We had been to Mendocino on two previous occasions and in mid 2018 were there for a month. Mendocino has many of the features of our Minnesota home, with better weather. On a whim we stopped in to Deirdre Lamb's office on Ukiah Street. Deidre listened to our requirements very carefully and came up with several possibilities. She was extremely friendly and helpful, driving us around to likely prospects and showing us relevant local facilities. All of the properties she showed us were aligned with our needs as we had expressed them to her. A little to our surprise we found a property we wanted to buy. Deidre handled our negotiations well, even going so far as to write a letter to the previous owners telling them how our interests and desire to care for the property aligned with theirs. Once a price was settled she was instrumental in setting us up with an excellent mortgage broker who took us through the loan process. She continued to follow up with us regularly after we returned to Minnesota and also once we had completed our closing and moved in. I would strongly recommend her services for anyone looking to buy a home in Mendocino, Fort Bragg, or the surrounding areas.

The prices are great, and I found some good pottery and they had so many cute teapots. Staff is friendly, I didn't get a chance to look through the clothes but the pricing sheet was very reasonable. The only thing is I wish their carts were a little more practical. They have the smaller really low to the ground carts that don't have a spot for a baby in the top. It was a little difficult to shop with my kiddos, but if you remember to put your stroller in the car (unlike me) it shouldn't be an issue.

Durning the pour they got two trucks stuck in my yard...the ground was pretty soft from the rains. However these guys went over and above to help us fix the concrete and yard. They were very nice and understanding, they brought back enough concrete to finish the project, gave us some helpful ideas and we are very happy with the out come. We have purchased all our gravel, dirt, and concrete from these guys in the past years that we lived here. We have never had any issues, I would recommend these guys all day long! Similar tone, but with a rough and dominating texture we would never have selected in a million years. Clashes with the refined print, compromising the entire piece. Perhaps the one we chose was unavailable and they substituted something else. Perhaps this seemed to them like a good solution rather than losing the sale entirely, as we live out of town and couldn't easily come in to make another selection, but we're crushed. We would much rather have received the print alone, with a refund for the frame that couldn't be provided.

Emailed them a couple days before Thanksgiving and they got back to me right away! (Who does that?) Said I could come in the next day between 11 and 3. Didn't know what to expect. Came down and quickly felt right at home. It's a special shop. The owner, Cory was who emailed me. Most instrument folks are rude, grumpy, and complain about everything. Cory is not like that. He's very welcoming and super fun to hang out with. He's only been in business for 2 years but has lived in the area for 14. It's well-curated with a lot of interesting instruments (guitars, ukes, basses, mandolins, percussion, and more). He has a killer selection of high quality accessories - cables, straps, mics. strings, picks, tuners, drumsticks, etc. He also has vinyl, record players, amps, and a COOL ASSORTMENT OF HATS. Everything you need! Cory checked out the guitar, and said it didn't need much at all. Everything was ok but I wanted a little tune it up. He said it would be done by the next day. But, he finished the job in less than two hours while we were at the Point Cabrillo lighthouse. I realized we needed a strap button too. He did that in 2 minutes while we shot the breeze. We also needed a case, so I bought two. Highly recommend you pop down for the good vibes, fun gear, and great service. His prices are extremely good too! I was shocked. He also does some songwriting sessions there which sound really cool. I'll pop in next time I'm in town to say hi.

When I came home from college for the…read moresummer I wanted to continue to practice yoga with an instructor like I had through the gym at my university, and had a fantastic experience going to Joy's yin, vinyasa, and meditative yoga classes. She is super kind and knowledgeable, and I can see a huge positive difference between my strength and flexibility at the beginning of the summer and the end as a result of taking her classes. I also learned more about how to do certain poses correctly. I brought friends and family to her classes throughout the summer and they really enjoyed them as well. I was a beginner to hot yoga and took a few classes with Serena which I would also really recommend!
