This review is for the White Box located in the Oasis Grand Sens. First off, they have a rope across the entrance, which leads you to expect you are in for a special treat. The hostess checked my wristband to see if I would be permitted to have lunch here. Then she checked my name and room number. Then she undid the rope and gestured me to enter. Those already eating here had either pasta or pizza. I don't really "do" pasta, so I opted for the ribeye steak and carmelized onion pizza. I also had their only beer, Dos XX. When the pizza arrived, the crust had barely been in the oven and was just a shade past white. There were 5 tiny pieces of grey meat and an equal number of tiny raw white onion slivers. As I attempted to pick up a slice of this uninviting looking mess, grease ran off the cheese and down my arm as the glob of cheese also began to slide away. It was completely tasteless and the texture and presentation, just nasty. The waiter brought me another beer without asking. Maybe he was hoping I would be drunk and not be able to notice what was on the plate in front of me? Completely nasty!

I had a beautiful dinner here with my parents outdoors. The view of the white sand and bright blue water was really beautiful. It would have been really romantic had I not been on that dinner date with my parents. Our table was set up with candles and I could see that some recently newlyweds had a table set up before us (closer to the beach) with heart-shaped flowers arranged. Food presentation is lovely. This place is more upscale and is somewhere you might want to dress up at. It's located within a hotel. Portion sizes are smaller. They have a great selection of seafood. Customer service was great and our food came out in a timely manner. They have a nice selection of wine (that is showcased inside).

I'm only giving this place 2 STARS because their lunch was actually pretty good and service was great. Try at your risk. You may get dressed up all nice.. wait for a spot to get in and maybe not even get a chance to eat!! BUT other than their lunch, I would give this place 1 STAR due to not even being able to get in for dinner despite being a guest at their "all inclusive" Grand Sens Oasis resort. What we were told was that they can only seat about 20 people. FIRST OF ALL... they don't take any reservations in advance. WHYYYYYY????!!!! They don't take any calls ahead of time or anything. Not even for the guests staying right at their very own resorts. SUCKS when they don't even cater to their own guests. Dinner starts at 6:30pm so if they reach the 20, they start taking down names and their next seating isn't until like 8ish or so. Honestly, they probably only serve around 20-40 people per night. So when you see all the nicely dressed people just hanging out around the pool area at the resort, these are the people waiting to see if they have a chance to even get in for dinner. So they seriously could be waiting for nothing. The hostess didn't seem like she cared... she must give the bad news to people all the time so maybe that's why. But they should take reservations because people have to get dressed up to even dine here. A couple we met actually got in and they said their food was not worth it and actually was pretty horrible. So I'm glad we didn't waste our time. Despite not getting in for dinner... the 2 stars are truly for their lunch service. Pizza was great and the shrimp mushroom pasta was good. Our server was also very quick to take our order and get our drinks out. It's just unfortunate that dinner was not such a great experience. We will never come here ever again because we will NEVER stay at the Grand Sens Oasis resorts or any of their resorts ever again!

Great wine selection--For Purchase, NOT included in "All Inclusive Resort."

Very good UNUSUAL food. Interesting concept: Elegant shared small plates, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Gastropub concept. In this "all inclusive resort", very little wine by-the-glass available. However, for purchase, they have an extensive list of a wide variety of wines. Service is excellent! Of all the restaurants on campus that we were able to visit, this was second only to Careyes to us, a couple of middle aged serious foodies! Only complaint was that the sea bass was greatly overlooked. We had a nice evening and lovely dinner. Our servers were Wilbert, Ricardo, & Adrian; they took excellent care of us!

