He also took many photos for us and even joined in on some of them. Raul was on time picking us up in the morning and was very pleasant and professional. Our destinations during the day included the rainforest, a natural waterslide, a delicious food kiosk, the beach and a bio bay tour. Raul has a wealth of knowledge about Puerto Rico and its culture and was very enthusiastic and energetic throughout the tour. It was evident he truly loves what he does. He also has a great sense of pride in his home and its history. While I most definitely enjoyed the delicious food and wonderful sights and experiences, Raul himself left a profound impression on me. He is one of the most genuine, humble and hardworking people I have ever met. He has a terrific sense of humor and was very easy to get along with. After spending a few hours with him, I felt like he was part of our group of friends. At the end of the tour when he was officially "off shift," we invited him to join us at a small neighborhood bar near the condo at which we were staying. After a long day, he could have chosen to decline and go home; instead, we shared a few drinks and stories and lots of laughs. It was a fabulous ending to an epic day!!

Fifty people from our community went on a cruise together and we used Natural Wonders for an excursion. The tour was excellent. They easily handled a large group. We had Alicia as our tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable about the rain forest and Puerto Rico in general. We used 2 buses and the 2nd driver was equally as knowledgeable. The tour was punctual, very comfortable conditions and the price was reasonable. I would highly recommend using their services.

Jet skiing in Puerto Rico is supposed to be a blast, but I can't say that doing it with this…read morecompany was a great experience. Parking and getting to the place were pretty easy. As we walked up to the tent, we met our guide who silently gave us our vests and wasn't friendly at all. He walked us through the jet ski operation. after which we went to the sea. First off, the equipment was very dated. Broken buttons, cracked seats, some unrepaired damage. Those jet skis had seen better days. Secondly, I was under impression that we would be riding on our own (which is how it was in most resort towns I've been to), but we were told to follow the guide and stay in one line as a group all the time. What was supposed to be a fun time, turned into a 25mph convoy where any attempt to move off the line was met with the guide yelling at you. It's like coming to Universal Studios to ride VelociCoaster and being put on a merry-go-round instead. Can't say it was worth $150+ for the hour.

We were totally fine as we heard the place gets packed super quick during the busy season (and we were glad we did). He also gave very detailed instructions as to what to bring. We were picked up at 6:50 and then we picked up another couple at 7:00 so 6 of us in total made for a very personalized experience. We were on the trail by 8:15. He offered to be in charge of our phones so he would take pictures and videos while keeping them safe in his waterproof backpack. We enjoyed the hike, waterside, cliff jumping and rope swings. Before arriving at the rainforest, we had made a quick stop at a fruit stand where Pablo picked up mango and avocado and while enjoying one of the natural pools, he cut it up for us for a delicious snack. We had one member in our group that took a bit of a tumble but Pablo remained very calm and professional and all ended up being fine and we continued with the hike. As we were wrapping up, we saw several very large tour groups making their way to the hike. So glad for that early start! Pablo took us to a place for lunch that was off the beaten path and so delicious! Burgers, wraps, fish tacos, freshly made fruit juices in cocktails all hit the spot! We were back to our hotel around 2 pm. Tip: Shoes!! Lots of people wore tennis shoes. Great for hiking but terrible for the very muddy parts and hanging out in the water. They will be totally covered in mud by the end. I used those water shoes that form fit around your toes, have great traction and has a velcro strap. Even though they fit well, they did slip off at the heel a few times when I stepped into deeper muddy areas. Others in our group wore Chacos. Those were the best. They had good traction on bottom and you can secure them on tightly with the straps! It will be VERY slippery no matter what shoes you wear.

Best mud bath, hike, rock climbing and water sliding adventure I've ever had and I'd do it all again‼ Jean picked us up in a very clean and comfortable SUV. He had waters, phone chargers and lots of friendly personality waiting for us at 8am. We stopped for ice and snacks along the way and an authentic kiosk lunch on the way back. We enjoyed the fact that Jean was our personal guide for the day. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about the rainforest He was funny and informative at the same time and had lots of stories to share. My husband plans the best adventures for us and this was no exception. Jean at Hidden Excursions PR was a definite win for us celebrating our 25th anniversary and I would use their services again for our next trip!

We took the "You're the Boss" tour with Hector today for first day of my bachelorette trip. I was…read morewith 5 of my girlfriends and we ALL LOVED it. Hector is one of the best tour guides I've ever had the pleasure of traveling with. Our itinerary was basically the "Let me show you MY island" tour but we just asked for it to start two hours later (at 10am) and end at Farjardo where we are staying for the night. Hector was funny, informative, and so friendly. He really went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time and provide the best service possible: - We were 6 girls on my bachelorette and we forgot my selfie stick at home. We asked Hector if he can take a picture of all of us at the beginning of the trip. From that point on, he not only offered to take our photos at every stopping point but even directed us on where to stand so that we can get the best photo. - He really had a love of the island and its history and did a great job connecting all the dots of history for us from Puerto Rico's indigenous history to colonialization days and even all the famous people PR has produced throughout the year. He also gave a lot of great recommendations for everything from tourist shops to bars/areas we should visit. - Technically our tour was supposed to be 6 hours but Hector let us stay extra time at certain spots and brought us to places that weren't on the itinerary and always spent extra time getting our photos. He offered to extend the tour so that we can eat at a sit-down restaurant which we really appreciated. And at the end of our tour, even as he's dropping us off at our Airbnb, he stayed around until we opened the door before leaving. Puerto Rico is beautiful with such a long history but Hector really made this tour for us. We all had the best day and it was such a great start to my bachelorette. I highly recommend anyone who is considering a tour in Puerto Rico to do De Tour Con Ali with Hector.

