greeted by a lively atmosphere filled with happy locals - a telling sign that we were in for a delicious meal! Luckily we were able to snag the last table for two. If you're dining with a large group or during peak hours, I recommend making a reservation. The interior is modern and rustic with high ceilings, barn rafters, wooden furniture, and a sleek bar area. They have regular tables, high top tables, and booth-style seating along one wall. It's stylish enough for date nights, yet casual enough to enjoy a drink with friends or watch a sports game. They have Happy Hour ALL DAY on Thirsty Thursdays *smirk emoji* with an extensive drink menu of craft beers, wines, and cocktails... can't complain about that! What we ordered: *Raspberry Lychee Lemon Drop Martini ($14) - Love me a fruity drink! This martini was refreshing, sweet, and tart with a smooth finish. *Thyme to Bloom Cocktail of the Day ($16) - Includes grey goose berry rouge, pama pomegranate liqueur, thyme simple syrup, fresh lemon, egg white, & cracked black pepper. My +1 enjoyed this! Think of it as a more "fruit-forward" version of a whiskey sour with a silky texture and frothy finish. *Fried Calamari with marinara & orange remoulade sauce ($13 Happy Hour price) - The calamari was chewy, but not rubbery. The batter was light and crunchy. I enjoyed the orange remoulade - it was very tangy and paired well with the squid's subtle sweetness! *Wings with hot honey sauce ($10 Happy Hour price) - These wings were solid - juicy & meaty on the inside with lightly crispy skin on the outside! The hot honey sauce was a balanced mix of sweetness and spicy heat. *Hanger Steak [medium rare] with chimichurri & truffle fries ($32) - Okay, this might've been one of the best steaks of my life. Seriously. It was SO tender and moist, with that bright pink center. And the flavor? OMG - perfectly seasoned with garlic, salt, black pepper, and herbs. The chimichurri sauce was zesty and an amazing complement to the steak. The fries were golden, crispy, and topped with just the right amount of truffle oil and parmesan. Savory goodness! If you're a beef lover... you must order the hanger steak dish! My only complaint? I wish it was bigger, haaaaa! *Pappardelle Pasta with pulled short rib, tomato, & parmesan ($25) - Pasta is one of my favorite carbs. The noodles were homemade with an al dente texture that made every bite of this dish so much more satisfying. The sauce was incredibly rich, thick, and flavorful - a delicious blend of tomatoes, heavy cream, and parmesan. Oh, and the ribs? They were the kind that just fall apart and melt in your mouth!!! Service was great from start to finish. The entire staff (from the hostess to the waitress to the food runners) was friendly. They checked on us just enough and gave us space to enjoy our meal. Our drinks and food were served at a good pace. We were stuffed, satisfied, and wobbled out with to-go boxes. Would I come back? 1000000% yes. Are you kidding me? Generous portions and great value? Count me in. I need a reunion with that hanger steak. Plus.... I need to carb up with more of that homemade pasta.

Cute interior and bar, with ample parking outside. Friendly servers and efficient service. Appetizer specials we good - Buffalo bites were best offering. Bavarian pretzel was tasty as well. Nice beer menu with some great selections. Mains were bland and fries were greasy, likely cooked in oil that wasn't hot enough. I live 20 minutes away; not dying to return. If I could give 3.5 stars I would. Rounding up to 4 because our server was good.

Cute Tavern in Montvale Bootan area. Nice open space with high tops a big bar and small wooden tables. They also have a long table for a big party, but it's a high top. Nice menu with a big variety of casual and some upscale things like short ribs. They have a great tvs so good spot to watch a game. They also have a downstairs seating area with a few tables and a bar. I'd go back!

Went there for a Saturday lunch. Got seated quickly. The place nice and kid friendly. Service is fast. The food was good, just a bit pricy for what it is. Overall nice place to catch up with friends since the music is not too loud allows for conversation.

The place is really nice and spacious, we made a reservation just in case and the place did fill up at around 1:30pm so it was good that we did! Our waiter was really nice and gave us a good recommendation for their wings - definitely try them if you go, they do $1 a wing on Sundays! Their alabama white bbq sauce is stellar! Their drinks were really good, especially the "year of the rabbit" one. The tacos were okay, the fish was good but the rest (rice and toppings) was lacking flavor.

