They did a complete profile, determined her needs and the expectations and filled every shift starting the next morning. For 9 weeks, we had an excellent caregiver each and every day - on time. Once the schedule was finalized, we were able to have the same 2 care givers 7 days a week. When we needed 24/7 care for a period of time, the same caregivers went to 12 hour shifts to cover the needs. They attended to the needs of my wife, provided good conversation while she was bedridden, kept her well-nourished and reminded her of medication times when needed. Schedule adjustments were handled efficiently. Most importantly, my wife appreciated the care and concern of the team and they helped both her physical and mental recovery. The owner made the first appt. for me with his nurse the following Monday.. She had a week to prepare but she called me at the time of the appointment that Mon. Morning, and cancelled.. She said that she had to cancel and she made me feel that my case was of important any way because I would only be needing respite time... At that time my caregiver was sick and I had to stay home from working.... She made the appointment for the next Monday , now it is two whole weeks that has passed by.. I needed to work that day, but I took time off to make the appt. The nurse then called and cancelled again at the time of the appt... Very disrespectful!!! I am glad that I can be a spokesperson for my son, or these kinds of businesses will act like it is insignificant to help. If you are In a business to serve then serve! Bright Star has the wrong name.. They are not out to serve people, or they would not have cancelled twice at the time the appointment was made... They would have come out and acceded what business I had for them and tried toyp.. This is what Helping Hands did and now I have someone helping me .. Do not use BrightStar is my mantra!!