Cheese platter - absolutely delicious tip notch cheese with marmalade

People come from all the other hotels to eat here. It's extremely good. It's smaller tapas style and so what you order you get one per person at the table. I was fascinated at the cheese platter, it easily compares to anything you get at home in Vancouver for $20! The burgers were awesome and so was the ceviche. The blackened prawns were amazing. Don't let the blackened look make it seem like they taste burnt- the charcoal is simply an after taste and wonderful This restaurant only seats 20 and has three sittings. We were able to walk right in. If you have to wait they will let you sit on the patio and you can order drinks while you wait. It's formal so men are required to wear closed shoes and dress shorts or slacks. Really good for all inclusive type resort

This was a great and unique experience. 12 Shared Tapas. One would think could not fill you up, but it did. Great service and fine dining. I'd definately do it again. Must make reservations.

Ok wow.. Here I am at my resort and there is a new restaurant here calling itself a Gastrobar. Being in a resort I was a little wary but I was wrong. They serve food here something like tapas where they bring a menu item at a time for sharing. It was really incredible. From the best oysters my wife ever had, to great sashimi it was perfect all around. One of the courses was fish and chips.. And that was probably the best battered fish I ever had. Truly worth checking out if you stay at the Grand oasis hotel

Sells itself as a wine bar, but it's the exact same wine list as all other restaurants at the Oasis Grand Palm. Service is spectacular! The only reason I am giving it 3 starts is the lack of truthfulness to the wine tasting. Food was decent, they are small tapas. Which was correctly advertised! Food wasn't that warm

Great place and great food! The services are excellent! Restaurant is very cute! Will be back for sure and recommend to everyone visiting Pyramid Oasis!! But they only take reservations from 2-5 pm. Be there before 2pm and only small groups 2-4 max. Good luck and it worth it!

The service was amazing and the food was so good! I absolutely loved everything and the view from the restaurant was so beautiful. This is by far the best restaurant at Cancun! Creative, delicious, and definitely worth 5 stars!

Tried this place last night. Food is a semi set menu get to chose items from 9 course meal. Food was mediocre pizza tasted like salami on cracker. Only thing good was the avocado surprise. Lots of servers but service was just ok. Lots of menu items seem to repeat themselves. Fried egg on French fries. Burger and French fries. Salami on French fries salami on pizza . Get the drift. Desserts were different. If like tapas style food may like this place but wasn't impressed.

Grand Oasis is very nice

We stopped by on a Tuesday evening around 7:30 and it was hopping. The restaurant is two levels and has indoor and outdoor seating both. We were seated outside next to the street. We started off the meal with complimentary bread, which was amazing as we were starving from a long bike ride earlier. The menu has a good selection of tapas as well as a couple different types of paella. For the paella, the minimum size they can make is for two people. We tried: Tortilla de patatas (110 pesos) - we enjoyed this Chistorra i.e. grilled Spanish sausage (95 pesos) - too salty, had to eat it with the croquetas to make it more palatable Croquetas de setas (95 pesos) - was okay but had a weird / slightly sweet aftertaste I didn't like Paella de montana (230 pesos pp) - chicken paella was good. I wish there was slightly less chicken and more rice I'd say the paella was the best part of the meal. The tapas were a bit hit or miss. But overall it's a cute restaurant with decent food, and we enjoyed our experience here.

The kitchen is open so you can peer in to see your food cooking. We ordered the seafood paella which takes about 40 mins to cook at about 250 pp and you can only order this with a minimum of 2 people. So I would suggest to order first and the other stuff can be ordered later. Seafood paella was subpar because the rice was burnt, not charred. but considering we were in Mexico - it was a nice taste. We loved the pulpo appetizer though - it was soft and had some great flavors. The people are genuine and they don't attempt to scam you. So we were happy about that!

This Spanish tapas haven, lovingly crafted by a husband-and-wife team and named after their infant son, transforms dining into something approaching art. The covered garden terrace, adorned with tropical plants and cooled by gentle fans, creates an oasis of tranquility where time moves at a more civilized pace. The Ensalada Casa Tomas--layers of ripe tomatoes, creamy avocado, and tangy feta with what I suspect is the finest balsamic this side of the Caribbean--exemplifies their approach of elevating simple ingredients through careful attention. The red snapper arrived cooked with the kind of respect that suggests the chef actually cares about the fish's dignity, flaky and moist with a parsley sauce that enhanced rather than masked its natural character. Service operates on the principle that hospitality is an art form, with staff who understand the delicate balance of attentiveness without intrusion. Even the water comes subtly infused with citrus--a detail that speaks to their commitment to excellence in all things. In an age when dining often feels like theater, Casa Tomas offers something increasingly rare: authentic experience delivered with quiet confidence, reminding you why you travel in the first place.

