The Wine Line is a great way to taste some of the best wineries in Paso Robles. Liz our driver was phenomenal. She was knowledgeable, friendly and made sure my husband and I were taken care of by escorting us into each winery and picking us up. We visited Paris Valley Road Estate Winery, Rails Nap ( the most beautiful view) Penman Springs Vineyard, and Bianchi. All of the wineries were unique and offered great tasting options. This wine tour was a great way to enjoy our wine experience and we had a phenomenal lunch that paired so well with our wine. I highly recommend using the Wine Line, especially if this is your first visit to Paso Robles. You get a great value for the money you spend and you don't have to do all of the work. I look forward to my next tour with them on the East Side of Paso Robles.

We had an amazing day with Liz. Our group of 4 chose the all inclusive package - everything went so smooth, we just relaxed and enjoyed the 4 pre-selected wineries! Lunch was top notch and the 10:30 - 4:30 duration was just the right amount of time (although we did not want the day to end). Look no further then The Wine Line, if you want to leave the hard part to someone else, so you can sip back and relax!!

We had such a fun girls' weekend and touring with The Wine Line was the highlight! Jason was a pleasure to work before and during our tour. The van was well equipped with snacks and water. The tour guides are friendly and very accommodating. We toured the West Side with Grey Wolf/Barton Family Wines and Broken Earth Winery being our favorites. If you make it to Broken Earth, you must order a Margherita Pizza...delicious! Can't wait to use The Wine Line, again!

We had a wonderful time with the wine line! I handled my booking through Jason. We had several emails back-and-forth explaining the process. I have to say he was very patient as there are some details that took me a bit to understand. There are so many wineries in Paso Robles that selecting four to visit- Can be challenging when there are so many great choices. I let jason choose my for wineries that were sensible within the timeframe that we had. I wanted my four wineries to be all inclusive so there were no surprise charges. Our driver, Liz, was amazing. She was juggling another group of people and was very conscientious about our time and making sure we had the best possible experience. I would definitely use the wine line again!

Who can complain about being picked up at our Airbnb doorstep and taken around to four fantastic Paso wineries. This is my second time with the Wine Line. We had a fantastic time. Visited Zin Alley, Red soles (so sad they're shutting down), Croad and Midnight. Fantastic staff and wines at all locations. Hopping on the wine line was such an incredible and seamless experience. Elizabeth our driver was great and kept us moving along throughout the 4 different wineries. It was nice to have a driver and not have to worry about finding an Uber to take us to the next stop. The wineries we went to were also great! Elizabeth not only picked us up and drove us around but she also offered to drive two of us to SLO Sunday morning to pick up our rental car since our car broke down Thursday. We appreciate everything Elizabeth did, she went above and beyond and we're extremely happy with her and so appreciative for helping us out!! Thanks Elizabeth!!! read more

Great tour! I would highly recommend The Wine Line! Went on this tour for my friends birthday. I was a bit skeptical since I was not sure how everything would be setup, and how groups would be kept separate for Covid reasons. I have no complaints! They did a great job at keeping the van clean, and we were never on the van with anyone who wasn't in our group. Plexiglass is installed per row, and van is sanitized after each drop off. Bruce our driver was very nice and gave us a small run down on each winery we visited. We got a package were lunch was included and happy we did the lunch was delicious. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a fun and great Paso experience. read more

