In last night for a late dinner. It was extremely loud do to a bigger party seated in the back, where they were going to seat us. When we requested a move CHLOE jumped in and got us moved. Turn out she was our server and did a fantastic job. We had salad which was cold and crisp. Pita chips and hummus which were great. The chip warm with a slight crunch on the outside soft inside. Came to Jeff City for a family obligation and found Theo's on Yelp. And the Yelp recommendation was spot on. My wife and I came in for a late lunch after a day of running around. Turns out that Theo's has a number of Greek entrees on the menu, so we go for that. The wife ordered a Greek Salad with chicken, and I order a gyro. Food comes and the wife smiles....good looking Greek Salad, and the chicken looks nicely grilled. She's happy, and if she's happy, I'm happy! The salad was crisp and the chicken well cooked. Tip of the hat! The gyro comes and it's looking good, too. I consider myself a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to gyros....I have the pedigree and have tasted quite the number of them, ranging from drunken nights in DC as a youth to wandering around Athens and hungry. This one was not great, but not bad, either. They need to reconsider their Tzatziki sauce, and I think that will carry much of the load, but overall, not a bad gyro. After a long 12-hour shift on a Tuesday night, I was craving one thing: a Gyro and a Caesar salad. Since I'd enjoyed both before at Theo's, I headed there expecting the same great experience. I was greeted promptly and took a seat at the bar. When I ordered a sweet tea, the bartender let me know they don't carry it--which was fine--but then informed me that because it was after 7:30, half the kitchen had already closed. Despite the restaurant being open until 9:00 PM, the only items still available were pizza or a calzone. Neither was what I came for, and it was disappointing to learn that their main menu essentially shuts down well before closing time. So I left and drove over to Arri's Pizza. The contrast was immediate: I was greeted warmly, seated right away, and able to order exactly what I wanted--sweet tea, a Gyro, and a Caesar salad--without any issue. While Theo's has good food, the limited late-evening menu and lack of communication were a letdown this time. Arri's, on the other hand, delivered great service and the meal I was looking forward to. read more

I have only had the pizza, but it was wet and soggy and not very good. The atmosphere is uncomfortable and cafeteria like not very appetizing. I might try their other Greek food because there are other options in town for Greek food. Not sure I'll go back. read more

I really wish we would have gone somewhere else for our first time in Jeff City. The ambiance was a regular bar area, maybe a bit more upscale. The food here was just okay, the fries actually ended up being the best part of the plate. The chicken on the gyro was rubbery and dry in texture almost like it was microwaved or cooked earlier in the day and then sat under a heat lamp, but the pita, onions, and tomatoes tasted okay. The chicken Parmesan sandwich was just okay, 6/10, pretty basic. The wild part is that we also asked for a side of feta and a side of pesto sauce, not knowing they would be $3.50 each.....seems pretty steep for small add ins. Also our waitress was in a very clear rush, trying to finish out our table and close out our tab as quickly as possible. We asked if we could have one of the 3 tvs changed to the blues game and we're told if we could find out the channel then they could look in to changing it. Shortly after googling what the channel was, our waitress came back, dropped off the checks telling us to have a good night, completely ignoring us when we started telling her that we had found the channel number, and then walked away. We were getting dinner there and hanging out before needing to go to our ghost tour at the MO State Penn and still had time to kill, we had planned on buying more drinks but felt like we were being forced out the door. We are all very cognizant of the wait staff's time, but this was before 7:45p when their hours say they are open until 9pm. read more

We really liked Theo's. Trendy decor, several types of seating available and okay, we were the only ones there but the service was great. I loved the choices for pizza toppings. We ordered a Greek Salad and the Veggie Bomb pizza with Greek sausage on half. The salad was the best that I've tasted outside of Greece. Fresh romaine, awesome dressing and plenty of Feta. The pizza boasted of 2 kinds of olives, green and black, mushrooms spinach and peppers. Not sure how Greek sausage is different from Italian but I tasted it and it's pretty good. The pizza was huge. We were starved so ordered an Xtra large. Ended up taking it home and having it for dinner and lunch the following day. The only thing I could suggest is brushing the edges with some garlic oil. Also, their only Bloody Mary choice was the awful zing zang. No fixing it, I lowered my standards and tried address olive juice and hot sauce, still yuck. I didn't care for the way it was priced either, $6 for a shot of "Blue" vodka and then 1.25 for juice? I was disappointed to find they had no Saganaki as and older menu posted on Yelp listed it. We will definitely go back though. Great menu and lots to try but that salad will be a first choice. Bill came to $57.92 before tip but it included beer and a drink. read more

Food was good. Service was very good. Prices are fair. Restaurant looks great. The only problem was the noise. The floor is stone, the chairs are heavy. In one hour 25 chairs were dragged across the floor, tables dragged behind them. This was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk. It ruined the evening. I recommend Theos, but don't dine in. Amazing! Ordered a large Greek salad and pepperoni/Greek sausage calzone. The salad dressing was so good! The calzone was huge! My husband and I were able to split the two items and still had a little leftover. The Greek sausage is so much better than Italian sausage - much less greasy but still flavorful. read more

