I had a property with renters and the renters completely trashed the house - holes in walls, let their kids draw/write on several of the walls, chipped corners, you name it - the damage was done! The RME crew came in and finished the inside in a about 4 days. The outside - well, let's just say it had seen better days! Water damage on most of the exterior windows, hail damage to the siding, broken garage door frame, etc. These guys came in and power-washed the whole house and four days later - looks like a brand new house! We worked with RMEXT after the May'23 hall storm. We were able to receive an inspection and quote very quickly, despite the high volume of damaged homes at that time of year. I was really hoping the roof and home could be replaced before my daughter's summer birthday party at our house. Worst ever. Hail storm was June of 2023 and we are still dealing with their incompetence. The morning after the storm I saw a RME truck prowling around the neighborhood like a vulture. They knocked on the door and I gave them a chance. Big mistake. They were supposed to replace the roof shingles, paint the exterior, and replace any broken window frames. Everything seemed fine, but things pushed into the Fall and then to Winter. I was told supply chain issues were the hold up on our roof. Meanwhile everyone else on our block was getting new roofs. I suggested changing up the shingle color and type to get things moving. We were flexible. No response after multiple outreaches. Finally got a response from the company. Finally got a new roof in the Spring. Noticed all kinds of pot marks on the shingles and they blamed the painters ladders. They finally replaced shingles in question. Window installers scheduled a date on a Saturday and no-showed. When they showed, they didn't install a window and installed one with a different style. Once we saw this we were told "that's the new style and they don't make those type anymore". We also had damage to our window seals with the install and were informed that a painter would follow up with needed touch up work. It's August and here we are with no communication. I get that supply chains and staffing issues occur, but lack of communication is unacceptable. All we needed was a new roof, paint the house, 7 new windows, and some touch up paint after the new windows installed. We are 14 months in. read more

Ben and his team worked with us on repairs from a recent hail storm. The repairs included the roof, windows, and painting/repairs for various items are ours the exterior. Ben took the time to work us through the process, offer options, answer questions, and ensure we were comfortable with the entire process. They were in constant communication the entire time. Not legit methodology they use when "teaching" people how to abuse their insurance carriers and file fraud claims. RMEXT sends their sales reps to communities to advertise "free" replacements or cosmetic fix with no cost for house owners if they file fraud claims. One of them knocked on to my door recently showing me some scratches on window frame from hailing and said he will be back in 3 days for a meeting with our neighbors teaching everyone on how to file insurance claims. They give advices (unlicensed) from not of their area of expertise to file fraudulent claims targeting uneducated people which brings insurance rates up for everyone in our community. I will file a claim to stopfraudcolorado.gov and encourage everyone who has been targeted by RMEXT to do so. read more

I had very bad experiences with Rocky Mountain Roofing and Exteriors. I had to replace the windows and roof because of the hail damage in May 2023. The original project was to replace both roof and windows through the company. Replacing the roof was okay, but replacing the windows had been delayed and the company finally gave up the project. So, I had to contact another company to replace the windows. The worst thing was the wire transfer frauds. Their open invoices were disclosed to someone outside of the company somehow and the invoices were used to make people wire transfer money to someone's bank account. I was one of the victims of the wire transfer fraud. I was deceived because there were two exact employee names in the email of the wire transfer request and their email addresses looked like the real one (rmext.com). Later, I realized the wire fraud spam email had an 's' at the end of rmext (rmexts.com) in the email address. I reported the fraud incident to my bank, the FBI, and the Federal Trade Commission. Fortunately, I received the money back from the bank (from the external bank or BMO to my bank) in about 3 weeks. Because of these very bad experiences, I would not recommend Rocky Mountain Roofing and Exteriors as the company for your roof replacement. If it is necessary to replace the roof in the future again because of another hail damage, I would not contact them. read more

Rocky Mountain came and painted my house last fall (2018) and did a pretty good job. There are some spots that they missed on the trim, so I called back up for warranty work. It took three almost four weeks to get someone scheduled to come out to my house and when the appointment was supposed to happen, they never showed up. I eventually got him rescheduled, it took a lot of effort though. The communication and HR of this company is some of the worst I've ever seen in any sort of business. I'm still waiting on any sign of life from the company to complete my warranty job; it's been over a month since the gentleman came out to inspect for the job. Do not use this company. read more