We had a great time on The Wine Line! From the reservation process to the pick up/drop off, everything went incredibly smoothly. Communication was great and our driver, Liz was friendly and knowledgeable. Jason went above and beyond to get us booked on the day we preferred, and Liz was super accommodating when one person in our party had to join the group late. We left the winery choices up to the Wine Line as we were looking to try some places we'd never been. We were not disappointed! Our overall experience on the Wine Line was great. The company and driver were very communicative, accommodating, and timely. Bruce refrigerated our lunches and stored our wine from stop to stop. He was positive and professional. The only critique the 4 of us have was his driving. He went a little too fast for our comfort level. The Wine Line was wonderful!! We booked a private tour through Jason for the six of us. We came from out of town and wanted to enjoy the wineries without having to drive. Our driver was Liz and she was amazing!! First off, she showed up early to pick us up. She had the van all ready for us with water and snacks. We went to four different wineries and she got us there promptly and safely. She opened the door for us, walked us up to the host and got us checked in at each winery. She came back to give us a 15 minute warning. This gave us time to wrap up our tastings and buy any wine if we wanted. She wasn't pushy at all. She grabbed any wine we purchased and stowed it in the van safely. We also purchased the lunch through them and it was delicious!! They get the meals from a local shop. We had sandwiches and potato salad. The potato salad was so good that we bought some one our way out of town to take home! The sandwiches were also a very good size. Also, Jason was super helpful when we were booking the tour. We hadn't been to the area and he answered all of our questions. He even recommended a couple of wineries. We took one of the suggestions and it was awesome. Overall, Liz was such a great chauffeur and super sweet. We really appreciated her making this experience better than we imagined. My husband and I had such an excellent experience with Wine Line. We took a trip up the Central Coast and booked a private wine tour with them. Brittany and Jason were very communicative and accessible, and they arranged a great itinerary for us. On day of, Liz was our driver and she was easy to reach, incredibly sweet, and very knowledgeable. This was our one big outing while in Templeton for the weekend and we loved it! Dylan, the driver, was great he was hustling to keep everyone on time but never made you feel rushed. Planning the whole thing was really easy, Britany called us ahead of time to confirm Details and make sure we were getting the perfect itinerary. Wish the tasting fees had been included for the price we paid, and the lunch was very not great. The tour was great! We did the east tour, picked out the wineries we wanted to see, and the The Wine Line was able to make it happen. Our guide Spencer was a lot of fun and very informative. He made the day even more enjoyable! We opted for the all inclusive package. It was more expensive, but made it incredibly easy. The lunch was really good and they were able to accommodate my fiancé's dietary restrictions (vegan). It was an easy transition from winery to winery with Spencer handling all the business for us too. Would definitely do it again and highly recommend it! read more

I've been relying on the Wine Line to enjoy Paso Robles's gorgeous wineries for many years! They've gone to great lengths to ensure everyone's safety during Covid and my mom and I were truly impressed with what we saw on board--plastic partitions separating each row of seats, a hand sanitizer unit mounted on board, and requiring masks for all riders. Our driver, Sky, was so sweet and accommodating; we couldn't have had a better experience. We highly recommend the Wine Line! read more

Specialties

Freedom of choice and flexibility are the guiding principles behind The Wine Line. Our standard door-to door, Semi-Private, modified "hop-on, hop-off" wine tasting tour service empowers you to personalize their itinerary either through your own research, or from our recommendations, and taste at your own pace, thus enhancing their overall wine tasting experience. Fully Private and personalize tours are also available. Once you've picked your tour type and fare, and 4 wineries you'd like to request for your day, you will send them (4 priority+2 backups) at your earliest convenience. We will create your itinerary, make the appointments for your party (provided they can be accommodated) and take you accordingly throughout the day.. The à la carte fare offers choices from over 90 wineries in the region from which you can request for your day but does not include lunch (can be added for $15pp) or tasting fees (can also be added for specific wineries with our Al-Inclusive Package). Large parties (7+) have limited options for winery choices.

History

Established in 2009.

After being disappointed in the transportation options for wine tasting in Paso Robles, the owner was perplexed as to why no one offered an affordable and flexible touring service with the convenience of a city bus line. The only services he could find were either private cars/limos or guided group tours. The limos were very expensive and the tours were restrictive and not what he was looking for. He had been wine tasting quite a bit and didn't really want a tour guide telling him how/what to taste, why it should taste good, etc. After much fruitless searching, convinced there could be a better way, he determined to develop it. He envisioned a "Hop On, Hop Off" style shuttle service allowing people to choose from several of the hundreds of excellent wineries in the Paso area, on their own schedule, in the company of people with whom they choose to enjoy the experience. Following extensive research &favorable interest from wineries, the route was developed and The Wine Line was born!

Meet the Business Owner: Jason W.