The tour starts early but trust me when you leave you will understand why. Heidi has so much knowledge to share as you go through all areas of the rainforest, while Jose is right beside making sure you feel safe. I am not in the best shape, never hiked off a path or flat land, and with the help of Jose I was able to do this hike. We hiked through muddy areas, climbed some rocks, got to do a natural water slide, rope swing, and jumped into the river. Heidi and Jose are locals who take pride in Puerto Rico, they put your safety first from the moment they pick you up, you truly feel like they are your family. They are also in communication with you before your trip and even offered suggestions and helpful hints for other things outside of their tour. I took this tour on a girl's trip and enjoyed it so much I went back with my 19-year-old son who enjoyed this more than our beach days.

The fiancé and I took the "Perfect Getaway (w/ snorkeling)" with PR4LESS TOURS. A few days before…read moreour trip, I contacted the owner Rafael personally via phone number provided by VIATOUR to confirm if he was able to accommodate us last minute during our short stay in Puerto Rico. Rafael was currently on a tour during our conversation but ultimately returned my phone call confirming that he was able to accommodate us on 12/31/16. We were picked up at 0800 hrs by Rafael and his life partner, Katiana, at our Hotel (Tryp by Wyndham). Also present was their son Danny who was a delight to have the entire day. We were offered water from their cooler. The tour started immediately and Rafael began teaching us the history of Puerto Rico during the drive to each location. Rafael also informed us that due to the tradition of "celebratory gun shots" on NEW YEARS EVE, he's decided to not put our lives in danger and avoid Aguadilla entirely during this tour (unfortunately, due to this anomaly, we missed out on snorkeling during this tour). Our first visit was to La Cueva del Indio caves near Arecibo where Rafael taught us about the Taino tribe and their values based on the elements surrounding the area. It was about an hour ride from where we were staying in Isla Verde. Katiana dropped us off on the side entrance of the roadway that lead into a short wooded pathway, out onto a beautiful, breathtaking beach. Unfortunately, we were unaware this was happening, and could not put on appropriate footwear in time for this attraction. We then climbed onto the cave's rocky terrain, to get down to the actual area where we were able to climb down onto a ladder into the caves (tennis/hiking shoes recommended). Rafael was very knowledgeable about the rich history of the Island and its surroundings. He taught us a lot of things that we did not know about Puerto Rico, and some controversial events between Puerto Rico, Spain, & The United States. He also guided us how to navigate the rocky terrain and climb-down into the caves. Unfortunately, we could not alternatively snorkel here due to the strong waves and riptide. After the caves, we took a scenic ride to the country side of San Sebastian. Along the way, Rafael & Katiana were very accommodating to our stop requests to purchase items alongside of the highway sold by the locals. Fiance and I are always in support of local business over the the Big Box stores, so it was a delight to be able to contribute to the local vendors. We stopped at a fruit stand and enjoyed one of the best Pineapples I've ever had (Rafael bought our first pineapple, and even cut it up for us into slices!). Rafael mentioned that Puerto Rico is known for its pineapples! We also saw raw gandules (compared to the ones in a can that the Fiance cooks with), homemade pineapple hot sauce, and honey. We bit into a tangerine peeled by Rafael and was blown away by its' organic taste. Next stop was a personal request by my fiancé who wanted to purchase an authentic Pilone for when she makes her food back at home. Katiana stopped us at a small shop on the side of the road. At this stop, I also purchased a straw hat and the shop owner gave us a great deal on both the Pilone and hat. Next stop was in San Sebastian, which was about 45 minutes away from Arecibo. We were able to witness and enjoy two cascada waterfalls of the Gozalandia. The first waterfall was a short hike (10 minutes) and included a swinging rope and decent size swimming space. We swam here for a bit and continued on to the second waterfall. The second waterfall was such a serenity and less crowded. The swim space was close to the size of an Olympic pool. There was a rope to assist your climb to the top of its' waterfall, however, required a lot of upper body strength and caution due to the slippery rocks. During these two waterfalls, we were never rushed by the tour guide, and were not given a time limit to how long we could stay. Rafael, Katiana, & Danny, joined us during the hike-through and taught us about different plants and their uses (mostly medicinal). Finally, we stopped at the on-site restaurant/bar (Sha's) to enjoy a meal together. It felt like I was sitting with family and not a formal tour guide company. PR4LESS is a family owned and operated tour company who made this tour very personable for the woman and I. Even with the last minute request, Rafael & Katiana still was able to accommodate just us two even if their were no one else who booked a tour with them on New Years Eve. I would definitely book again due to the tour being a crossover between formal and informal; which I prefer. They currently are working on their home, which they hope to provide bed and breakfast service to their future guests. I hope they stay in business because their tour offers a unique experience with alternative routes that are not congested by other tourists. Thanks to Rafael and his wonderful family I have fallen in love with Puerto Rico again. Rafael's vast knowledge of the history of Puerto Rico, religion, and the hot spots across the entire island provided an amazing tour of approximately 75% of the island in our 3 days. Not only did we get to experience the most beautiful areas of the island but also got to enjoy the best of Puerto Rico's culture and food. We felt safe at all times due to Rafael's professional security and previous experience in the US Army. Prior to our arrival, Rafael worked with me to determine a customized travel plan that not only included excursion specifics but also airport transportation, travel assistants, and concierge services. He also reviewed a detailed list of items, such as, age of family members, medical conditions, activity and food restrictions, etc. Rafael is extremely professional, always on time and has great communication skills in both Spanish and English. You can trust his 7 year old son Daniel when he says, "Your wish is his[Rafael] command." Our excursions were 8-12 hours each day and throughout our trip Rafael and his family made us feel like a part of their family. I have traveled to over 8 countries and 35 states and can declare that Rafael is the best tour guide I've ever met.
