I stopped by h + d after seeing their Instagram story yesterday! They got in some new things (they…read morealways have new things!!) so I loved perusing the new stock! First, the dish towels that look like oranges and lemons from a distance but are REALLY tiny Floridas all put together. So, so cute! (I had to buy 3!) Then, they had this adorable onesie that for our new grandson that had all kinds of cups, including the Stanley Cup, of course! Way to represent our fine city's accomplishments! A peach pliable bowl that suctions to the high chair for our sweet & silly little granddaughter - it says 'say mac 'n cheese' and she has JUST started eating people food and that her mommy's fave, so in the bag it went! Got all of this for $103-ish and felt like it was a great deal! If it makes me happy, then it's a great deal!! The parking lot can sometimes be a challenge, but mostly because of bad drivers that forget there are 6 cars behind them...‍ Go checkout all the fun at h+d, and follow them on instagram- that way you can get there as soon as new shipments come in - otherwise you'll miss out on all the cool stuff!

This cheery little store has everything from cards and wrapping paper to baby clothes, funny dish towels and super local gift items. I suspect that the inventory shifts seasonally. Right now (June 2026), it has a breezy, summer/country club vibe going on-think golf, tennis, spritz drinks and patio parties. It's bright and bubbly with happy headbands and specialty snack items. It's right there on Henderson, near Dale Mabry... in the same strip mall as Fresh Market and First Watch, across the street from Wild Fork. It's a super busy plaza, but there's lots of parking. I can't wait to go back and see what's in stock, next.

The "We Don't Do Sales" Mall…read more Yesterday was Mother Daughter Day and after not seeing my mother for over 30 days I wanted to give her a proper Tampa day. The bay, the walkways, some shopping, and a stop at Columbia Restaurant which honestly was not good. Then we went to International Plaza and Bay Street thinking we would do what we always do. Browse, hunt, and find something great on sale. That is how WE shop. We walked into Altar'd State and asked where the sale section was. We were told they do not do sales there. Not even a small rack in the back. .. thought maybe it's just that store Then we went into Dillard's and asked the same question. The woman looked us up and down like we had three heads and gave us the same answer. Finally I made the realization . . This mall is built for people who pay full price and do not question it. To be fair, it is beautiful. Clean, polished, very well put together. A strong mix of stores and a surprising number of high end brands. Completely different than what I expected and it threw me off my game. But there is no thrill here. No hunt. No digging. No moment where you find that one piece that makes the whole trip worth it. Have fun shopping at full price here. I am not one of those people. I do not pay full retail ever and I am not starting now. And I know plenty of wealthy people who can afford to pay full price and they will not do it either. They know better.

It's been a while since I've been here and they definitely have a wide variety of stores. We did stop by and see the Easter bunny. The staff was super nice. They were doing a little dances and keeping the kids entertained. Also, we did find the coffee shop called E bar near Nordstrom. Which was pretty good actually. For lunch, we did stop at the food court, but I wouldn't eat there again. The food was terrible at wok o holic. There is better food outside the food court.

Tervis tumblers come in all sizes and I have one of each. This brand has been around for years now…read more You can find your favorite teams and characters plus lots of other designs. You may want to personalize your own tumbler. I've had excellent customer service when I call the Customer Service toll free number. They haven't hesitated to replace my defective lids in the past. I recommend you activate your product warranty when you buy a tumbler. I'll be contacting them soon to activate mine. I'm obsessed with making tea and keeping a week supply of tumblers in my refrigerator during warm weather. I just bought two more tumblers. I found one of the traditional tumblers online at NHL Shop. While I was at it I bought one of the new versions. Thank goodness they provide a video on the website because the new tumblers have a lot of features. I don't use a straw so I was glad I could convert it to a chugging bottle! I'm recommending Tervis for cold drinks. I know they can be used for hot drinks but I prefer stainless steel for those. I definitely recommend you visit the nearest store when you are in Florida. Thanks to my Yelp Friend Stacy I found this location! Living and visiting Florida like I do I never miss an opportunity to check out Tervis.

As such, I decided to pop into this location while in the mall. The associate greeted us and offered help if we needed it. We looked around and enjoyed many of the tumblers on offer. I didn't end up leaving with anything, but they did have some good sales on 'out of season' items and retiring items as well. Overall: A It's a solid brand with well made tumblers that stand the test of time. Go 'green' and ditch the plastic. ;)

Did you know that Michael's does parties?…read more My daughter wanted an arts and crafts party. I found Michael's through google. How convenient! A two hour birthday party with 8 kids was only $149 (base). They could order in Dominos pizza if you want to really minimize your effort. They provide plates and cutlery. They can decorate with balloons for an additional cost. How easy a birthday party is that? I ordered a few platters from the Publix across the parking lot and a cake (don't forget to bring a cake cutter and lighter as Michael's does not supply those). The girls had fun painting three projects and then getting to have a mid-afternoon snack and cake from Publix. Their parents were thrilled to be able to drop off their daughters with the hostess (Maria, a saint) and me while they got to run errands in Britton Plaza or return home for a couple hours. And at the end of the party, Maria did most of the cleaning, so all I had to do was gather the leftovers to bring home and load them and my daughter's presents into the car. Easiest. Party. Ever.
