I absolutely love this place. It's great for gifts or just to go in & browse around. I guarantee you won't leave empty handed or w/o a smile on your face. Very unique gifts, cards, pretty much everything you need for your home. Some of my favs are the candles, dish/tea towels with the hilarious sayings on them & the cards. There is so much more but too much to write down! The prices are fair compared to other boutique shops. At times on their discount shelf you can find some nice things as well. Yeap 4 stars! Very cool place, located on Macdill ave, next door to Brunchery. One of the staff working here is so sweet, always says hi and helps me find what I need. It's great for finding quirky and funny gifts for your friends, mama, papa, grandparents, sis and/or brother. As much as I love shopping and browsing for gifts, this place isn't very cheap. It's quite expensive. For instance, I was there yesterday looking for baby gifts and a simple picture frame was over $30, Eeeks! I'll be back though, they get new stuff in quite frequent. Who knows, maybe I'll find a treasure on my next visit and in my price range (fingers crossed). read more

This is a great local business for ordering custom stationary and getting gifts ranging from thoughtful to quirky. They have so much! They have Filofax planners, notebooks, and refills. They have pens to go along with that. They have stationary, cards, invitations, bags, custom collegiate gear, candles, lotions, kids toys, and the list goes on. The only negative is that since they have so much, it all seems very cluttered. There isn't a bare space on any counter or shelf to put a drink or anything else down while you browse. read more

Crane papers, cards, and a zillion Palma Ceia personalized cutesy items guaranteed to make your mother in law happy when you buy them for her birthday. Okay, I'll admit this is not a place I would normally drop by to check out, but I joined my wife, son and his fiancé after breakfast next store, since wedding plans and details are in the works. The place is loaded with gifts ideas, holiday decorations and really nice items to brighten up any household, party or event. There is so much to love about this place, but my entire opinion changed today based on one interaction. After spending 15 minutes browsing the store and picking up items to purchase, my friend was about to retrieve her daughter when a sales clerk rushed past the child and barked "don't play with the toys if you're not going to buy them!" This child was quietly evaluating which toys she liked and clearly the sales clerk didn't even consider the fact that Christmas is approaching. How arrogant and rude for a sales person to yell at a child (rather than address the parent) who was actually SELECTING A TOY FOR PURCHASE. At that point, the armful of items that was going to be purchased was abandoned on the counter. I am sure I can find some other place to pay too much for stationery and costume jewelry. read more

We chose this wonderful local business to get my daughter's wedding invitations. Bethany was a pleasure to work with. She is totally competent and oh so patient with brides and mothers of brides who are indecisive...she really wanted our invitations to be as perfect as we did while not letting costs get out of control, as so easily happens with weddings. I will return to The Write Stuff again, as I am all for supporting small, local businesses who treat customers like they are important. Highly recommend! read more

Sad to give a local place a 1 star...however this is specific to their horrible return policy. Buyer beware...store credit only. In my case, it was husband (not the savvy shopper, and a last minute shopper to boot), who came here, in search of a last minute gift for me- for a 'Roma' brand frame for my first Mother's Day. He spent way too much money ($121.55,YIKES!) on one frame, but it was important to him to have a gift for me on the day. Imagine my surprise when 6 days later... I discovered they would issue store credit only. ( OUCH for a stay at home Mom). I was very surprised by their strict policy in this day and age :(. For this family (whereas we typically always choose local)..... in this case - it will ALWAYS be elsewhere. read more

We went to The Write Stuff in Tampa for,our wedding invitations. Nicole was awesome in helping us look through all the options and select exactly what we wanted. Then unexpectedly our venue suddenly closed down (out of business) less than 2 months before our wedding date! Fortunately because our wedding Is small, we were able to find somewhere else to accommodate us. But we had to,have the invitations redone and sent out in a hurry! When I called and explained to Nicole what happened, she was so sweet and understanding. She negotiated a discount with the printer (who was also awesome) & between the two of them offered us a 33% discount on the reorder! In addition she had our reorder shipped overnight (for a small fee) so we could get them out right away. Nicole and Write Stuff were a lifesaver for us! They definitely deserve a shout out! read more

Once again, a bad experience with this store. I do not know how this place has stayed in business with such rude and unprofessional staff. I recently made a clothing purchase. When I got home i tried it on and it did work for me. I went back to return the shirt and was told they would only do store credit. They never told me anything about a return policy when I purchased the shirt. When I said I just wanted a return, the response was "well we so have a fitting room here." Which obviously solved nothing for me. Each time I have been to this store, the staff is rude, unprofessional and not welcoming. read more

I am thrilled with my wedding invites! They are gorgeous and the staff was so helpful with the process. I was pleased with the turn around time too.
