Nice people and adequate therapy, but they rarely answer the phone and never respond on their website's chat, even though it says that someone's there to answer. I sat in the waiting room almost 45 minutes. I felt like the exercises they gave me were generic and rushed. I didn't get bad treatment by any means, and everyone was pleasant, but the overall experience was frustrating. Will be canceling my next appointment (assuming I can get in touch with them). -- To add: This review is for their 1 Nagle Ave. location. There was also no specific evaluation of my injury, and as another review stated, the exercises were nothing I couldn't have found on YouTube on my own. The therapist kept leaving the room to check on other people.I felt like I was on an assembly line. They also gave me incorrect information about what my insurance would cover. read more

I have no qualms about the staff competence at my location in Brooklyn. The company's billing department, I understand, is not in the US, which is why you never reach a human when you call it. Although I would always make my appointments according to my upcoming weekly schedule, the company would call me frequently to tell me I had either upcoming appointments (which I had not made) or had missed an appointment (which I had also not made). In addition, they keep leaving me messages claiming that I have some "service charges" due, even though I made all the co-payments agreed to when I was physically present at an appointment. Absolutely would not recommend this business. I don't think the guy running my sessions for an ankle injury was even actually a physical therapist, rather just someone following a generic lower body strengthening plan. He didn't try to understand my injury and was very cold and dismissive overall. I spent way too much time doing exercises that I didn't need, and one day was ignored for 5 minutes of a 30 minute session while he did something else. I transferred care to a different business after three sessions and they confirmed that the exercises I had been given at Theradynamics were not useful at all to my particular injury. This location is shameful to the world of physical therapy and I 100% would have gotten injured worse if I had continued my care here. read more

I love Theradynamics!!! (This location) 153 Bennett Ave I've only visited this location and they are amazing! I came in 5 visits ago when I could barely life both arms due to an injury of not healing correctly after a surgery and after just my first session with Jay I felt immediate relief. I see shikha mostly and she's gotten me back on track! I felt like I was never going to get better,but thanks to these great therapist, I'm getting better and better with each session and Jennifer at the front desk is super nice and so helpful!!! I was a high school football player and a college lacrosse player at Syracuse 20+ years ago, and I've rehabbed dozens of injuries since then because I've kept playing every recreational sport I could. I love being active. Unfortunately I've had 5 orthopedic surgeries since then because I keep forgetting I'm not 18 any more, most recently a torn labrum repair in my right shoulder that I'm rehabbing right now at Theradynamics. I'm saying this because I've been through it all in PT. I've been to several places in midtown near my office over the years and have been consistently unimpressed. You share a therapist with 6 other people. They don't pay much attention to you and don't offer much flexibility in scheduling. So I thought I would try someplace near my apartment, because the most important thing with PT is being consistent and just making sure you are doing it. I also was in a sling and couldn't put my coat on so in the winter I didn't want to be traveling all over manhattan. This place is right around the corner from me and they have flexible appt. hours so I thought it would be perfect. And it has been. Honestly, I have no complaints. The staff are all knowledgeable and fine therapists. With PT you are going to get out of it what you put in. It can be the fanciest gym with the friendliest therapists, and if you are on your phone the whole time and not putting in the effort you will compromise your recovery. If you come to Theradynamics (which is admittedly not the fanciest place - although they did paint it and improve it a bit since I started coming here) and listen to your therapists, commit to your exercises, and advocate for yourself when you need their input or guidance, you will do great here. I'm farther ahead on my right shoulder recovery at this point than I was at this point when I rehabbed my left shoulder at a different place. So as long as I live around her I'll keep using this place. Although I would like to stop hurting myself for a little while maybe and take a break from PT altogether. read more

Update: I opted to go to Physical Therapy of Harlem (highly recommend!) and it took me at least five calls over the course of an entire week to get Theradynamics to send a cancellation of authorization to my insurance company. Shameful and unprofessional. read more
