I asked for a side shave and curly haircut. She cut the longer part of my hair well- but she gave me way too deep of a side shave, and it looked goofy. I had my hair done by Katie, I have hair type 2C and 3A. Length is half way down my back. I came in with pictures notes and what and why I wanted the specific things. Very thorough throughout the process. So generous compliments and all for embracing my natural curls. Let me work the oil through my hair to see how I felt best fit with it. She was pretty fast and efficient just as it was booking appointment had an option as soon as the next day and day after. You book for hair cut or color but do the consultation first to see if you want it ! They will give you the time plus I got to use a mirror with another mirror the whole time different angles. I went for a shaggy hair cut to add to my curls! My hair cut just below the shoulders because it curls up. We did some high cheek bone face framing. Plus an undercut which I've needed for skin related conditions and chronic neurological head aches. I asked for a shaved heart but it would have blended so we had a little of fun and had the heart dyed and I got to pick a color. Overall amazing and I finally have someone I trust with my hair! Would definitely go back to her and become a regular. All this for only $60 by the way! Next time I would love to tip as I could this time but I would of grabbed a favorite drink for her as my think you she is amazing and I definitely recommend her for the curly girls that want few cuts and styles and for a great price. I booked a style haircut online and was quoted one price and then overcharged after having to ask for my hair to be dried and styled. The owner has a dog that she brings to the salon and the towels she used to dry my hair was covered in dog hair and smelled like wet dog. I hate my cut and the style isn't even stylish. The haircut I received was not what I asked for and the level of indifference from the stylist made me sad. She didn't shampoo my hair well, she didn't talk to me while she cut my hair and when I asked her to make it look like what I had asked for (I had several photos that I showed her for reference), she proceeded to cut off another 2 inches but not actually change anything. All I can say to her is: "If you don't know how to give me a severe inverse bob, then say so and ask will take my hair elsewhere." Now, all I have is 8 inches less hair and a poorly cut bob. This is the second time I've come to Deana at Third dimension and she's really great! I have REALLY thick hair and LOTS of it... and it literally takes forever to do anything to. She's talented, creative. and has more patience than some hairstylists that I've been to. I came here for cutting my hair as a bob. I showed a picture like I want my hair cut to the girl and for the first time she cut them not that short and had to cut them again. After she finished cutting and start to style my hair- both sides were looking at the same way. Had an appointment with Rosy today. Third dimension is usually always consistent with great customer service and professional haircuts. This time was not. The place seemed very sad and there was not much communication between me and Rosy. She asked me "what i would like today" and I replied with not really knowing how I short I would like it off the top hinting that I would like her to give me some ideas. Nothing. She laughed slightly and continued giving me my haircut. There was no attempt to gain rapport during the haircut and she did not even do what I asked her to do with my hair. She offered me a shampoo after but i told her I would take care of it when I got home but left me without blowdrying my hair to get any of the hair off. I left itchy with a disappointing cut. I will be back but hope I do not get Rosy again. read more

I love this place! Great atmosphere, friendly and professional staff. I'm the worst kind of customer - I want my hair cut how I want, but I don't know what I want. I'm very bad at explaining to a stylist how I want my hair cut. I usually end up leaving feeling very frustrated and annoyed that I didn't end up with the style that I 'wanted' from most places. Called and asked if they could accommodate three people at noon. They said no problem. Showed up to only one stylist and told we could go back to back. Basically saying we needed to spend two hours at Fred Meyer waiting for three haircuts. Called supercuts down the street and walked out. They didn't even try and apologize. My daughter and I have been coming here for over 3 years! Each time I have called same day for an appointment and we show up they are ready for us. We both have very long hair THAT WE LOVE so we have are hard time trusting someone with scissors to our heads, but we trust the staff completely. Over the years we have seen many stylists mainly because I have to schedule an appointment when I'm on the go and can never remember the stylists name! BUT...we were just in this last Monday, July 22nd and my daughter's hair was cut by Savanna P. I was scared $#!tless cause my daughter wanted her hair chopped off (butt to shoulder). Savanna got to work and in about 15mins my daughter had a BEAUTIFUL shoulder length do complete with all over and face framing layers!!! Only reason I did not rate 5 stars is because thus far we have only gotten cuts, styles, deep conditionings, trims and bangs. No perms or colors. read more

