Excellent little restaurant. We had the catch of the day which was excellent (blackened grouper). The house salad was fresh and tasty. The cheese grits that came with the fish we perfect (I'm not a southerner but my friend who is described them that way, I can only say they were delicious). The deserts looked delicious but we did not order any. One of our group got the burger which looked tasted amazing. They also served warm bread with a great dipping sauce. This is a great little place to get lunch. Dinner is a little pricey compared to other places, but well worth it!! The food is fresh and all the meals I have tried to date have been amazing! The salad was fresh, nicely presented and not over dressed. the tricolor tortellini while a tad salty for my taste was perfectly cooked and in a very nice cream sauce with cheese, spinach, mushrooms, and lots more. Great bread and olive oil for dipping too. My wife enjoyed the spaghetti and meat balls, and she's Sicilian! (The sauce really was not usual from a jar fare) For what this cost (under $15) it was a true bargain! We ate here only once so far. The atmosphere is casual and cozy. The service is fantastic and friendly. The food is fantastic. We had fried green tomatoes, pork chop, and one of the daily specials. We had two fresh slices of cake for dessert, and all of it was phenomenal. The owner does not serve alcohol in the restaurant, which is a cozy home converted for dining service. He does allow customers to bring in bottles if wine, which suits me just fine. Plus, they have a yummy selection of sparkling beverages like orange soda. Of course, sometimes you want a bottle of wine to order, but I respect the owner's stance and think the lack of a corkage fee more than makes up for any inconvenience. read more

The bacon on my blt was partially cooked (yuck) imagine biting into a look good sandwich and get a big lump of pig fat. The loaded baked potato soup needed some salt and pepper. My favorite part we ordered bread...I'm guessing it was one whole loaf (a lot of bread) in the bad was rancid mayo, 2 land o lakes butter, 4 sets of silverware. Dined here on a Saturday night, the night before Father's Day. I thought it was a quaint restaurant and had friendly servers. I had the special (grouper with grits) along with the Caesar salad and some of the seafood chowder. My husband had the pork, along with the same soup and salad. We didn't think our food was great, pretty unremarkable. I unfortunately, got food poisoning. This was pretty bad for me; but also for my husband who had to take care of me during the night as I had not only vomiting but also severe low blood sugar due to the food poisoning. We spent his Father's Day cleaning our sheets, mattress and flooring. :( I contacted the restaurant via email to discuss the matter before leaving a negative review and never heard back from them. read more

Not a bad place for a meal but it's not serving up anything that makes me want to run back and visit regularly. I've been four times now and have had something different each time. On my latest visit, I noticed that the menu had changed quite a bit, but a couple of the things I'd had previously were still there. I ventured out and got the special for this particular evening, red snapper that was blackened and served atop a mixture of spinach, rice, corn and pineapple. I don't care for blackened food and, when I mentioned this, the waiter eagerly offered to sautee my fish instead, which was a plus. I took the moist, delicious carrot cake home with me and have no complaints there. I only wish they were able to serve wine, but you are able to bring your own and they will provide you with both an opener and glasses. read more
