HOM solutions decided that the project was too much for them to handle because the floor required leveling and cancelled the job! We recently had windows installed by the folks at Colorado Window Source. We found them through the…read morerecommendation of a friend, and have been very pleased with our choice. We first thought about replacing our windows when somebody from Replacement by Anderson knocked on our door. We were totally turned off by the "salesy" approach he took, and the fact that our quoted price dropped from $50,000 to $37,500 by the time our visit came to a close. Our experience with Colorado Window Source was totally different. My husband connected with Kurt, who spent a good hour on the phone with him, patiently answering his questions about the benefits of one manufacturer versus another. Kurt invited us down to the showroom, where we were able to compare products, and see which worked best for our needs. It was nice to have some options to choose from, and talk with somebody who was knowledgeable about the benefits of one product versus another. And we never got the feeling that he was trying to steer us toward a more expensive product. We ended up paying less than half of what Anderson's lowest quoted price was, to replace all of our above-ground windows and a sliding glass door. Jim and his team of installers were fantastic. Although the windows took a bit longer to arrive (due to to a delay at the manufacturing facility), the windows were ready three weeks later than originally quoted. But they got our installation scheduled right before the big cold snap in December, and all of the new windows were installed before the cold set in. The extreme temperatures kept them from putting the finishing touches on the installation until a week later, but we were grateful that they worked so hard to get the new windows installed before the cold weather set in. And once it was warm enough to do all the finish-work, Jim and his guys knocked the work out in a day. We live in a very old home, so I was a bit leery of using a company that I assume does a lot of work in the suburbs. But we are very pleased with the Sunrise windows we purchased, and have received many compliments on the improvements from our Park Hill neighbors. I've already recommended Colorado Window Source to other friends who are thinking of replacing their old-home windows.

I got a text asking if they could deliver them on the original date given but I had to move it a week out from that - April 4th to April 10th. They them moved it to the 17th and kept moving the date forward with no advance notification or explanation. I made a lot of phone calls and emails, bottom line is no one at CWS knows what the other departments are doing. And they aren't giving Lowe's advance notice of this. They just got delivered today, May 18th and the 3 panel slider was just 1 piece! I'm at my wits end with this company and if there's any way you can avoid them, do so! I wish I had looked into them before I ordered!
