Went to the Baldwin park location with a few friends for the first time. I've been to the Sanford one and loved it. This location was recommended by a few friends so maybe it was a bad night but I was not a fan. Our bartender seemed extremely disinterested. He took an ridiculously long time to make 3 drinks. Then when he was done he was giving our drinks to the group next to us. We go to pay and he walks away only taking my one friends card. Then starts making more drinks with her card in his hand. That was another wait to get our cards back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor was really pretty and the crowd had good vibes[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] but two other women came up to us to complain about the bartender as well. It seems they were too busy taking shots to care about their patrons. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our drinks sucked but it was a pretty place to sit and chat with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Like I said, Ive heard good things about this bar so hopefully it was just an off night but I won't be rushing back to try again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I visited this cafe for the first time today and fell in love with the adorable ambiance as soon as I walked in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were greeted by very friendly staff. The menu was great - I settled on the flatbread which I highly recommend especially if you love honey drizzle on pizza crust. My friend ordered the salad which was gorgeous and fresh. Just ok. your typical pricey place for drinks. It was ok and service was whatever. I went while they weren't busy and sat at the bar. Bartender barely spoke to me he was busy on his laptop. Yes when my cup was empty he asked what's next. Yet I felt there wasn't any service worth mentioning. The drinks were ok if you're in the area and looking for something different I recommend. If you just want a beer or a standard cocktail I say skip it . Go to the other places in the area. read more

Heyyyyyy you guyssssss! I'm a huge fan of The Wild Flower in Sanford so I was super excited to try the Baldwin Park location. Andres the mixologist extraordinaire was on point with his Marigold! The ambiance is very similar to the other location, they have a dart board here which was neat. It was a Wednesday so the crowd was slim to none one thing I will say, it was hot by my side of the bar. We didn't stay and eat but they did have different options than the other location and I will be back if in the area of Baldwin again! Check it out, total vibe! read more

We had a kid's free evening and found this gastropub we thought we would stop in for a drink. Didn't expect something like this to pop up in Baldwin Park. We walked in and able to get a seat at the bar and I started with Mia's Soul. It was fun to watch the bartenders make the different drinks. My drink was well balanced and refreshing flavor. I also tried the Daily Vitamin and enjoyed the green tea infused vodka flavor in the drink. They did have a DJ there and had a great mix of music which we enjoyed listening to, but it was a little loud and people were up dancing. We did not mind, but just something to keep in mind if you were looking for a quieter place to stop by. Could just be that the music starts after a certain time, but the DJ was there the entire time we were there. It was a lot of fun and we enjoyed the drinks. I love The Wildflower! I have visited this establishment multiple times since July of 2021, and it is a gem! The cocktails are superb as is the ambiance. Every time I've visited they have a DJ or live music, and they play a variety of musical genres. I love the decor, and they have different seating options. The back of the bar is set up almost like someone's back porch or like a den. I have tried several of their cocktails, and I have yet to try something I didn't like. read more

This place used to be great a few years back. The main guy who works there along with the others are stuck up and just rude for no reason. They almost make you feel unwelcome as soon as you walk in and if they have a group of friends they're drinking while you're there good luck ever getting a drink or their attention. Owner needs to send in a secret shopper and see how things really go down. Also asked for espresso martini they made it with tequila didn't even ask my preference. read more

I needed a specialty cocktail made with expertise and I found just the place. The Wildflower is such a vibe, mind you it's Wednesday night. It's pretty slow in here right now but the music is great, upbeat and makes you wanna groove. The decor in here is on 100%, it's adorable, boutique like with bright colors and different furniture that all seemingly works together. This would be a perfect spot for a date night, solo date or group date. Currently on a solo date and it's exactly what I was looking for. A little hidden bar in the beautiful district of Baldwin Park. Came here on a Friday night for some drinks with my boyfriend. We ordered drinks at the bar and found seats immediately. It's a self service bar with great food. We ordered the Saturn and Little Rock Star, and paired it with some carne empanadas. The drinks were super delicious that we ordered each drink twice. The establishment is clean and the restrooms are sanitary. The friendliness from the staff and bartenders were exceptional. The only knick I would slightly complain about is that it is sooooo hard to get the attention of the staff when we would want something else. Maybe the music is too loud, the room is too dark, or maybe we we're just patient and know how hectic it gets during this time of night. We plan to come back during the day time, after we have late lunch next door. read more