Ben provided a timely and complete estimate, was available to answer additional questions, provided us samples and an opportunity to select the roofing materials, comps of other roofs that their company had worked on in our neighborhood, and a clear timeline of what we should expect and by when. They came to fix these things about 3 times and to fix the hair, all they did was take a thumbtack and picked it off the cabinet so there is still an outline from the hair. Between that, getting paint on my very expensive wall paper and my granite counter tops, these were already chipping within the year. However, the communication between them and the production manager was lacking as they constantly thought different things and did not appear to be relaying information to each other. Don't let these people near your home. They paint without prep! In the rain! They are scared of ladders, answering phones, and honoring their warranties. It's basically a con job. They will promise the moon but the people who show up at your house have ZERO interest in anything but getting paid. Most of them have never held a paintbrush in their hands before. I've spent twice the initial cost over the last 5 years fixing what they did to my home. RMP will not fix what they did. Ben will have lovely words of apology and "making it right" but they CANNOT fix painting a house without prep or in the freakin' rain. You just have to wait for the house to peel over the next few years and spot treat. What a nightmare! read more

Do not use this company. Do not believe their sales people when they come to your house. They sold us on the line, "We're not the cheapest, but we provide quality and reliable service." This is not true. The final product was acceptable, but took it took them 9 days of work to finish the project and we don't have a large house. This was due in large part to the crews never showing up on time and the lack of communication. This company has terrible customer service and professionalism. Here are the key reasons you should skip this company at all costs: Communication: Prior to signing and providing a deposit, the company is very responsive. Once we paid the first half, we could never reach the company office. Our voice mails were never returned. At one point I had to drive to their office in downtown Denver to talk with someone. Once there I met the receptionist on the voice mail message. They had clearly been getting our voice mails and ignoring them. Respect for our time: The crews showed up late 8 of the 9 days. We estimated that we wasted over 12 hours waiting for the crews. In one instance they were 4 hours late. We were never contacted ahead of time to let us know they were running late. Quality of work: Because they were routinely late and running behind, their prep work seemed haphazard and negligent. The final product was acceptable, but after the crew stated they were "done," we had over 35 items they missed, damaged or needed to clean. They ripped two of our window screens, damaged our walkway and over-sprayed paint on surfaces that shouldn't be pained (e.g. porch concrete, window frame). Some of the overspray could happen in the natural painting process, but why didn't they clean it without being asked? Do not use this company. If you have put down a deposit already, try to get it back now. We have had two friends recommend Vivax. We wish we had tried them instead. Good luck. read more

Worst customer service ever! We had this company come out and paint our house and deck in September of 2017. While we watched them paint our deck, it was apparent that they were not doing it correctly. They hardly even power sprayed it, then they didn't even do any sanding of the old paint to get it off. They applied a first coat, and then it rained. They didn't even let the rain dry before they applied the second coat. On our contract they were supposed to apply a primer before they laid down the paint. That wasn't even done. A couple days later, I took pictures of the old dark paint showing through, and the bubbling that was starting to happen when the sun was on it in the afternoon and sent it to the project manager. He had them come back the next couple days and paint another coat. They scraped the bubbles that were visible and primed those and repainted those areas. But since they didn't do it correctly from the start, bubbles formed in all different places. We informed the project manager again about these and it took him a week to get back to me. Of course there was no hurry, because my husband had paid them the total amount. So we had not been able to use our deck for 2+ weeks (background, my husband was in a horrible car accident, and was having to take his showers on our deck in a wheelchair, which he couldn't do for those 2+ weeks). The project manager, Tommy, came out with a "specialist" and said the the bubbles were from the previous paint applied, after another week of waiting. So now we were going on three weeks of my husband not being able to shower (we couldn't put the ramp back up or set anything else up on the deck, until they fixed it). After the "specialist" came out we didn't hear from the company for another week, and it wasn't until I contacted them about what was happening and what they were going to do about it, that I actually talked to the project manager. He said with all the wet weather, they couldn't really do anything, and that he wanted to come out and look at it again. Another week went by, so we are a month in a half into this, and he came by to see the bubbling. I told him we just wanted our money back, since it seemed that they couldn't figure out how to fix, and just kept putting us off. He said we don't want to do that, we want to make it right, because it's our company and work behind it. I told him that If I was paying for it, it shouldn't look like I paid my 10 year old to do it. Another couple weeks went by, where if there was any contact, it was me calling them. They continued to come up with excuses. Finally, the project manager said because they were so backed up with the rainy cold weather, they thought it would be best to refund us just the portion of our money that covered the bubbling part of the deck. That was in the middle of October. Have we seen or heard from them? NO. Not unless I call them. I called them right before halloween and their excuse this time, on not having anything for me, was that they have to draft an email, saying it wasn't the application on their half, but the paint that was down before. And that it wouldn't be done until Friday because the person who was going to do the email was out of the office till then. See, more excuses! And how can they say it wasn't their companies application, they didn't do it right from the start. They said they were going to, they give you all these warranties, charge you extra for primer "deck over" that they didn't even use, seem up front and like a great company, but when the crap hits the fan, they just give you the run around, especially since they got their money from us already. So here we sit, the beginning of November, 2 months later, with a deck that looks like I painted it, out the money they charged us, and the run around. I would be very cautious when having this company paint for you. I worry that if we need anything corrected with the paint on our house, through the warranty, it's going to be like pulling teeth. read more

