A fine experience tonight. Even though they were extremely busy, Norma, our server never missed a beat. Die a great job and was right there if we needed anything. Perfect hand tossed small each fired perfectly , just the right combo of sauce,cheese and generous toppings perfect for 1. I've convinced myself to try a different specialty pizza each visit they were so tasty! A craft cocktail and a big giant warm cookie for dessert . The combo of the Rasberry and warm chocolate cookie was an epic after dinner dessert Service is exceptional from the bartender to the server. Both provided good suggestions from beer to pie. We stopped by around 6 Saturday evening. They were busy and we were told it would be around a 10 minute wait but we were seated within just a couple of minutes. The first table we were seated at was wobbly. Our server noticed right away and moved us right over to another table that had just been cleaned. We weren't really in the mood for pizza at first but the aroma of fresh baked pies and the fact that they scratch make their dough and sauce had me rethinking that. Our server, Paige (who was AWESOME), suggested a few different things and we ordered garlic cheese bread to start. It was very good with a mild garlic flavor. The marinara on the side wasn't quite as thick as we like but the flavor was delicious. My husband enjoyed his steak and cheese sandwich. He said the meat was slightly dry but the au jus helped. Overall he really liked it. I was torn between a salad (the dressings are homemade, too) and pizza. I went with a small margherita pizza with the hand tossed crust Paige recommended. I was not disappointed. The crust was excellent and that balsamic reduction was so good, I jokingly told Paige it would be awesome to dip my pizza in a side of it. So she brought me one. Lol. It was soooo good!!!! And I could only eat half so I got another meal out of it the next day. I've heard some people say it's a little pricey but we actually thought it was very reasonable. For 2 drinks, an appetizer, and two entrees it was $45 with tax. When you consider the scratch made ingredients and excellent service, it is one of the few places doing it right and that's worth the price. read more

Nicole was a great server. She made several suggestions when we asked what her favorite is. She was also patient with our questions and professional. The restaurant isn't too cold and is very clean atmosphere . We loved the music selection (70s). The food was good. The Apple bourbon bbq wings were okay. The wings aren't jumbo as described in the menu. The house buffalo have much more flavor and they do allow half and half flavors on 6-count orders. Not sure they are worth the price but we're good. The drink was great! The sale was very fresh and the dressings were awesome and seemed freshly made. We'll return. The food came out quickly. read more

The pizza is very good and has many choices in addition to building your own pizza. If you like to sample beer, then this is a great place for you. I wish they had a few more ciders. They continue to be busy so probably still a little slow but improving. They are a bit more pricey than other pizza places in town. read more

The Caesar salad was fantastic! Fresh greens doused in delicious dressing and tossed with Parmesan and croutons. So good. Pizza was loaded with toppings, sauce and dough were amazing. Loved it. The food was good, but the service was atrocious. If you've ever gotten the cookies from Pappo's, you know they're good, but you also know that you aren't getting them until 15 minutes after you order them. We've been a few times, and so this time I decide to order a dozen just as our food arrived. A table that was seated behind us ordered half a dozen after they finished dinner (about 15 minutes later). When we got done with our dinner, we waited and waited and watched as our waiter brought the other table's half dozen before us. As time marched on, we got excuse after excuse for the delay, "New cook, can't bake more than six at a time, something happened to the first batch." Our waiter never explained why the group that ordered theirs after us got theirs before us; while we had to sit there for twenty minutes after our meal was done. To note, this was not a busy night. I reached out to Pappo's through their "Contact Us" option, but never heard back from them. They either need to get their act together or get ready to close. That location looks like a good spot for an Olive Garden. read more

I am only giving a 3 because of the price of the beer. That food is great! The beer on the other hand is way over priced. A 10oz glass of an average IPA for $9 is ridiculous! The Pappo's name has come with a bit of hype, but I had not tried it until the opening of the Jefferson City location. Overall, I thought it was pretty bland and ordinary pizza. The crust is bland and unextraordinary. There was little to no sauce on the pizzas. The Sicilian's flavor was underwhelming. I will stick to Pizza Haus, which I believe the best pizza in the Jefferson City area. read more
