Fresh hot meals. Service was attentive but not hovering Sat outside and had the recommendations from the server. Cheese burger with curly fries and chicken strips with fries. Onion rings came out HOT and delicious!! Sat on the balcony/deck and enjoyed a beer and the lovely breeze and sunset. Great little dive joint. Would be better with some homemade options. Near as we could tell and were told by the waitress everything comes from food service and frozen. Except the burger comes from an area butcherer. read more

Went for mother's day (one day early) with a group of 4 and we arrived around 4:30-5pm. Inside and outside was packed. we waited by a table for 15ish minutes that needed cleaned (we had to ask and she said she would let the server know we are here) until we sat. we were seated for about 20 minutes and no one came to get our drink order.... one of us had to go up to the bar and ask for a server. I understand we came at a busy time and they looked under staffed but they were very efficient to get everyone else's orders around us. We immediately ordered drinks and food since we were waiting. We had to wave down the server multiple times to get her to come to our table. 3 of us got the special "double" smash burger and 1 got the special philly cheesesteak sandwich. 2/3 burgers had 4 patties on it (not complaining but surprised!) They were very good. But, the philly did not have a lot of meat on it... it was just okay. Fries could have been a bit more crispy. The ambiance inside is very nice! I would try again but not on a busy night. read more

My husband and I make it tripped up from Waterloo, IN all the time to willows The waitresses have been. kind, fast and immediate. We sit outside if the weather permitting by the water is pleasant. We have a service dogs, but usually we keep them in the truck with the air running. Sometimes we sit under the table with them. They're well behaved. But mindful of others eating dinner. The food is outstanding. Depends on what you like. I like their breaded pickles and their port chips. They're big buffalo hamburger is outstanding We can't get it all in one serving down. You have to take it home. My husband loves her chicken strips. The place is always clean. The flowers in the balcony on the patio or pegola are wonderful. The places delightful, easy parking easy to get to. trip dairy. I promise you'll love it. It's a five star restaurant to me. Not overpriced. read more

Very simple restaurant on the lake, perfect for a midday snack or dinner after a long day! I kept it simple with a BLT and it was great - get it on the texas toast. Awesome location with great ambience! After that it's a steep drop off. We were informed by our waitress that our food would take a while we said that that's ok and ordered anyway. Unbeknownst to us a while would be 2 hours. Only after we decided to just pay for our drinks and apps they brought out our food which ended up being cold. Once we voiced our frustrations about waiting 2 hours for cold food the waitress was immediately upset and started aggressively ripping plates off the table while rolling eyes and making rude comments. Visiting from out of state and drove by this place and had to check it out. The building is on a waterfront and looks so cool. Friendly, efficient service even when the place was packed. Dollar domestics on Thursday! 1/2 lb burger was delicious. Feta dip also very good. In general, it's a fried food joint. Other than burgers, a salad and maybe one or two other things, it's all fried. No dishes or silverware. All plastic and paper. Not sure how that is more economical for the owners. But maybe it is. It's just not inviting and really not good for the landfills. Wait staff was more focused on the regulars at the bar than us newbies. That was annoying. And she seemed a little annoyed with us, like we were putting her out. But hey, dollar domestics!! Came here after ice fishing. Word to the wise, if you order the chili it comes in a small Styrofoam bowl that would feed a child for $6. I was shocked, but still ate it after being out on the ice. I saw there was half a size for $4.00 so I asked the waitress for some to go, wondering how the portion could get smaller. Boy was I surprised. The only reason I didn't give a 1 was due to the chili tasting good, but that might've been due to the fishing and cold. read more

I stopped in with my brother as he has a place on the lake and today was dock day. I work and he buys beers and dinner. This place is one of his usual haunts and I can see why he likes the place. Not hard to see a Cheers type atmosphere here where everyone knows your name. Walking in you can tell the place has been here forever, but it is clean and inviting. It really reminds me of our basement bar and family room when I was growing up. Making a mental note, this patio is probably happening during the summer when all the Lakers head out to play. They offer basic bar food, burgers and everything fried. Burger wasn't bad, was great. The fries were fresh and their grease is clean. The beers were cold and the service was fast and friendly. I will most definitely be back this summer and recommend this place to anyone in Coldwater or on the chain of Lakes. read more

Weekday dinner hour. First observation was the music was loud - very loud! And annoying heavy metal rock. The waitress was pleasant but said they have a juke box and it plays whatever anyone wants to pay for. Had an unsweet tea - no artificial sweetener, only sugar. Ordered poppers as an appetizer. My wife burned her mouth they were so hot - no side plate or table service provided. And only baskets and plastic utensils were provided after asking. Fish fillets were good. Nothing remarkable. Wife had a burger and said it was good. So...very nice, attentive wait staff - that's the plus. Food was good. No sweetener for the tea. And... Loud music - ruined the entire experience. Only complaint was my boyfriend and I ordered burgers and waited a long time, we didn't complain but were told sorry for the wait there was a new cook. Terrible terrible service, from someone who served for many years the attitude and lack of hospitality or just friendliness of the staff is just ridiculous. Food sucks, don't go if you want to eat. They are one of two restaurants on the lake and a girl can't even get in with a skirt type bathing suit cover up. If I could give this place less than one star I would. read more

We were here in the winter and the place was just OK. The menu is very basic bar food meaning burgers, fried stuff, and appetizers. The cheeseburger was good, but nothing to rave about. The chicken strips were too small and served in a very tiny basket which meant that you didn't get very many fries. The service was friendly and the late dinner crowd was a good mix of people. Even though it is a bar, the bright lights coupled with basic standard tables and chairs made the overall atmosphere more like a diner. The waitress remained engaged throughout our meal even though we were only drinking sodas. The big "BAR" sign on the outside, the location near a canal, and the outside patio beacons us to visit during warmer months because the vibe might be completely different. The bill was a tad bit expensive for what we got and the food was just OK, which would be exactly what I would say about most chains, so if that is what you are looking for this place will certainly meet your expectations. read more

The wings are good and my kids love the grilled cheese and sweet potato fries. Fresh salads too. Taps are always fresh and cold and great prices. And, boat docks to for the lake folks. Willie burger with pepperhack was delicious. Margarita and Long Island were both strong, and pretty good. The Long Island needed a bit more lemon to make the mister happy. The pork roast sandwich was absolutely amazing. I would eat it naked, and the mister said that even naked, it was better than the burger.
