I came here last week for dinner for the first time. I've been eyeing the Wine Loft for awhile, I pass it every time I drive through South End and shop around Atherton so it was moving up on my list. I arrived around 730pm on a Tuesday so it was not too crowded loud at the time. I found parking right on the street without any difficulty. I tried a glass of Riesling and then Prosecco and had a small meat & cheese board and the meatballs and burrata small plate. The cheeseboard had a decent variety but could have used a dipping sauce or two to accompany. The meatballs was a nice generous portion and came with some extra slices of bread. I enjoyed my meal overall but service was a little slow wrapping up. The staff was pleasant and friendly though. Vibes are relaxed and cozy in here overall, decent value for money. Just something intangible missing that could take it to the next level. I do love a good glass of wine so I would come back to try some other sips and small plates. @azfitfoodfun

Now this place was a vibe. They opened at 3 abc I got there at 3 so it was perfect. They always have specials. The staff was great. I didn't get the ladies name but she was wonderful to talk to about the various wines. Ethan was also a great server. This is great for a small group, also a date or just a spot to catch up with friends. The food was also good! Can't wait to go back!

More of a lounge than a loft. Dark lightening, velvet, art deco vibes. Good selection of wines. $10 glasses on Tuesday's. Tapas are 1/2 off before 6pm. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They have a small selection of beers and a few NA's to choose from. Live music stage also. Stop by for a drink before dinner or a fun place to hold a birthday party.

The Wine Loft is the perfect place to catch up with a friend, vibe on a date or read a book while enjoying a drink (guilty). The cocktails are the standard expectation for the area, but they're wonderfully made and after a few visits, I've yet to be disappointed. I also appreciate that they offer half off wine bottles on Sundays. And if you follow them on IG then you'll be able to keep up with their live music offerings. This place honors reservations, and while the servers and owners are great and I've always been lucky with grabbing a seat at the bar, save yourself the wait by making a reservation if you're planning to check it out on the weekends. The loveliness of this place is tied to their food menu offering a variety selections, including hummus, quesadilla or a pepperoni flatbread - because it all pairs well with wine. There's parking available behind the building, but it can fill up quickly during the weekend buzz so be prepared to park on the side street, if needed. But go check them out, I promise you'll enjoy the vibe.

Love, love, love!! The lobster bisque was flavorful, and the wine was delicious!! Service was flawless and it's a cute vibe!! $10 glasses of wine on Tuesday's why not!! Check out this spot if you're in the mood for wine or cocktails.

If you are a wine lover like me, head over to The Wine Loft, located in the swanky Southend neighborhood of Charlotte! It's an excellent option for enjoying great wines! They have a selection of white, red and rose wines and the ambiance is perfect - cozy and laid back, with a touch of elegance. The staff was also helpful and attentive! They also have live music on the weekends, which adds to the great vibe! It's a great place to enjoy a variety of wines!

This was not a normal gathering. One of the people reserved this for a wedding shower. They food was very tasty and they made a lot for the number of people who attended. The staff were very polite and served everyone with respect. The restraunt hold about 50 comfortably. I can see reserving this place for other functions.

This place is such a vibe and the food is amazing! I went on a weekday at night and it was not busy at all and I enjoyed it! My friend and I ordered wine and the wine was great! The employees were all sweet and so attentive! We ordered the meatballs, charcuterie board, lobster mac & cheese and Espinaca con Queso and every dish was delicious!!!! I will definitely be coming back when I am in town!

This place is a great date night option as it is a very intimate setting with dim lighting. We were actually able to hold a conversation and not have to battle with talking over the music. The service was excellent, but there also weren't too many people here as it was a Thursday. We originally came to try the wine, but the specialty cocktail of the day really caught my attention. While I don't quite remember the name of it I do remember it had Rye Whiskey, Simple Syrup with red wine floating on top. I was sold at floating wine! We opted for the charcuterie board which is the chef's pick. My date ordered a Malbec which he really enjoyed. They do offer wine flights as well. There is a patio out front and on the way out I noticed they sold cigars. I think I may have to double back for a part two.