A very cute spot to have a couple drinks!! I loved the decor and overall style of the place. It's very trendy and tropical. The Mai Tai was so good omg. The only downside was the food. I didn't like the seasoning used on the patatas bravas. It was a lot too. The wings were just meh. However, the drinks made up for the alright food. This place is tucked in downtown Baldwin park next to Colibri Mexican Restaurant and it's a really awesome bar and lounge. They serve some amazing craft cocktails and have really unique decor throughout the place. I definitely would stop by next time you are in Baldwin park. This place got a much welcomed make over. I love the vibe. When it was The Nest it felt like my favorite grandmas living room. Lovely and warm but I felt like I was sitting at the kids table. Now as the wildflower it's like visiting your cool aunty's digs. The cocktails are beautifully crafted and the food is always delicious and comes out quickly. The Staff and management did a great job social distancing and keeping everyone safe. I bring all my friends and associates here. Now, these aren't just any ordinary cocktails, these are craft cocktails. Made with the finest ingredients by the finest ingredients. Nothing crunchy here, just smooth like perfection. CRAFT COCKTAIL- THE ANGRY BIRD- what a delicious cocktail, made with real elderberry flowers, and vodka. Deadly, because you can have 6 go down in two seconds. We live here in Baldwin Park and brought some out of towns friends to have a drink after dinner. Sat at the bar and the one bartender greeted us very politely with a menu. Asked if they had other options and the other bartender said they don't serve sewer water and what we asked for is trash. He called himself the " bar manager " and was completely RUDE! Would love to know this guys credentials. Will not ever walk into this establishment again. The other gentleman behind the bar was very polite and I'm sorry he has to work with such a negative person . read more

There's just enough alcohol to have a good time; all the additional ingredients are at a respectful blend, ensuring the beverage delivers what you're looking for. My favorite cocktail the last time I was there was the Sunday scaries, I'll tell you exactly why. Lime and tequila is always an exquisite combination. Came in on a Thursday evening and enjoyed some nice cocktails. I didn't like any of the option on their summer menu so I decided to tell the bartender my favorite ingredients. But he was very impatient. Let me add that there was not a single person in the entire place. NO ONE. Let me also add that almost our entire group is almost 40. So we're obv not underage. With the way he approached us and was completely impatient, we were a little turned off and left. Which lost them money on our entire group. He followed us out the door as we left. It was a weird experience especially when there was literally no one else in there. The music was good but I doubt and of us will to back based on that experience alone.

I got my favorite cocktail, The Winter Park. I love that it comes with a little cookie. I tried their seasonal Sweet Spud cocktail with sweet potato, cheese cream, miso, and salt. I hated it, but I think that's just my taste and not their preparation. Otherwise, be sure to check out their seasonal menu! This is a great place for food, cocktails, and relaxation.

The ambiance and feel of the bar is very "sultry" and "intimate." The mood lighting, dark paneling/interiors paired with the bar itself being lit to be the center of attention, lends itself to the secretiveness and LURE that a modernized speakeasy would provide. I truly enjoy stepping foot into this little hidden, but NOT so hidden, gem (which can be accessed from the interior to Talay). Service can be slow at times - especially when they are busy. However, the staff is usually always gracious, helpful, and willing to serve. The few great mixologists I've met there have also been very willing to break down how they make their drinks and really give us a glimpse into their world. So, I'm appreciative of that. That is not something that you can always expect at bars. As for the drinks (and food I'll glaze over), I am usually not left disappointed. I appreciate that seasonally they play with their drink menu and introduce new cocktails. I also love a handful of their signature drinks on the menu. This may be the only bar I've had a drink with Aperol in it that I actually ENJOYED (and not tolerated). The pricing can get high depending on what you order, but for the area and the going rate of a night out, they hold their own. Definitely don't pop into Noir if you are looking for an AFFORDABLE cocktail experience because the tab will creep up on you. The food is OKAY. They share a kitchen with Talay and offer some items not on the Talay menu - which is nice. However, I rarely eat when I visit, so the few times I have, it's been okay. Nothing to truly brag home about. I am happy, though, that they did start offering food because in the very beginning (when they first opened), that was not an option. Anyways, Noir Bar is GREAT (to me)! I will keep coming here and recommending it to others. It's also great for a date night or night out with your friends. It's in a decent location - but please take heed of parking in this area, as it can be challenging to find FREE street parking. However, there is parking available all around and in various garages nearby.