Came here the other night to try something new while still staying close to home. Sat at the bar and we were immediately welcomed! The bartender was super nice. We ordered the spiked calamari from the specials menu and the shrimp with shishito peppers. I was hesitant about both but they were oddly good. The spike calamari had calamari olives and hot peppers. I had to get an espresso martini with dessert - it was made perfectly. The blueberry cheesecake was just ok - you could tell it wasn't homemade. We also made friends with a nice older man who sat next to us. All in all, I'd come back here again.

"Tried to amend my carnivorous habits Made it nearly seventy days Losin' weight without speed, eatin' sunflower seeds Drinkin' lots of carrot juice and soakin' up rays But at night I'd have these wonderful dreams Some kind of sensuous treat Not zucchini, fettuccini, or bulgur wheat But a big warm bun and a huge hunk of meat Cheeseburger in paradise Heaven on earth with an onion slice Not too particular, not too precise Just ate a cheeseburger in paradise (Black Rabbit Saloon" Jimmy Buffett This is the song that came to mind in this local eatery. Happy Hour is the best all day on Thursday. Most of the time (Mon., Wed, and Friday) Happy Hour is from (3-6pm). Drafts are (2 off), the staff is super friendly, and the place is clean, the flowers are beautiful out front and the air condition is humming. I like conversation at meal time but the large spacious dinning area makes conversation difficult. My dinner date did not mind. Could it be I talk too much.

Pappardelle pasta dish with pulled short rib, tomatoes,Parmesan amazing flavor, highly recommend.

Unbelievable dinner experience last night , party of 4 , enjoyed perfectly poured cocktails, chicken quesadillas appetizer, eggplant parmigiana, cheesesteak , panko chicken pita sandwich was very tasty, Pappardelle Pasta ( Homemade Pasta ) was very flavorful with pulled short rib, tomato and parmesan cheese - service was outstanding Jorden did great job, over nice atmosphere. Highly Recommend !!!

The chicken wings had a good crisp, the side salad I asked for was fresh, the cheese steak roll was pillowy soft and was nicely cheesy, and most importantly, the gentleman behind the bar who took our order was a fantastically nice guy The cons. The garlic parm sauce on the wings were a bit lacking and the amount of meat on the cheese steak was only half enough to really fill that long roll. And the most irksome thing was the 2,23 % "technology fee". No offense but WTH is that?????? If it was to use the credit card, it wasn't explained at all. Look, if you like a funky bar with good food and you are in the area, I would say check it out once in your life and form your opinion. But, for me, I just don't know how often

She also is a tech wiz (at least compared to me) and helped me set up a playlist for the party on a Bluetooth system and a video loop of photos of my husband to play on the TVs. She was there the whole night along with a bartender and runner and everything was as smooth as can be. I was totally relaxed knowing that she was taking care of all the details! Finally we had a chance to visit recently, enticed by the Hungarian folk band and gulyás (goulash) being featured that day. The place was absolutely packed and lively, with an enthusiastic crowd and some surprisingly good traditional dancers among the patrons. I was chatting with a local regular who told me it's usually a good crowd on the weekend but not like this. Guess the band and gulyás really brought out the throng! They've got a solid core range of beers - IPAs, lagers, stouts, sours - and special/seasonal flavors too, and even have their own hard seltzer line for those non-beer drinkers. I'm not an IPA person but lots of people seem to like their hazy IPAs (which my husband ordered). I stuck with my usual wheat beer and had a Belgian white...with blueberry! Delicious. The laid back and friendly vibe, down-to-earth crowd, and bright interiors with café-like seating areas all make Tribesmen a relaxing place to keep company. The calendar is filled with events such as trivia night, karaoke night, live music, and quaint social activities like crochet & sip and bonsai bar. All's to say I'd hang out here a lot more if I didn't have parenting responsibilities, though this does seem like a pretty family friendly place. They don't serve food but do welcome you to bring outside food or to order in (always a plus), though sometimes they have food trucks on the weekends. Egészségedre!
