Let me start by saying that I live in Crown Heights in Brooklyn, yet I commuted an hour and 15 minutes twice a week to come see Consuelo at JAG in Morningside Heights. That is how good she is. She takes her background in neuroscience, as well as here massage training, to treat her patients with the utmost care, not leaving any stone unturned in her goal to alleviate their pain. [[HIGHLIGHT]]No matter how busy it was, she always made sure to give me at least 15-20 minutes of her undivided attention.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Her caring soul and bright smile brought me so much peace during a time of pain.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Consuelo not only helped with my pain in the moment, but she taught me to understand my own mind-body connection so that I could continue to take better care of myself moving forward. i have been a patient at JAG 245 Broadway, on and off for two years. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They staff is competent, friendly, and supportive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. A diagnosis for knee replacement from an orthopedic surgeon, sent me there two years ago, for physical therapy to ward off surgery, as I am an active 84 year old, who doesn't want to succomb to inactivity, After cortisone shots, which are no longer working, an xray showed intense arthritis in both knees; hence surgery. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Therapy started out well for the first few weeks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But after a number of sessions, therapist seemed to have lost interest: passed to to assistant for mundane exercises, sessions started 15 minutes late, wasted time on exercise machines I told them I had access to in my building's gym, i.e. not focussed on my issues just going thru the motionms. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had a bad experience here, because my therapist quit or left after my first session, but nobody told me, and for my second session I saw only an "aide," a person who tells you what exercises to do from your chart, but has no medical training.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Some of the aides check your form a little, others don't. [[HIGHLIGHT]]For my third visit, I specifically booked an appointment to see another therapist, Joe, but when I got there, he refused to see me, because apparently they want you to work with aides only for FOUR visits before you can see a therapist again.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It doesn't matter how far apart these four visits are spaced, either. So basically you're just doing your home exercises on their equipment, and they are charging your insurance and you the same as if you had seen a therapist on each visit. Something about the whole set up just didn't seem right to me, and I am now going elsewhere and getting significantly better care. read more

Today was my first appointment for a torn meniscus. Waited 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment before I was seen. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had someone do the heat therapy, then another person tell me to do some exercise without introducing himself. he didnt look me in the eyes once.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]he told me to do an exercise 30 times. I have a neuromuscular disease & I said that I can't start out like that. He shook his head and walked away.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then another woman came over and told old me to do other exercises. WHO was my therapist? Why didn't anyone sit down with me and ask me my history??[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]The place was packed. Therapi were stressed. because of doing too much this morning my knee feels like it tore more and the burning pain is off the charts. no one took my neuromuscular disease into consideration . I can't do what a "normal" person can . I would not recommend this place at all. read more

This place is a zoo. I can't understand all the good reviews. There are rows of tables. It is so overcrowded. On one visit they did not rven have a table for me and stuck me in a chair. The therapist spent 10 minutes with me and then had the stock boy, who was refilling items, tell me my next exercise. No one was monitoring whether I was doing them correctly. In fact, I tore my medial meniscus while working our incorrectly. Do not recommend! read more

JAG-ONE Morningside Heights is the best. They helped me recover from surgery after a tibial plateau fracture. The treatment was comprehensive, progressive, and caring. I cannot recommend them highly enough. read more

MOST IMPORTANT thing I learned is that a PERSON MUST INTRODUCE THEMSELVES AS A PHYSICAL THERAPIST. I called for an appt. At first she said Friday, then Monday then the earliest is Wednesday Aug 2 at 8:30AM. I arrived and the woman with blonde hair and green ends was rude and abrupt. Voice sounded very familiar. She claimed it was 2 days ago but I wrote it down in black ink and in my phone so not possible. I now have to wait two hours to be seen because that was all they had. The rude receptionist is telling me that it was not their fault. But then whose fault is it. She would not allow me to speak and was dismisses. I told her that I should be able to express myself and speak. My hands were trembling that I could not fill out the form. I had to cry to let out the disrespect and anger I felt and the length of time I waited for this appt. I am there to heal. I also heard them talking about me. Finally I go inside to see a Dr. who said it was bridge under the water. What? Seriously? Then after her interview I was left with a person who she introduced by name and did NOT say she was a PHYSICAL THERAPIST. This person gave me exercises to do and began cleaning and putting things away. Not once checking to see if I am doing it right so I will not return. As I left I thanked the receptionist at the front for her rudeness. One just one act of kindness goes a long way. It is chaotic and unorganized. You will be in a room full of people and no privacy. It is like cattle. The following day I was in pain and my foot swelled so maybe I did the exercise wrong but no one was there to watch me. My first and last appt. Went to another place and they did something to my foot and the swelling went down. read more

Just started going to JAG.. what a great team of therapists and aids. If have a need for PT, try JAG.

This is difficult to write because the therapists here are second to none and the very best I've worked with. But the company leadership seems to have decided to make the staff work with NO AC for most of this summer. I get it, it costs money, but every other small business in NYC and the United States and most of the world has AC, so why not you, JAG-ONE? You do this to your staff, and you also expect elderly and injured patients to suffer through therapy, drenched with sweat? This will be my last visit until it's fixed or the season changes. I feel terrible for your staff, they are too high quality to. Be treated this way. read more

I am so lucky that I found JagOne Physical Therapy and my PT Joe Persico. It's a great facility with all Covid protocols in place so I feel totally comfortable being there. Joe is wonderful. Incredibly knowledgeable. I know this because he explained in detail what my issue is (after looking at my MRI), even drawing pictures so I'd truly understand (which is important to me). Joe listens carefully and is very attentive and patient. I believe I'm in excellent hands with him. I have not one ounce of hesitance recommending Joe and JagOne! read more
