If you are in the market for an engagement ring or any other jewelry, believe the positive reviews on here and don't go anywhere else. This summer, my boyfriend and I started looking for engagement rings with both of us having zero idea of how the process worked. Ethan Lord was our first appointment at a jeweler and we met with Eric Geiger. Eric was honest and genuinely interested in what style we wanted, what our budget was, and what our timeline was. What was supposed to be a 30-minute consultation, ended up being an hour and a half visit at the store with Eric showing us different diamonds and allowing me to get the feel of what size I wanted. At the end of our visit, I was ready to hug him (and probably would have if it wasn't for Covid!). I went from being overwhelmed to feeling comfortable and informed, which was all I could ask for. We did go to two other jewelers to get an idea of what else what out there and to do our homework but it was honestly a waste of time. We did not feel welcomed by the other jewelers and it almost felt as if we were wasting their time because we did not have an idea of exactly what we were looking for. I was very thankful that we had such a positive experience with Eric first because we went back to Ethan Lord about a week later to start the process. I had two more visits with Eric and the team before I took a back seat in the engagement process so I cannot speak to how everything else works. However, seeing the finished ring when my boyfriend proposed last week blew my expectations out of the water! I am so in love with this ring and I have received nothing but compliments. I highly recommend this place to all soon to be engaged couple. My bf & I searched for places that can show us not only diamonds but also lab created diamonds & moissanite beginning of February. Due to covid stay home order & the riot we were unable to make an appointment until the beginning of July. As soon as we enter the space, it didn't feel like we were at a jewelry store. It feels homey, cozy & welcoming. I don't know if it was just the timing when business finally started opening after the riot/looting, that the store front didn't have any jewelry in display. We liked it that way! It feels like we get to focus on what we really want on my engagement ring. Throughout the consultation we didn't feel any pressure at all! We mostly talked about which ring will look best on my tiny slim finger. Prior to the first meeting, they already pre-selected the loose center cuts that fit with your budget so you don't even have to worry going out of your budget! Because it was just right after the looting, Erica was only able to show us 3 diff size cushion & pear cuts. Which we didn't mind. We decided to only view lab created & moissanite because we wanted an ethically sourced center. Since they are lab created we know they are flawless and they do only show you the higher grades. They don't discuss the total amount, unless your like us and feel comfortable discussing it up front. Otherwise, everything is done through email afterwards, so if you think Ethan lord is not the right jeweler for you, there won't be any awkward feelings. We feel in love with their process & the free maintenance for life sold us. Erica told us to come in at least once a year. Like are there other jewelers who will tell you to come at least once a year to keep your ring at its best? Right then, way before we stepped out the door we already know ethan lord was the one. The design process went smoothly. Erica was able to give her opinion and help my indecisive mind. She was able to tell her design team all the things I like and all the things I don't like. Everything was on point when they first sent us the first CAD designs. Erica showed us one with halo and one with not. Was so thankful they created wax for both when I went in for the wax try on. They can send the wax mold at your home, but I'm the type who wants to have someone opinion. Though I was part of the design process: saw the center cut & tried on the wax mold, I'm still mesmerized until this day how stunning and perfect my ring turn out! I was kept out of the loop when with the final cost and when the ring will be ready. My now fiance, later told me it was ready after a month. I didn't expect him to propose 3 months after. I thought it won't be until next year on our anniversary. We just decided to get the ring this year, because every year before covid, we would take couple trip and every year he was bum he didn't have one. We also decided to have ethan lord design the wedding band right away because I already know the shape I like and want the curve to fit perfectly with the engagement. That said the case was large. He wouldn't know what to do with the big case, so he was thankful and love the fact that they gave him a slim case to pull of the surprise. I came in here for an engagement ring resize. My overall experience was very pleasant and if I can describe the staff in one word I would say very professional. Like any other newly engaged ladies, I was very worried and didn't want to leave my ring even for a second so I called ahead and explained to them my situation. They told me to drop by so they can take a look at the ring before they promise me whether they can resize it or not and at the time frame I requested and also told me to bring a GIA report or an appraisal. I worked with Eric and he was very kind as well as professional. My ring needed to be sized down from a 5.5 to a 4.25. He made sure I was comfortable with the 4.25 size and that it wasn't too tight or most importantly too loose. The tricky part with my ring also was that it was engraved right at the middle, where the jewelers usually cut to resize. I talked to a previous jeweler and he said if I resize the ring I would lose the engravement. But Eric was able to help me keep the engravement and also made sure I was happy with it. I really appreciate that. So I left the place feeling very reassured and they were able to resize the ring within the time frame I requested. They called me promptly and when I picked up the ring, it fit perfectly and the engravement was saved. So in conclusion, this place has many positive yelp reviews for a reason, and I'm glad mine was a positive one as well. read more
