He was a tall skinny small bearded very flamboyant man that took our order at the regester. He had an attude problem. When he took our order he kept rushing us asking us if we was done and anything else in a rude attitude. Before we left we couldn't see the garbage can and asked him if we leave the stuff on our table or do we clean it up and throw it away somewhere? Being our first time here we did not know how it worked. With an attude the same rude guy response to that was "NO, you clean up your own mess. If you leave it on the table we will charge you". We stood at the bar for a couple of minutes but the lady behind the bar didn't appear to have any interest in serving us, she didn't even look at up so we headed to the back patio. The patio was spacious with great views of a large picnic area as well as the Yaak River. I didn't catch our server's name but he approached us right away and was very friendly and had a great personality. We were never left waiting for service. We only stopped in for a cocktail and snack. I ordered a dirty martini and the others ordered beer. My martini came out very cold, just the way I asked. We ordered Tater Tots for the table and they were hot and crispy. Yaak River Tavern was a nice spot to stop if you are passing through or a drive up from Libby for the day.

We had the need for both so it worked out perfect. The service was excellent and the restaurant was really clean. It had a very easy going feel to it. The kids got to walk around outside by the river too. My family got back on the road completely content with a perfect spot to reset before hitting the road again. We are so glad we stopped in.