UPDATE: 08/19/13- Since this past event - I've gone in and been advised to ask for a Level 3 stylist. I've done so. Although it is a tad bit more expensive, it may be worth it. I am not sure if this facillity buys cheaper dyes, or what... but after 3 attempts to lift the red from my hair- I still have strawberry blonde hair, and a lot of breakage. I added another star only because my newly chosen stylist there has restored some of my faith. If I could give ZERO stars, I would! I have been coming to this salon for over 4 years. Each time I go is WORSE! I went in last year, with photoS of what I wanted done. I wanted a very simple, long layered pixie. I ended up with a JUSTIN BEIBER look alike style. The women used MAN'S CLIPPERs and shaved up one side of my head. DEFINATELY NOT what I asked for. It's taken me a year to grow out my hair, I've worn hats and hoodies to cover the mess that was growing in. I was INCREDIBLY SCARED of letting anyone come near me with scissors again, but I knew it needed to be done. I went in, explained my fear and why... showed more photos of what I wanted done. Explained the type of all over color that I'd used previously (months earlier) and explained in great detail what I wanted. What I stressed the most... NO RED, TINTY color. I was told, that I was in great hands, and I would be in love with the new look when it was done. The girl doing the color started with a million foil packs, which I understood. But when she started making comments about the brassy colors and how I kept needing more time to sit under the heater. When she started washing my hair- I knew I was in trouble.. she kept making comments about toning my hair, and where some foil packs had "smeared" out of the packet. She took me back to dry my hair- and I IMMEDIATLY FROZE! My hair was $()@*$!!! There were just SPLOTCHES of red/orange/blonde pieces all over the place. I looked like I could have done the same thing to myself with a paintbrush. Not to mention, my hair was FRIED STIFF. She came over to me and with a swatch book, asked if she could dye my hair back dard.... AFTER the fact that now it's fried... and you want me to trust you with chemicals on my hair again?!!? F*&^ NO!. I got up and attempted to walk out- mind you, THIS GIRL NEVER APOLOGIZED! The manager stopped me and asked to give me a conditioning treatment, which has helped a bit. She cut my hair, but couldn't go as short as I requested, because the back would be patchy from the BOTCHED highlights. Needless to say though, My hair is still a HORRIBLE DYE job, because now I've got to wait for it to heal a bit before I can go back in to TRY and have it fixed, without completely dying back over it. I usually dont go just anywhere to get my hair done, but I figured just a trim wouldnt be too bad. My hair is kind of long and really thick. She did what I asked of her just about an inch and a half, all seemed ok. But I went back again just a week ago to get my hair washed and styled( I just wanted to treat myself) and thought I would get my brows waxed too. Big mistake!!! The wash and style wasnt so bad, I could have done a better job, but like I said I just wanted to treat myself and not have to do my hair for a night out. The eye brows is where all went to hell. Ok I will take responsibility for not letting her know what I wanted but as a professional when she said " I will just clean them up for you" I figured she could tell I was in the process of growing them out from a previous mishap. My mistake. She flat out butchered them, when she showed me the handy work I was like "ok just stop thats good". We proceeded to the styling, and shes talking away and by this point im not saying much. By the way she mentioned my "uneven haircut" and she was the last person to cut my hair a few weeks before. Ok back to the eye brows, I think she knew she messed up and to make up for it offered me 10 % off a shampoo she recommended. I was waiting to see if she would even acknowledge her mishap but that never came about. Total coast for a wash, style(flat iron), eye brow wax, and a shampoo was about $64. Like I said I will take responsibility for not doing my part and letting her know or at least giving her a heads up. I dont remember her name but her chair was closest to the window. Upside she was very nice lady, but I dont plan on coming back here for services. Customer Service was good, but actual services not so good, at least for me. Perhaps a different stylist. read more

