Used to ask my friends who did all their gorgeous cuts and colors and they would always say a girl named Briana. One day after someone burned my hair off, I just started asking them Briana from where? Turns out it was the same Brianna from this Salon. So now I had to go and try her out for myself. I was so happy I did. I came at a time where I really needed a legit professional and Briana saved my hair. Gave me instructions on how to get my hair back to normal. Had she not intervened, I'd be bald. Won't let anyone else touch my hair anymore. The salon is really nice and they use good quality products. Love her, You will too!!! read more

I came to Theory for a haircut. My hair was in desperate need of one ! I saw BRIANA who gave me the best hair cut ever. She listened to everything I wanted .. long hair with lots or layers for volume and movement. She gave me just that!!! My haircut has never been better! I can now easily style my hair by blow drying or letting it air dry! I went here over a year ago to get a cut. I saw Jakki who was recommended to me by a friend I trust and always has a good cut. I told the stylist I just wanted a cut and to keep layers and angles in my naturally curly hair. I went in with my hair natural and curly so she could see what it looks like. I also tend to wear my hair curly more often than not to reduce heat damage, etc. The stylist was insistent that the layers and angles made my hair look thin at the bottom. I explained again what I wanted but she went on to cut my hair into a blunt cut and she took off much more than we discussed. When straight it looked nice but I was so worried about what would happen when I washed it and had it curly. Next day I styled my hair curly and it was a nightmare - my hair was puffy and had no style to it. I called the stylist and explained the situation and she gave me a day to come back. Well, I went and when I explained (again) that I wanted long layers and shape she began giving me a cut and I just kept seeing more hair fall to floor as she chopped away. I was still hopeful and just wanted my hair to look healthy and like it had a nice style. After she cut she began to dry my hair with a blow dryer and kept touching my hair with her hands. Now, curly haired people know that for the most part you don't touch curly hair when it's drying - you just don't. I said to her that when I dry my hair curly I usually just blow dry it upside down and I don't touch it because it gets frizzy and she said something along the lines that she knew she was just seeing something. She looked a little off and just told me she was done. She didn't bother to blow out my hair again and let me leave with unstyled, wet hair. I tipped the girl who washed my hair and when I went to tip Jakki she refused to take it (I did give her a nice tip just a few days before) I got to my car as was so upset my hair was pretty much butchered. When I got home and blow dried it straight I had these blunt choppy layers that were at random. When it was curly it was just a mess of curls. Friends and people at work were so shocked by the cut bc they usually always compliment my hair. Thankfully it has since grown out. I just wish the stylist would have either admitted she was not comfortable cutting curly hair or in the very least owning up to the fact that she messed up my hair and certainly... don't let me leave like that. read more

I heard about Theory through a family member and I decided to take a day off from work on a Wednesday as a personal day to myself. I made an appointment and went to the salon to get my hair cut. I should of thought something was wrong from the beginning because I was able to get an appointment so easily on the same day. Well, once I walked into the salon, I was introduced to my stylist, Her name was Lauren. The salon seemed okay, I wasn't so impressed with the decor. I got my hair washed and was put in Lauren's"s chair. From the start of the haircut she did not stop talking and talking a mile a minute. I couldn't get one word in. It was so strange! I felt that she didn't know what she was doing, She was just picking up random pieces of hair and just cutting. I now have a choppy layered haircut that is not blended at all. I have been wearing my hair up ever since. I am so unhappy. I do not recommend her to anyone or this salon and i will never go back! Terrible customer service. read more