This was the first time I have ever hired someone to do work for me. I usually have the time and would much rather prefer to do it myself. From the start of the project I knew something was wrong after the initial meeting and appraisal where I placed 25% down payment for the project. I had to call the company 4 times over the span of 2 weeks before I could even get an expected start date for the project. Then after giving me a best guess when they would start 2 gentlemen randomly showed up one day and stated that they are going to wash my house. They had ZERO knowledge of my project, what was entailed in the contract and what I had specifically requested be done. After contacting their supervisor I was reassured that they had everything under control. After they started painting things got worse. They refused to prep as their contract described, they used a latex product to fill holes and cracks (where they felt like) and then learned that they had miss quoted me which product they needed to use to paint my house ( was not actually paint but a solid color oil based stain) They they didn't not go back and use the correct products to fill the holes, but instead just sprained the whole house anyway. I bought the workers lunch one day (pizza) and after they were done instead of throwing it in the garbage which is secured for bears, they tossed it in the recycling and they next day a nice family of bears came through and decided to help themselves to the pizza thus creating a larger mess. I allowed the workers into my home to use the bathrooms and they proceeded to make a large mess in my toilet and throw there poop stained toilet paper in the trash next to toilet. ( yes I am highly aware that in many place in the world this is common practice) When they were wrapping up my partner and I voiced many complaints about how the project was being done and the workers were extremely rude stating that "it was supposed to look like that" and "the house was old and siding was terrible" the repeatedly refused to fix mistakes or errors they had made, ( over spray, paint on doors, lack of paint, paint on screens) They even missed the entire top edge on every board on one side of the house. When leaving they were extremely rude demanding payment, which I refused to provide until the project was completed as described in the contract. When I again contacted the office and supervisor to correct the problems I was given the run around, finally the supervisor came to my house to see the project, he agreed that there were many problems and over sights and we scheduled a time to fix the problems ( 9-4-18) since that meeting which was on the 8-17-18 I have no contact with them. They have not called me and my project is still not done. To conclude; my project is still not complete, this company is extremely unorganized, unprofessional, and under qualified to provide even the most basic services. The workers were extremely rude to my partner to the point were she felt unsafe in our home. The supervisors lack any real commitment to your project, and even the front office has no idea what is going on. This year needed a new roof due to hail. They did the initial inspection and assisted me in putting in the claim and meet with the insurance adjuster to go over the damage. It was still snowy so I asked to wait until it warmed up Matt stopped by a few times to get more proof photos requested by the insure company. My insurance company was not to corporative trying to low ball but Rocky Mountain kept on them to make sure the job was complete. I was onsite the two days the job was done and the manager answered all my questions used good high quality materials and put down all new felt and water and ice shield pulled the proper permit and were quick and friendly. My name is April and Rocky Mountain Exteriors does a great job painting my house. I had an issue in the contract in the beginning at first that wasn't properly addressed. After they finished painting the manager did an initial walk through and they touched up the paint and did another walk through. The painters Especially Justin went above and beyond to make sure the house was painted correctly. He even fixed my drain pipe bc it was not draining properly. The contract issue was bc they had stated they could fix my garage side door for the initial amount and they found out later that they could not. I felt the contract had not properly itemized everything out so I knew how much everything cost. I first had an issue with how one of their team members handled it. Matt and Tommy however, were very helpful and made everything right and adjusted the contract to where I was comfortable with it. A classic Bait and Switch! We signed a contract to paint our house in April, 2018. Their sales person measured our home and we made a specific emphasis on the height of our home in back as was an issue for other painters. He assured us it was no problem and they would do the job on time and on budget. A month later when they were to start our project they stated it would be an extra $2500 to complete the job due to the height of our house and refused to honor their contract. They were unethical in bidding the job to win it then adding 30% to the price and refusing to do the job at their contracted price. I had to threaten a lawsuit to get my deposit back which I didn't get until August! read more