Price changes everytime I went there. The stylists aren't very good and the price is expensive. I walked in for my hair cut because it is located at Fred Meyer, where I do most of my shopping and since I don't really need to make appointment, I just go in and get my hair done. I have now changed to the supercut because the price never fixed (it seems like they will charge you whatever they want and don't have the set price, each stylist has a different price). Supercut is way cheaper and they have the fixed price, stylists skills are much better and they are friendly as well. read more

Find a different salon to go too...the manager is rude and doesnt know how to talk to people or guests. I stopped it to get my haircut since I was in the area. My first thought was..."wow, how can a manager be so rude to a new costumer?" I was happy that the hairdresser I did get was nice and sweet, made me feel welcomed. I left happy but again...the manager wasnt so nice and sweet. No smile and all she did was give a cold look and take my money. She even tried to get to buy some product but with how she looked and dressed...mmmm hell no. The only reason why I knew she was the manager too so when I told my hairdresser they new a front person...she told me that was her manager. I LAUGHED! WHAT A BAD COMPANY! I have always been scared to let someone new do my hair. Have not gotten my hair cut in a while because i just do not trust anyone. Went in there in the morning to get a deep red color for the fall time. They showed me the color book and i picked out my color. Kaylin did an AMAZING job at doing the perfect red. I got a hair cut by Savanna... She was a very nice girl but she sucked at cutting a fade.. I've been here twice now and no one can cut a proper "fade" I'm a man with very short hair ,so it's not a big deal if someone messes up on my hair because it will grow back in a week or two.. I was a little skeptical of coming here after reading the reviews. Myra cuts a couple of my coworkers hair so I decided to give it a try after another salon in auburn (with great reviews) gave me a horrible choppy haircut. Myra was super sweet and listened to what I want. She was able to clean up my choppy hair, while keeping some length, giving me a great inverted (but not too inverted) bob. We have been going for years here. First it was Jessie, than Heidi, now Kaylin. These 3 were wonderful. Kaylin still does mine and my daughters hair and brows. Yes we have each had a bad experience with other stylists there. I dont believe any of them are still there. But they also have had other stylist that we have used like Hoang and others that aren't there. I think you have to gel with the person. Communicate with them. If I haven't been happy they fix it. Please think twice before you let pretty much anyone here do your hair! I came here with the intention of getting my roots to match the ends of my hair. The first time I went, the girl put a very low developer in my hair which left me with little change, so I called and came back a week later, with the hope that they could fix it and get me closer to my VERY clear end goal. I had shown enough pictures and was told repeatedly we could get there. The girl started my hair very early in the morning using a high volume developer, and using olaplex. The entire time I was a bit nervous because I had never had so many foils on my head and they were starting to become quite hot, I asked multiple times if she was sure that my hair wouldn't fall out saying such jokingly. After leaving the bleach and most of the foils in my hair for over 4 hours, I was left with mismatched hair, some parts really warm other parts were completely white, I hadn't looked at it dry yet. She rinsed me out and I think she must have noticed something was wrong in the bowl because she quickly hurried me out without drying it or brushing it out and said wow your hair feels so soft. It looks really good. So I get home, and I have time before I have other things to do, to attempt to dry my hair I was freezing by that point. I get my wet brush and the moment I brush into my hair, my hair literally starts to come out in massive clumps, as if I had just done a chemo treatment. There was SO MUCH breakage that I was forced to get 8 inches of hair removed, and they still haven't resolved the issue. I keep having to buy product in an attempt to fix my hair and nothing is working. I went back to ask if I could get something else that might help and the stylists that did my hair saw me and her eyes went wide and she quickly slammed the curtain closed. I am appaled that they think this is acceptable and have started to communicate with a lawyer for some sort of compensation because now my hair is EVEN shorter because the last time I went they suggested to remove even more. I'm quite vain when it comes to my hair and have struggled to grow my hair out for a long time and now it's so short I can't even wear it in a pony tail and that's devastating for me. I went here because I've had bad expierences elsewhere but at least at those places I still had hair when I left. The Third Demension in Bonny lake is SO MUCH better...and they are trying to work with me there but the Auburn store is toxic and I wouldn't trust them with much of anything.