I was born & raised in Long Beach, CA. After completing my transfer curriculum at Cypress College, I was admitted to UC Berkeley as an English Literature major, which was a dream come true. However, before I could transfer a major opportunity unfolded for me in the music industry. I became tour manager, then co-manager, for an up & coming, and ultimately, multi-platinum artist. I spent the next 12 years in the music business running an independent record label, starting & operating a music merchandising company and band & tour management. I also opened & ran a small music/art/clothing store in Downtown Long Beach. After burning out in the music industry (I love music, I hate the industry), I was looking for a major change. Thus, The Wine Line was born! I started the research in '08, offered a free service from late 9/08 to late 11/08 to get our feet wet, get comment cards and iron out any bugs. Then, dark until our official launch 2/20/09 at which time we hit the ground running

Nothing but professionalism and an incredible day...that sums up Eric our driver in a word and our experience that day aboard the wine line... We (myself & 3 others) had been planning the trip for quite some time. Jason, (who I'm assuming is the owner) was so helpful in assisting with the booking and explaining how our day would unfold. Eric called us to let us know our pickup time. We were stayig on the coast so we would be picked up first among the groups. Eric was on time with a clean cut appearance. Nice guy, very knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. He personally walked us into to each and every winery & made sure we had a spot at each bar. That day we ended up making it to six wineries which we all felt was more than enough. The end of the day could not have been smoother as far as our return to the coast. He had all our wine separated and organized for us so we did not have to stress about it. I can assure you we will be using the Wine Line in the sometime near future. We had a great tour with Amy. She was extremely knowledgeable about the central coast, local wines, AVAs and she hooked us up with wineries that she called "hidden gems". We never would have found the amazing wine and great deals that she introduced us too. We had a barrel tasting, a cellar tour, and a real cave tour. There were a lot of other bonuses to touring with people who know about wine. We paid no extra fees for the barrel or cave tours. IMHO, it's worth it to hire people who know what they're doing. Uber drivers have no clue and can even get lost. I was very disappointed with Paso Robles' uber drivers. They didn't know much about local area restaurants or sites like Hearst Castle. Luckily, the wine tour guide had already informed us pretty well on the downtown restaurants. Otherwise we would have been lost. (One uber car we took smelled like garlic, onions and spices. I was about to ask where the burritos were hiding. LOL. ) read more

Our experience with the Wine Line started with the owner who made it extremely simple to plan our day. We were then picked up right on time by our driver Eric, who was enthusiastic and seemed very knowledgeable... Our day flew by without a hitch as we made it to six wineries of Eric's suggestion... All were very fun and beautiful in their own unique ways... Eric and the Wine Line did it again... I didn't think that an encore performance could live up to the original, boy was I wrong... they say that a sequel can never Live up to the original, not in this case. Can you improve upon perfection? I would say you could make a case for the possibility on this trip. Eric took us to 5 phenomenal wineries, exclusively matching our tastes as well as the ambience to match the tone and mood of the day as it progressed. Eric made us feel like we were the only group in the whole world even though he had three others to tend to. From their reactions they felt the same way. Our first visit to Paso Robles was a great adventure (October 16, Weds)- partly because of our experience with the WINE LINE. JASON was very easy to work with as he provided awesome lunch options and winery recommendations. KYLE picked us up at the Paso Robles Inn and drove us around the east loop of Paso - and kept us on schedule without rushing us. Not sure how they also arranged the sunny day with perfect weather, but we have evidence - since Kyle took our photo (with amazing backgrounds) at each stop! We wanted to "do as the Paso Robleans do." That's all the information we needed to give Jason and Brittany of The Wine Line and we ended up visiting 4 wineries, tasting their wines, hearing the winery owners' stories, eating a yummy lunch and even doing some axe throwing and chicken/rooster canoodling (they were totally friendly!). Perhaps the most unique part of the experience is being picked up in a van (with water and snacks included!) by Liz, who not only drove, but kept us on schedule AND was willing to share some of her story with us as well, which led us to part as friends. We booked a semi private tour for the west side with a request for a winery on the east side. They were able to accommodate our request. Enjoyed the 3 wineries they chose for us on the west side. We had Bruce for most of the day & Elizabeth at the end. Both were great. They took care of us & were always on time picking us up & delivering us to each winery. We never felt rushed and his timing was impeccable - we averaged 45 minutes per winery.