I had two drinks: the "Siam Silk" is a tiki-ish riff on a clarified milk punch using cognac, a rum blend, and Thai iced tea with fruit; the other drink I had was a low-ABV riff on a Sherry Cobbler. They were both great, and I appreciate that they have a creative low/no-alcohol portion of the menu. This was definitely a pleasant surprise to find up north of Orlando, although perhaps I shouldn't have been surprised at all--Maitland has another one of my favorite bars in the metro area (Permanent Vacation). They've added more ramen to the menu since my last review, and the Tan Tan ramen has quickly become one of my favorites. The spicy sesame peanut broth is rich, flavorful, and has just the right amount of heat. If I'm not in the mood for ramen, I always go with the shiso butter yaki onigiri with a side of pork chashu. They torch the butter right at your table, which is such a fun touch, and it smells incredible. The mentaiko fries are still a must order every single visit, and for dessert you can't skip the matcha tiramisu or the taro ice cream with the hot green tea. The ramen, grilled meats, addicting appetizers, fun drinks, awesome atmosphere, and consistently amazing staff are exactly why I keep coming back. Easily one of my favorite spots in Orlando.

The booths are by far the best seats in the house, but they fill up fast and don't turn over often because the atmosphere is so good that people end up staying awhile talking and enjoying their drinks. They also have outdoor seating, which is a great option when the weather cooperates and it's definitely quieter than inside. My must-orders are the Japanese fried chicken, the Blue crab fried rice, and the Soy garlic butter mushrooms. Every single one is worth getting. As for drinks, the Saturn is my go-to. It's gin-based, perfectly balanced, and super refreshing. They do check IDs at the door, so I'm not sure if that's because it becomes 21+ after a certain time or if it's just their standard policy. Overall, this is one of my favorite spots for date night or meeting up with friends. Great cocktails, consistently good food, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile.

I recently went to Orlando for a conference, and while we spent the majority of our time in a large…read moreresort and convention center, the leadership of the organization hosting the conference hosted a special dinner in one of the reservable ballrooms at the Cuba Libre Restaurant. I believe it may have been the Havana Ballroom. There was plenty of food, drinks, and mingling. The Cuba Libre Restaurant staff were great, and the venue was well laid out and worked for this event very well. When we arrived around 6:30 PM on a Saturday evening for our event, we first mingled around the tables and near the cash bar. There were a bunch of large tables that we began to fill out. As our program began and announces made and awards given out, appetizers were passed out. We were offered Guacamole Cubano, Mama Amelia's Empanadas, and Shrimp Cocktail which we passed around to the entire table. Personally, I skipped the guacamole and shrimp dishes but absolutely loved the empanadas. Yum! Then, an individual Cuban House Salad was passed out with red wine vinaigrette. This was also quite tasty. Next came the entrees including a choice of Salmon Paradiso, Ropa Vieja, Citrus Chicken, or Paella Vegetariana. I was trying to decide between the Ropa Vieja (beef brisket) and the Citrus Chicken. While the Citrus Chicken sounded perfect, I asked the serving staff their advice, and they recommended the Ropa Vieja for a true taste of Cuba. I was happy that I did even though it may have been more heavy and with a kick than I was expecting. I'm still glad I ordered it though. It was wonderfully prepared! And then, everyone received Cuban Flan for dessert. The Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar celebrates Cuban heritage and explores Cuban flavors, music, art, and traditions. The mission of the restaurant is to provide an "escape" to Havana through exciting food and beverages and entertainment experiences to celebrate the Cuban people and their culture. Orlando hosts one of several of this restaurant around the United States. This restaurant is in the midst of the Pointe Orlando. Happy Hour is at the bar and bar tables on weekdays from 5 PM to 6 PM and weekends from 4 PM to 6 PM. They have a special Chef's Tasting menu during dinner. They also host weekend nightlife and shows on Fridays with a live band from 7:30 PM to 12:15 AM and a DJ and dancing from 10 PM to 2 AM on both Fridays and Saturdays. They finished our meal by bringing out a special plate for my mom with a trio of strawberry sorbet, a chocolate cookie, and banana foster. It was beautifully presented, and that banana foster was fantastic! We will definitely consider ordering a full-sized one on our next visit.