It's still one of my favorite spots to grab some wine and just chill. I had some family come to town, so of course we swung by for drinks and to share a charcuterie board. Of course I recommend this place.

I can only speak to the wine selection and ambiance here, as I didn't try the food. I visited on Valentine's Day and there was a live band that was enjoyable! The table was cozy but was perfect for date night before dinner. The service was great here and I was even handed a rose upon entry and had my seat pulled out for me. It's great that we both could order single glasses and didn't have to decide on a bottle - I prefer reds and he prefers whites! I would love to go back again!

I had the pleasure of checking this spot out on a Wednesday evening around 6:00pm. We parked in the lot at the rear of the loft. There is an entrance that will take you to the back of the establishment from the parking lot. This appears to be the entrance that most patrons utilized. However, there is also an entrance at the front off of South Blvd. When we arrived there were no other patrons, however, most tables had reservation signs on them. Prior to our departure the place had a decent crowd. It's a Small space, hence the use of "loft" in the name. They have a decent amount of bar seats, and about 8-9 tables. I would describe the seating as modern bistro. They also have outdoor seating and there is a stage at the front of the loft. Who else misses live entertainment?? The staff was very personable and actually seem to love their jobs. Additionally the owner was very engaging and you can tell he likes to build a rapport with patrons. The bartender Katie is extremely passionate about her craft. She even has a tattoo about making cocktails, now that's how you show you are all in! This should also be an indication to you that she means business! Her cocktails should be nominated for awards. She made us a drink she called To Bee or not to Bee. I don't recall everything in the cocktail but I do recall egg white and bee pollen. It was stellar and like no other cocktail I have ever experienced. We tried several menu items to include a flatbread, Shrimp dish, Asian meatballs, and an artisan cheese and salami board. My favorite small plate was the sweet heat tempura shrimp. However, everything I tried was tasty. Now dessert-- oh my goshhhh! The face I made when I took the first bite. This thing was unreal. It is called the flourless chocolate caketail. This consists of the flourless cake, kaluha, Bailey's Irish Creme, and whipped cream! Yes, this took me to my happy place. If you can't tell, I really enjoyed this spot. If you have Not checked it out, I highly recommend that you do. Side note: they have a humidor with a decent selection of cigars! They are also opening up a sister establishment called Vintage Whiskey & Cigar Bar. Keep your eyes and ears opening for the grand opening info if that's your thing!

Great bourbon tasting lastnight. And got a change to learn about the Vintage...new cigar place opening up at the beginning of next month

Had an amazing time last night at the Elijah Craig bourbon tasting lastnight. My gentleman and I learned alot and got exposure to some of Heaven Hill's spirits that I never even knew I liked. And yes they will be added to my collection in the near future. During the 4 pour tasting we got a chance to learn about the VINTAGE the new cigar bar that will be opened up at the beginning of next month and I am super excited about that. On Wednesday they have wine down Wednesdays ans Fridays they have live music. The Wine loft has a very sexy vibe with low modern seating .... it reminds me of a 1920s speakeasy with a modern vibe. I think I have found my new date/chill spot.

The heated espresso ended up being our favorite. I ordered the avocado toast and absolutely loved the combination of avocado, pickled onions, salmon, and feta. My husband asked for a bartender's choice--essentially their take on a Penicillin--and it was perfect. My sister went with the chicken wrap and had zero complaints. We will be back at some point.

