More than a year ago, I began seeing Antoinette for a difficult issue that I was facing in my life…read more I had gone to another therapist before Antoinette, but there was very little real progress. So after trying to work out the problem in various ways on my own, I came to her emotionally and physically drained and unable to make any further progress on my own. I found Antoinette an extremely patient and understanding listener and also an insightful and experienced thinker. She listened intently to my concerns and through our sessions was able to develop a full understanding of my way of thinking and the challenges I was facing. Through her understanding and professional training, she was able to help me realize my true intentions and desires and help me effectively move towards a positive resolution to my issue. I am happy to say that after my time with Antoinette, my situation has improved dramatically. This review is not a critique of her ability as a therapist, but rather the manor in which they began strictly enforcing late rescheduling fees. Due to work, I had to reschedule(not cancel) an appointment approximately 38 hours before my scheduled time. Their policy is 48 hours. 3 days later I received a superbill for an automatic late charge fee of $200. When I asked about the charge, their response was curt and uncompromising. Because of this, I chose to part ways. I have never been charged such a fee by a health care provider. Once long term relationships are established with health care providers, it is generally assumed that there is a threshold, a certain amount of leniency/forgiveness in situations like this. For further context, my wife had previously been under long term care with their practice for over 13 years. I hope this helps others know what to expect when engaging with this office and practice.
