I ordered the items, they arrived but when I put it on my lip - it did not look right I happen to be going to Ridge Hill to the Apple Store so I popped into Sephora met the most lovely woman, Allyssa. Her customer service was terrific. There wasn't a hard push. There was never the hard sell. She did not overdo my make up. She did not overdo the sell. She was kind - she was warm. She was gracious. The Fenty beauty section is amazing!! But some of the items they had in stock online, they actually didn't. Not sure what everyone's talking about when they say the customer service is bad because as soon as I walked through the door I was greeted. The door was unbelievable heavy and difficult to open. There is only 1 person on the register. I asked if they can add someone else or can i ring up with a stand alone . Manager said no. There is a line thats 12 people deep. No help. Poorly ran and operated. Cashing someone out should be top priority. Instead it's not. This is a bit frustrating. New management would be key here. It ever operates efficiently. read more

This particular location is ok. Its quite small and they don't have alot of brands or their items. I do think the customer service is ok. I was able to find someone to assist me if I needed help or had questions. I also liked that we were greeted at the door when we arrived and that I was able to let my kids play in the make up displays. They love trying on eye shadow. My 17 yr. old even had her fair share in trying on a lipstick and she doesn't like to wear makeup, so that was a plus. I would say you are better off ordering online or shopping at a Sephora in the city, if you want something quick you may find something nice from this particular store. I love this Sephora. I've purchased many a make-up item from this location with much help from the knowledgeable ladies who give great instruction and tips for all things beauty. Most times that I've come, I'm almost immediately assisted by a pleasant beauty consultant, eager to help answer my questions. I've gotten help finding the right shade for various brands and the best thing is that they email you that information if you're a beauty insider. At times, I have found myself searching aimlessly for products without so much of a greeting but that's usually during very busy hours when there just aren't enough staff members available for all the customers. Any time I'm unsure of which foundation or concealer I need to use, I get a bunch of samples and just try them all. They will give you as many as you need to help you make the right decision. It's betyer than buying an item, only to find that it doesn't do you justice. I've tweaked my beauty regimen with the help of one particular woman who works here. I forgot her name but she has helped myself and a couple of girlfriends on multiple occasions, pick out the best product for our skin as well as give us tips on products to use and how to use them. She spent a good deal of time with us and I appreciate it. It's refreshing to receive assistance from someone who's genuinely trying to help, especially when going into a make-up store can be quite intimidating. Sometimes the staff can be a bit pretentious but I've never felt that way at Sephora. read more

DO NOT PAY FOR MAKEUP SERVICES AT THIS LOCATION!!!! I came to get my makeup done for a wedding and was beyond disappointed. My eyelashes were falling off, my face did not match my body, eyeshadow dust everywhere, and mascara on only one of my lower lashes. I couldn't even believe that Sephora would allow this "artist" to work in their store. The picture I showed versus what I got could have been made into a meme. I've been standing outside for 22 mins in the cold and snow and still nothing after paying for parking to specifically come here to shop... My daughters and I went here to buy lipsticks. Needed help finding a moisturizer lipstick, not shimmery and not flat matt. We were ignored and realized why. The shoppers were predominantly black women so the employees gave their attention to them. We will never shop at Sephora again. I'm disappointed. I spend a lot of money regularly on high end beauty products and I'm always game to try different things. This sephora is very cheap with the samples. It's like it kills them or its coming out of their own paycheck or something. Also, I called to ask about a certain Givenchy limited edition lip stick. Sephora in Westchester Ridgehill .. Brilliant! I often come here since it's very close to home. I usually check on my mobile app then just grab whatever I needed here. It's not that big store but I'm satisfied for I have what I need. I do like the place and the store. Being a VIB got lots of free stuff for me.. And got good deals too. I come on certain time when I know there's no long line to pay. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They meet you up front with their smiles and still thank you once you leave. This is one of the worse Sephora's I ever been to. It's never enough staff working. I went there today and when I asked Angie a question about serums "which serums do you recommend" she responded " that requires more time and a consultation and I have to be available around the store". I felt extremely dismissed and rushed. I didn't even feel comfortable asking her any other questions about products I want to buy. I spoke with a manager and she sent someone named Angie to help and she was not helpful at all. This store is literally the worse. And it's been like this before COVID. This Sephora was the first Sephora I ever visited when I was looking to get something to cover up my uneven skin tone and I've returned many times. Every time I come in, I leave with a smile on my face knowing something new when it comes to make-up. Every. Single. Time. The Cast Members are extremely friendly and helpful. I've had instances where Cast Members made me feel extremely important when they would speak into their two-way headset and say, "Sorry, I'm with a client right now and I might be a while." All their Cast Members are very knowledgable and if they're unsure of something, they ask a fellow Cast Member. So the bottom line? Customer service is great! & Teamwork here is AMAZING! read more

