    Iced miso butterscotch latte
    Kayla P.

Stable Hand does it again! We got the iced miso butterscotch latte and the seasonal iced stroopwaffle latte and I loved both! They always have such unique yet delicious flavors. When I went, it was a Saturday morning. Although it seemed busy, we still got our drinks within minutes. It is a great place to get some work done, have a coffee date inside or outside, or read a book. I'm excited to try their food next time I go.

Wonderful coffee spot. I enjoyed a latte with a unique syrup, that I now forget the name of of course. Ha! Barista was very friendly and helpful in describing the flavors. While the pastry case was being restocked when I was there, I enjoyed a breakfast sandwich that now makes all others taste boring. The sausage and peppers were so flavorful. Highly recommend!

After moving to Charlotte, I was didappointed at the amount of coffee shops with lackluster lattes. Stable Hand was the turning point for me! I am even luckier that it's close enough to walk to from the rail line. The vibes in here are cozy and they have wine and board games too, which makes me wish they were open late. Staff is always friendly and the place is clean. The food portions are quite small for their prices, but I just skip food and get my daily coffee here.

I stopped by Stable Hand in South End for a pre-work breakfast with a friend, and it's such a charming spot! The minimalist decor gives the space an open, airy vibe, and with only a couple of people there when I arrived around 7:45 AM, it felt calm and relaxing. The sweet barista let me know I could place my coffee order right away, but the kitchen didn't open until 8:00 AM. I went with the Mexican Mocha (dark chocolate, cinnamon, serrano peppers, espresso, milk, and a toasted marshmallow) and the Bacon Brekky Sando (honey-glazed bacon, roasted peppers & onions, egg, cheese on brioche). The Verdict: Bacon Brekky Sando - Tasty but on the smaller side. I couldn't really detect the peppers or onions, and I think a sauce like sriracha would've elevated it even more. Mexican Mocha - I was expecting more heat from the serrano peppers, but it leaned more toward a rich, dark hot cocoa flavor. It wasn't very sweet, even with the toasted marshmallow on top. If you prefer a sweeter coffee, I'd suggest adding extra sugar. The barista also mentioned the White Miso Butterscotch Latte as a sweeter option, and I'll definitely try that next time! Stable Hand is a perfect spot for a laid-back morning coffee run--looking forward to exploring more of their menu!

great spot for working! coffees are huge and not super expensive. both drinks were fabulous. i got the white miso butterscotch latte. the flavors were not super overpowering! the brown sugar rosemary was the perfect flavor combo. great spot to work or catch up with friends. there's outlets everywhere and small/large tables. there's also a nice outdoor area for seating in the summer too!

Stable Hand was a cool, upscale coffee shop! I just got a black coffee, which is admittedly hard to screw up, but it was still pretty good, the staff was friendly, and the ambiance was very unique, even for the standards of coffee shops. I don't if it's the kind of coffee shop that I would go to to study, but I'd love to meet some friends there sometime. Would recommend!

    Cortado at Stable Hand, Charlotte

A delightful coffee shop, decorated in a rather spartan manner. On a Friday morning, quite peaceful as I enjoyed my second coffee of the day. I love coffee shops that have a cortado on the menu. It tells me that they're not one of those button pushing baristas like at the Green Siren people. No, this is real coffee and real art. Served in the proper short glass, this coffee was excellent. Sitting with my laptop and able to pound out a few emails and maybe even a Yelp review, this was a great little space for working. A very enjoyable morning indeed. This spot has a modern vibe. I liked that each table had its own plug, which is super convenient if you're working remotely. One downside was that the tables were pretty close together, not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind. I ordered the white miso butterscotch drink, which was good. The staff were friendly and helpful with their suggestions. Nice spot to work and grab a cup of coffee.

Solid go-to coffee shop. Always receive great service, coffee is high quality and the food is delicious. You'll find people meeting for coffee, working remote or just enjoying the coffee shop. Definitely worth stopping in!

This was a very nice and relaxed coffee and wine shop! A perfect place to work or grab a drink with friends. It is small on the inside but the service and quality was great! I ordered the bacon sandwich and the brown sugar rosemary latte. Everything was pretty tasty and I would definitely recommend trying one of their seasonal drinks.

    Erin S.

Good quality coffee (my cold brew was solid) and they have a nice-looking selection of wines. Some people were posted up working both in and outside so it seems like a solid wfh cafe. Service was friendly and efficient. Would be 5 stars if they had some gluten free snackies!

Really awesome space with great coffee. Have been a customer since they opened in 2019 and is my favorite cold brew in Charlotte. Everyone is always so nice and comforting. 10/10 recommend!

It's just not worth it to me. Is a good yes but not worth it and no Tuesday night during specials. I got the three tacos for $10 and they were not good. The tortillas were dry and hard. The meat was dry. Some other friends needed some sauce for theirs. Since there was eight of us, we ordered an extra round of chips and salsa (which I love the homemade chips and all the sauces), and we were charged for it, plus extra sauce for the tacos and we were charged for it. I think everyone that got the tacos were dissatisfied with them. Apparently there's house margaritas, but it's not on the menu, but they are on special on Wednesdays...? I want to love this place and they have a great patio but when you're automatically highlighting the 22% box on the checkout screen with one server for the night and these prices, it's not gonna happen. So probably won't be back.

Recently, my husband and I ordered the olive dish to start and I was shocked it came out cold. The quality of this dish could greatly be improved by warming them up. The wine selections and cocktails were top notch. We enjoyed both a cocktail and a glass of wine. Both were equally amazing. I love that the vibe is log cabin-esk, and I think the wait staff are very accommodating to everyone enjoying their downtime here. The seating is very strategically placed so they have lots of options but you don't feel crowded. I've been impressed with the cleanliness of the dining area and bathrooms while eating here. Parking isn't that hard either. If you are looking for a nice easy afternoon where you're allowed to decompress with an amazing glass or bottle of tour favorite wine (or even a new one you have ever tried before), I cannot speak highly enough of Foxcroft. Side note, while you can bring kids as I have brought mine in the past visits, I don't recommend it. The food for picky kids can be limiting and it's not a great vibe if the kiddos get bored and antsy and rush you through your downtime journey. I hope everyone enjoys as much as I did!

We were greeted warmly and escorted to a table right away. I chose the bubbly wine flight and the chicken Milanese. My husband chose the rigatoni and a German pilsner. We shared our meals because they were both so flavorful but at the end were still a little hungry and wished there was bread service available to order along with the meals or sides that we could add to our meals for a little extra $. We did notice that on the menu for the burger, you could add a side of fries for $3. Otherwise the appetizer of fries goes for $13. We ended up ordering a slice of the chocolate cake. It's a slightly dense version with ganache and was very good. Overall we were so happy with our food and drink choices and look forward to coming back. The only little disappointment was when I made the reservation, it asked if there was a celebration and I checked the box that it was a birthday celebration. There was never a "happy birthday " wished to us or any mention at all. In no way, do I want or need somebody coming out and singing happy birthday to me but it's always nice when a restaurant will actually wish a person a happy birthday or maybe give a small dessert after the meal. I specifically look for restaurants that do this when choosing where to eat for a special occasion. So will I come here again? Absolutely, it will go into the regular rotation. Will I choose Foxcroft for our birthdays or anniversary? I would probably choose somewhere else where they acknowledge it.