Pros: Good Food: Ordered the Midtown Gyro and it was fantastic, fries good and draft Stag, which is hard to find that way and a nice plus! Upscale Look and Ambience: Nice little patio on the outside, sufficient parking. Very nice on the inside. Really nice selection on whisky's, beers, and wine - pretty much something for everyone. Cons: Temperature: Good God bring a jacket. I don't know if they need to keep the gyro meat cool or what but like a fridge in there. Service: Ehhhh, I don't know, maybe the young lady was having a bad day, but certainly came off as taking my money was an inconvenience. That said my beer didn't stay empty long and my food was brought out without any real delay. Place was pretty empty though when I went so again I would say minimally successful overall. The food was good. We shared a Greek salad, hummus and GF veggie cheese pizza. Food came fast and the pizza was wonderful AND on a cauliflower crust. Ask for it to be well done and it will be crispy. It was awesome! The other couple shared another pizza with meat and they loved it was well. My only complaint is that they charge extra for a little more dressing and Sauce for the pizza. To some extent I understand this, and it was good, but just sort of bugs me. Such is life these days. read more

Took all the kids on a Saturday night at 6:30pm. Walked up to the door and there multiple signs stating to be patient as they are severely short staffed. We were seated immediately for (5) people. Our waitress was a rockstar and never had to wait for anything! Appetizers came out so quick and the pita chips were hot and fresh! The kids ate them with nothing in them. Our meal followed soon after. The meal was hot and amazing. All the kids were happy! The entire time they were going above and beyond, they were apologizing for being short staffed. I was only recently introduced to this restaurant despite it being open for quite some time. I have been several times now and it is quickly becoming one of my favorites in town. I have yet to try something I didn't like. In fact, everything has been way beyond my expectations. Jefferson City loves Greek inspired pizza. Theo's makes a great example of this style. I, personally, think Greek pizza is very good, but it's not my favorite. For those who do love this style, Theo's is one of the best you will find. Menu items beyond pizza is where Theo's really shines. The Cuban sandwich was beyond my wildest expectations. I'm used to sandwiches like this being just a sandwich, something that is good, but nothing to marvel over. That is not what I got. I got a sandwich that was the perfect combination of flavors, something that was carefully crafted with everything in balance. I now dream about this sandwich around lunch time at least once per week. Likewise, the Greek fries are amazing. When I saw them on the menu, the ingredient list didn't look like anything I would care for. My wife ordered them and I tried some. She had to fight me off on more than one occasion after that. I have consistently underestimated everything on their menu so far. I am looking forward to trying more menu items in the very near future. read more

As the other pizza shop we were eyeing had closed, we kind of stumbled into this eatery at the last minute. The quality of this restaurant astonished me. Normally, I wouldn't order a gyro, particularly if I didn't know the restaurant, but this meat pizza was amazing. The gyro pizza was amazing. Additionally, the fries aren't greasy. I've tried their nikki pizza as well, but I don't like it. Additionally, they offer wines that go well with your meal. Though not particularly spacious, the area is adequate for a supper with a loved one. read more

Best gluten free pizza ever! I have been gluten free for many years and this is the only gluten free pizza I will order again. The wings were crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside. Wonderful Greek restaurant addition to Jefferson City. My wife and I went there for dinner - really crowded and loud but what great food! We had a Greek salad and a garden salad. Homemade dressings and Greek olives - great combination and flavor. We ordered the Hellas Pizza. The pizza was thin crispy crust. It also came with gyro meat, peppers and pepperconis. Theo's is open!!! I've been waiting for this day for a long time. It was so good, I went TWICE today. I'm not even ashamed. Lunch was a Greek said with chicken gyro meat. Super fresh ingredients and the chicken was incredibly flavorful. Back for dinner to have the Hellas pizza on gluten free crust. It was cooked perfectly and the flavors blended together just right. I wouldn't have minded a little more of the pork gyro meat, but that's all I could complain about. For it being their second full day open, I thought everything went incredibly well. Attentive, friendly service, and scratch-made ingredients from an owner who really seems to care about his customers. I hope people will continue to show this new place some love and keep it going. Very disappointed. Have made this a stop of mine to have Pizza for several years now. Usually very quick, very good and very friendly. I always have the same Pizza "50th state" which is usually awesome. Over done this time. Had to ask to move to another table and I was told they don't usually do that because they might get busy. Ordered the xl pizza which is more than enough to take home for later. Except the box they bring you is a to go and not made for larger pizzas so you have to stack pieces. Don't order a large or bigger pizza! They do have bigger boxes in the back but for to go orders. Didn't understand that one. I love theos, their food is amazing. I'm never ordering pickup again, however, and neither should you unless you check your order in front of them at the register. We ordered 2 gyro midtowns with Greek salads and an order of wings. Never once was the word fries said. Greek salad was said about 4 times. I was actually worried they were going to take it to mean an extra Greek salad, not as our sides. All I wanted tonight was a Greek salad from theos. Both midtowns came with fries, no salad, at all.
