I went to this place to get a new battery put in my Movado watch. This was the first time my watch…read morehas ever gotten serviced. The lady that helped me told me that the person that would service the watch was not in and would it would take a couple of days. A few days later they call me and tell me that the watch isn't working with the new battery. I thought it was weird that it wasn't working since it was before the battery dies. So I took it to the Swap o Rama flea market and the gentleman there opened the watch and told me that they bent a piece that holds the battery in place. He said instead of removing the piece probably by removing the screws they tried to pry it out and in turn scratching the pieces and bending the piece. So he ended up ordering the replacement parts and fixed it for me. I wouldn't recommend this place. If you do happen to do business here be very careful because if they are doing this type of work, I can imagine where else they're cutting corners or deceiving customers. Whether it's with watches or gold jewelry that they sell or buy. I mean, I got my watch fixed at a flea market for God sakes.

This review is LONG overdue…read more After looking online and at a couple of different 'big box' type jewelry stores for an engagement ring and just not finding what we wanted, we decided we wanted to go the route of having a custom ring made, and so we ended up at Holtzmann's. Pam and Pat Holtzmann are the most phenomenal folks around. When you're in their store, you feel like family. They are super friendly, and made you feel comfortable from the get-go. They are both super patient, and they really take the time to educate you on different stones, and different aspects of design to help make sure that you're creating a jewelry piece that will last a lifetime with proper care. We ended up having my engagement ring and my husband's wedding ring made by them, and then after having my husbands wedding ring made, I ended up wanting to make a more feminine, mini-version of his ring to be able to wear myself as well, and they helped us make that too. The quality of the jewelry pieces we received is outstanding, and working with Pam and Pat was the same. We valued getting to work with them so closely on pieces we plan to wear a lifetime! Although we had rings made, Holtzmann's specializes in all types of custom jewelry. We happened to pop into the store at the tail end of another couple leaving who had the most beautiful custom bracelet made, and at another visit saw someone picking up a necklace that they had redesigned with stones from a different necklace they no longer wore anymore. All of those jewelry pieces were amazing too. 10/10 recommend for whatever your jewelry needs are!!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Theo's. My husband wanted to buy me a diamond ring for our 10th wedding anniversary. Since this was a major purchase for us we did our homework and shopped around. A coworker of my husbands recommended Theos to him. We found the salesmen at Theos VERY helpful and courteous. They explained everything we needed to know about diamonds, even having us look at different stones through the loupe and pointing out what we should be seeing in the diamonds. I had a mounting in mind that I liked and they knew exactly what I was looking for. We picked up our ring the following week and it was made exactly to our expectations! I found this place randomly, to get a necklace fixed. Due to their location (18th floor of an office building) they are definitely a well-kept secret. Their lack of advertisement does mean that they won't have to recoup those cost out of your pocket. I immediately liked their personal approach, as well as their knowledgeable consultation. They are not afraid to recommend the less expensive option if it suits your needs better. I have never had a more pleasant experience in such a stressful time as shopping for my fiance's engagement ring. In summary, I cam for a ten dollar repair and came back to buy an engagement ring (which my fiancee absolutely loves) as well as a set of wedding bands. After receiving the piece I called Melanie back to again confirm 14K solid yellow gold, she was quite snippy and rude. She reneged stating only the bezel was gold and the cage was not solid gold. Why was it advertised as 14K gold? If the bezel was indeed Stuller I am sure it would have a 14K gold stamp. Not a lot of integrity here! I've worked at a jewelry store. I know what a loop is, most stores have testing equipment to determine gold authenticity. I would never do business here again.