This place blue my mind…read more I was visiting my best friend while in town for a conference on amusement ride standards. We had a reservation for Blue Door for Saturday night, and it was amazing. Now while she was vaguely aware of their "spirited kingdom" menu, I had NO CLUE. It was the best surprise! They have such a cool menu with a full theme park map containing 4 lands with 4 cocktails each. The cocktails all match the type of ride they are, it's honestly such a cool idea, and it was so well done. I loved the art. I will say, I was skeptical that all of their drinks would actually work and worried that they'd be too caught up in the theme to make results but . . . Oh my goodness I was so impressed by the drinks here. I think a lot of bars these days can get so caught up in trying to be unique that their drinks become nearly undrinkable. This place definitely doesn't suffer there. They brought us an aperitif when we came in, but unfortunately I have a blueberry allergy so we skipped that. We had 4 drinks between the 2 of us and they were all awesome. I ordered the star breaker and the green dragon (what can I say, I love gin and a good coaster), and they were both balanced and tasty. My friend got the diablo and the neon shift, and they were both fantastic as well! The neon shift was served with a black light too which was super cute. The one drink I have to call out specifically is the green dragon. There was something about this drink that was so unique, I have genuinely never had anything like it but I would order it a thousand times over. It's so good. It keeps me up at night. It haunts my every bar order. I will be writing home about it. What else can I say about this place - the service was great, the atmosphere was fun, and the DJ was amazing. I thought "wow this guy really likes sax covers" only to look over and see him PLAYING HIS SAXOPHONE LIVE?? Iconic. This place was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing about it. The spirited kingdom menu will only be around for 6 months according to the waitress, so definitely catch it while it's there! If I'd heard about it sooner, I would've maybe descended upon them with 200+ theme park engineers in town for the conference (maybe it's a good thing I didn't know they were there until after it was over), but instead I will just say DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MAKE YOUR RESERVATION NOW

The menu this time is theme park theme... again, a fun concept but not well executed. Pretty overwhelming, especially with the bartenders explaining the menu to us twice with the same spiel there is too much to look at it makes it difficult to pay attention to the drinks. I really did not love my drink (starbreaker?) you could only taste the lychee The bartenders not a vibe, it was not that comfortable to sit at the bar. They now serve food, hotdogs... which do NOT match the vibe at all, so that was interesting that their only food (other than the free popcorn) is not hot dogs..

Monday night, half price wine by the glass or bottle, all of them on the list! Love when they do that without limitations. So we went with a glass of champagne! Because why not when it's half price! Service was excellent , and the food just awesome . So fresh and delicious. The menu here is so nice and varied with so many options. We started with the prosciutto carpaccio, paper thin prosciutto with olive oil, and fresh Parmesan and fresh greens, white balsamic and hazelnut. This was amazing, just yummy. The roasted mushrooms, come on a sliced yogurt, with verde hummus, and sumac onions. Again so flavorful and so many different things going on in this dish. Highly recommend this. The short rib bolognese. A fabulous small plate, but plenty for two . This sauce was so good with the fresh grilled bread they serve. The pasta was perfectly cooked, spinach flavored. Truffle ricotta, and crispy prosciutto on top, nice pieces of short rib too. This was an excellent dish. We were truly full so had to pass on dessert but we did get a after dinner espresso martini, called the Salud! A Spanish table toast, peppermint infused tequila, espresso, licor 43, coffee liquor and creme de cacao. Served frozen, this tasted like an Andes mint. Perfect after dinner drink. My friends and I got the Crab Brik, Wagyu Burger, Shakshuka, and Avocado Toast. The Crab Brik came in little triangular wontons that were fried to perfection. I think real crab meat was used which is always nice. There was some aioli on the plate, but certainly not enough to dip with meal in. The Avocado Toast was recommended by our server and it was a top tier choice! It had chili dukka on it so everything from the eggs, sourdough bread, and avocados tasted very seasoned, despite the dish sounding a bit plain. They do not skimp out on the avocado here. My friend said the Wagyu Burger tasted good and I tried the Shakshuka (for the first time in my life) which tasted very tomato-y but still yummy with the bread! I think this is a cute place, especially for brunch. I would rate this place 4.5/5 stars if I could. I want to come back and try their dinner menu which has more food options.