I like this Sephora, but its major limitation is that it is small. There's been times I came here to see something I saw online and they don't have it. That's ok, it can't have everything, but I wouldn't "count" on them having something you know? I came in thinking I could pick up a fragrance because it was online and I was wrong. Had to scramble to another store. No big. Just a heads up. The second thing that's kind of odd is they never have samples here. I always ask for samples when I check out (online you get to pick 3), and twice now they've told me they were out. Sephora at the Westchester always has them. I used to do research and read reviews online, then buy in the store. Now it's the other way around. I go to the store and check out what I want and buy online so I can get the samples, use promo codes, etc. I do find that it is in always in good shape and orderly - I'm sure that takes a lot of effort from the staff, and for that I am certainly grateful. I'm looking forward to having a makeup application done here sometime soon. I've done it in the Westchester and was very happy with the results, and this would be way more convenient, being closer to home. I will update my review post makeover ;) read more

I was looking to buy a fo makeup foundation. I usually get one from Clinique but Yonkers was out of it. Ulta was not much of a customer experience and I was getting frustrated about this seemingly simple task turning out to be so unattainable. Despite the fact it was super busy and understaffed, Angie helped me with the most positive attitude. She juggled several guests and still remained with a smile on her face. She helped me in the perfume department and when I asked if she could help me in skin care (because nobody else was on the floor) she had no problem doing so. She even jumped on the registers to help assist with the line. She had no problem giving me samples when I asked (sometimes the employees can make you feel like an inconvenience when asking for samples). I really, really wanted to give this one a good review - but what is going on with Sephora's hiring practices in Westchester?? Someone reviewed down below that they were harassed by a nasty, rude employee with a blonde ponytail. I was harassed by the same woman! All the other employees seem polite and fine, how has this lunatic not been fired yet? She did a "demonstration" of the foundation she thought I should use, during which time she awkwardly ranted about her prior (ummm....) heavy drug use. Other salesgirls looked on, mortified. I politely told her that I was not interested in the foundation she tried on me, to which she replied "It only looks bad because your face has terrible texture". I was so taken aback and replied "wow, that's not a very nice thing to say. I'm going to take this off now. Thank you." She FOLLOWED me and yelled in a very mean tone "I'm just being honest!" She continued to follow me as I desperately tried to find a station to wipe off the crap she had piled on my face. She followed yelling "get over here! get back over here!" I ran for a manager and begged for help with getting the crap off my face. At least the manager was sweet and helpful! Not only should they fire this psycho, they should cart her off in a straight jacket. And Sephora corporate needs to review their staffing policies in Westchester locations! read more

Giving this place ONE star just because of the girl who color matched me and my mother, otherwise, DO NOT GO HERE!! Me and my mom visited this store today to be color matched for liquid foundation. I sat down first, and after some confusion as to who would help me, I got color matched and Stephanie was going to get her make up brushes to apply the foundation. While I'm waiting, who I'm assuming was the floor manager (dark skin older woman), began asking me questions about what I was there for, tells me I have to get up because that area is only for "makeovers", and tells me I have to wait 45 minutes to be seen. All the while I'm trying to explain to this idiot that I'm already being helped and she just walked away to get her brushes. After Stephanie comes back, she then tells my mom it's either "me or her" who could be seen and they have another appointments, meanwhile there weren't even many people in the store. Fast forward, me and my mom get matched with foundation and what do you know, the security guard and manager are following my mom around because they think she's going to STEAL! UNBELIEVABLE! We spent $250 and were treated horribly. If it wasn't for Stephanie being so nice, we would've taken note of everything we wanted and purchased online. Honestly go to the Westchester Mall for the service you need. Went to this store today as its close to my house. It was a little busy but why do the staff seem so uninterested in helping as I'm asking the girl questions she looking around and just can't be bothered. So I ask another girl for help and she hands me a completely different brush to what I asked for and told me it does the same thing. So I put them back and the shelf and only bought a hair serum. Good place to come if you know exactly what you want or feel like browsing without being bothered by anyone. It would not be my first choice if I need a sales associate to advise me on brands or products. Their staff are good at greeting and asking if you are finding everything okay, but not that knowledgable about products. So, I love Sephora but this place left a bad taste in my mouth. I came in looking for a specific shade of Tarte foundation. When I went over to the Tarte display there was a customer and sales associate standing in front of it, so I waited on the side until they were done. When I was able to make my way into the display I was clearly looking for something and the lovely associate who had just been helping an customer in the same place, completely ignored me. I looked in the entire display and even opened the drawer at the bottom ( where I'm pretty sure customers can't go). This heifer didn't pay any attention to me. As I keep looking, she comes over to another customer standing next to me and asks her if she need any help. Really?? I was able to find what I needed from another associate but I couldn't believe she didn't even ask me if I needed help. I felt like I overreacted once I left the store but I found it pretty rude, since every other Sephora I have been to usually has at least 2 people who ask me if I need assistance. read more
