Thinking that nothing could exceed the chowder from our home in the state of Washington, we were speechless. The fish chowder was easily the best we have ever eaten. The bread was a perfect companion to the chowder and the fresh butter could not be surpassed. We parked our car across from a field of cows and walked in. There were no tables available really, but they accommodated us in a little counter space against a window which worked out fine! Were started with some special blood orange Oysters, which were local Flaggy Shore and SO fresh and tasty. We also did the seafood chowder and garlic crab claws. They use a Brown Crab I believe, which is kind of like a stone crab that we have in Florida, but served hot. DELICIOUS!! Main course was a seafood pasta and grilled Hake. Both amazing. I can't say enough great things about Linnane's! I would come back here in a heart beat. This was some of the freshest seafood I've had in a long time. They literally have the oysters coming in right there! Highly recommend.

This was my favorite restaurant because of the AMAZING seafood. The raw oysters were super fresh and it was fun getting to see the manager show us how to shuck oysters (he used to compete in oyster shucking contest and was ranked pretty high!). The steamed mussels and crab claws were also delicious. Ending the meal with cheesecake was great! The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel like you are visiting a friend's home for a nice meal. They never asked how our dinners were, which was too bad because I was given a butter knife to cut my overdone steak. A steak knife might have actually allowed me to cut through it and eat the thing. They wouldn't take it off the bill because apparently the chef could cut it--do you think he used a butter knife?
