We were happy after the first grooming session because they did a nice job. But then the second time, our dog was terrified to go in and when we went to pick her up the groomer complained that she was impossible to groom because she doesn't like the blow dryer and that they will not see her anymore. It's also very uncomfortable that they wont even let you inside the building to see where your dog is being cared for and groomed. We moved from Florida when she was 2 and she never had any issues at the groomer down there so I would not trust these people with your dog. read more

This business should change its name to All Dogs Go To Heaven Here. Our Bernedoodle is just a small 70# plus eight month puppy that is full of life and crazy. Terri and her Crew are absolutely the best. Our Bichon was groomed all over the country but we wish he could have been with us just a few months longer so that he could have experienced this place. This place is amazing! I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and was visiting family in Northwood. Long story short, I ended up having to board my dad's dog and felt totally comfortable leaving him here after seeing what a doggie palace it is! Arguably nicer than many human hotels. Now my dad brings his dog here regularly for grooming. It's been nearly two years and I still think about how awesome the Yellow Dog's Barn is. If I lived in the area I would be jealous of my dog if I sent him to doggie daycare here! read more

We planned to stay in Boston for the night and were looking for a place to board our three small dogs. When I toured The Yellow Dog's Barn, I immediately felt comfortable with the accommodations and staff. My dogs are ridiculously spoiled and pampered, and it's so hard for me to leave them, but I would definitely use YDB again. The staff will provide updates on your dog on request, and they give you a full report when you check out. They took excellent care of our babies and all the stuff we sent with them (beds, blankets, toys, food in tupperware, etc.). I found their rates to be extremely reasonable as well. Yesterday we had our 9 year old long hair mini dachshund groomed for summer with a very short cut. It was her best haircut ever! The Yellow Dogs Barn, both the business as a whole and every employee we have met, have been exceptional. They are always professional and hard working to make our experience so enjoyable each and every time we groom and board. Our little girl is a handful with other dogs but we feel The Yellow Dogs Barn can make her feel comfortable. We love this business! read more

I dropped off my Bernese Mountain Dog for grooming. She is not easy to groom because of her size and her huge fear of grooming. When I say she is not easy, there are groomers that have asked me to take her other places because she won't sit still on the grooming table. The Yellow Dog's Barn did such a great job! I have literally never seen her look so amazing in the 6 years we have had her. Thank you so much to the staff that took such great care of her! Highly recommend this groomer! read more

I would recommend this place as they took very good care of my two pugs. I received a daily report card of my dogs activities thru the day. One of my pugs was having a stomach issue and they communicated and asked before administering a remedy. They treat my dogs as I would. read more

my dog diesel attended his trial day at the yellow dogs barn and he had a good day. I do have a concern as when I pick him up I was greeted at the front desk and informed that he was at first shy and nervous but then seemed to come out of his shell and play well! The next sentence I was informed of was of concern " we don't generally accept pit bulls here so if he shows any signs of bad behavior he can not come back". I didn't really respond as I think I was shocked at the way the words were phrased and not sure why it was said. I would expect that ANY dog that shows signs of "bad behavior" would be excused from daycare .    After going to get diesel she returned saying he did great and was outside playing and didn't want to come in! I made an appt for him to return next Thursday but I have canceled that appt. I am uncomfortable bringing him there if he is already seemingly labeled. I feel as though IF something were to happen he would be automatically convicted. The staff seemed wonderful but I was very disappointed in the discrimination against my 17 week old puppy. I took our King Charles Caviler, Isabelle here after we had a horrible experience with a different grooming place. Knowing that our dog was very scared and had a bad previous experience (elsewhere), Teri did an AMAZING job on Iz and had her in and out before she even realized she was getting groomed! The job she did was BEAUTIFUL and our dog has never looked so pretty! Not only was the grooming first class, Iz didn't want to leave! She really bonded with Teri and I'm convinced she is a dog whisperer of sorts. Today I brought in my parent's American Eskimo, who is a rescue dog which tends to be aggressive at times, and again he was in and out in no time and his haircut was awesome! And he didn't want to leave either! I would absolutely recommend Teri at the Yellow Dog's Barn for anyone needing a groomer who loves the dogs and knows how to treat them in a loving and caring environment. She's incredibly patient and knowledgeable, an A+!! read more

This place is terrific. I brought my 4lb shi-poo that has special needs to Teri. Sophie is typically so scared of strangers she pees herself and pants to almost passing out. Sophie has never looked so beautiful and Teri was great with her. It had been so long since we were able to have her professionally groomed due to her needs (we did it ourselves). I am so thankful to have found a place that she is well cared for, comes out happy and is understood and appreciated for her uniqueness. I love this place. I have used Terri as my groomer for my Maltese and Goldendoodle for a tad less than one year after moving here from Milford. She is the best groomer I have ever used!!! We love this place--it has the independent business attributes we're looking for without the high prices. We've had both our dogs groomed here several times each, by both groomers. Both groomers do a great job giving us just what we ask for, and our dogs seem to like them (even our super-nervous one). We have been clients at the Yellow Dogs Barn in Lee, NH for several years. We have found them to be highly professional, caring and very responsive to the needs of our dogs. The daycare is clean, well organized and special attention is given to all of the dogs. Both Holly and JoAnne are exceptional and have created a wonderful environment for dogs to play and have fun during the day. They treat the dogs like people and take to the time to know each dog and their owner. Our dogs are very happy there and the best testament is that they sleep like logs when they get home.