We stumbled upon Casa Tomas on Yelp and decided to walk over. It was only about a 6-8 minutes walk from the cruise ship dock, but just tucked away to feel like an escape. One of our favorites was the Carne Fiesta and we also had several types of various fried cheeses (haha) that were delicious! We would not hesitate to eat here again and will recommend to everyone we know. Prices on the menu are in pesos but they accept US Dollars (cash only). We had an amazing, delicious and authentic Mexican meal here for about $50 US Dollars. Score!

Once we stepped onto the deck overlooking the lagoon, the whole experience elevated even further. The scenery was stunning, soft lights reflecting off the water, a gentle breeze, and live music drifting through the air like the perfect soundtrack to an already unforgettable night. Then came the food, each dish was its own little masterpiece. The bread service alone set the tone: warm, golden rolls with just the right touch off salt. The wedge salad followed. It was crisp, cold, and generously dressed, with smoky bacon and bright tomatoes adding all the right contrasts. The dry-aged steak was the star of the table, cooked perfectly with that deep, rich flavor only dry-aging can create. The roasted peppers and silky sauce on the side made every bite feel intentional. The octopus was another standout, tender, beautifully charred, and plated with a vibrant puree that balanced the dish with a touch of sweetness. One of the best plates we had. The table got more entrees since there were 8 of us but didn't get pictures. Sea brass was another favorite. Even the lobster soup arrived with flair: a velvety bowl paired with a seafood-topped toast that brought texture and richness together in one elegant bite. The beef tartare with fries was classic and fresh, refined without losing its fun. Dessert turned into a full performance. The liquid-nitrogen ice cream came with swirling clouds of cold vapor, dramatic and delicious. The birthday cake arrived crowned with berries and a sparkling candle that lit up the whole table. And just when we thought the night couldn't get any more whimsical, out came the towering blue cotton candy, playful, over-the-top, and impossible not to smile at. Harry's doesn't just serve dinner. It creates an experience, one where the service, the scenery, the atmosphere, and the food all work together to make you feel celebrated. We came to Harry's a couple years back when we visited Cancun and I am celiac and I had a lovely dinner with my partner. On this visit, we were seated at a beautiful table and we ordered drinks. Our waiter, a bald headed young man 30s, refused to check with the kitchen to see if they could accommodate me. I am celiac not vegan. I was told there was nothing I could eat except steak and he proceeded to show us the entire steak selection. Truthfully I was feeling slightly unwell from not eating the entire day. I felt like fish, he said I can give you dry fish no sauce on top. He suggested maybe we just do appetizers. We had a 8 pm dinner reservation, what the hell would I want to order appetizers and call it day? This waiter was chit chatting with his maitre'd and other wait staff and I felt terribly uncomfortable that i was told I couldn't eat anything from the men, we we all know was ridiculous and not true. We finished our drinks and asked for the check. I made a reservation for Porfirios next door bc I could see they had some gluten free options. Harry's used to be accommodating but no longer. We will not come to Harry's again for food. Not only this, the waiter was trying to once again embarrass us by advising us that we could walk to Porfirios, next door to the restaurant from the back patio. We got up and began walking towards the patio and suddenly I realized he was totally making a fool of us, why would we go from the back if we have to check in with the hostess stand in the front of the restaurant? We walked straight out of Harry's from front door. Never again. So disrespectful and such a rude experience. Not only this, Harry's canceled/ removed our open table reservation (even though we fulfilled it and paid for our drinks and still tipped generously), so I cannot even leave a review and send a private message to the restaurant. Pathetic customer service.