Rocky Mountain painting has refused to honor their warranty. I called them in May to look at peeling paint that needed repair. After failing to show up for three appointments their Operations Manager came out once to look at the work. At that time I was told that the work could be done in a couple of weeks. Nobody came back. I called again in July and was told that they were behind and that someone would be scheduled to do the work. On at least four other occasions I have been told that someone would be out. Nobody has come out to do the work and the only explanations I've been offered is that they're really busy, the Operations Manager is gone, and they're having problems in their office. And its not even a lot of work. I can't tell if this is incompetence or some kind of scam. read more

This company ruined my investment I requested "No Subcontractors". Work was performed in Oct 2017 and its already chipping pealing etc. Matt and Ben have been less then helpful in fixing the problem. People showed up with three different names on the paint trucks. Nothing said Rocky mountain painting. They did not prep, they painted dryer vent shut it burned out my dryer, they painted the whole backside of my air-conditioning unit. They got paint all over my white 2017 "vehicle in my garage, they had to replace screens because they were covered in paint as well as my windows. They did not use drop cloths and painted all of my drip lines near the house closed left trash daily. I had to have Sherwin Williams paint General manager out to document that the quality of work was done incorrectly. They painted my expensive steal gutters with wood paint. Working with them proved to be a hassle because they showed up whenever they wanted to, the work was not supervised according to the contract, it took 3 weeks missing the deadline and the was below average. We hired Rocky Mountain Exteriors to paint our kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom and two bedrooms. Our salesman was Jake, who we really liked. He told us they would spackle all the holes and make sure all the prep work was done before painting. We also had a crack in the dining room wall that would be repaired for an additional charge. Jake told us someone would come and look at the crack before the painting day and give us a definite cost for the repair once they had seen it. Our painting start date was several weeks out. As time went by, no one called us about looking at the crack. We called them several times regarding the crack and were assured by Heather in the office that someone would contact us to look at the repair. The week before the paining was to start we once again called Heather about no one coming to see the crack. She had us talk to the foreman for the crew who would be coming out, who assured us that it was no problem and would be fixed on the first day of the painting. On the first day of the job the team that showed up had no idea that there was a crack to be repaired! It was not the team whose foreman we had talked to the week before. We called the office and Jake and got no answer, but left messages. We spent the first two hours with the painters standing by waiting while we tried with the job supervisor to find out why no one knew what was to be done. Finally the job supervisor told us they would have someone come and look at it that day and give us a price for the repair. So the painters started in the bedrooms while we worked from home on the lower level in case we were needed. At the end of the day the lead painter showed us the crack had been repaired. It looked great, even before it was painted. However they never talked to us about it before the work was done! In the end, the crack repair is unbelievably great. You can't tell there ever was a crack. It looks like a new wall - outstanding work! However, this work was done by a drywall guy the painter knew - not Rocky Mountain Exteriors. As far as the paining job is concerned, we were told that where spackling was needed it would be done before painting. It was not. We showed a few places to the lead painter on the second day and he assured us that it was going to be taken care of. We also found after the first day that they had rinsed out their brushes in our bathroom sink - there was paint all over the drain and the sink was filthy! We told the lead painter about it, and he said, "Well, where are we supposed to rinse our brushes?" We suggested either of the two outside hoses, which they did use after that. We did have a final walk-through at the end of the last day and pointed out some places that needed to be touched up, but we did miss several spots where they did not paint, and found paint on our floorboards and places where a drop cloth was not used, as we had paint to clean off our hardwood floors. We have touch-ups to do for all five colors, where they did not paint all the way down. We feel they tell you they will do all the proper steps, but when the painters come they just want to get done as fast as possible, and they cut corners. We have never heard back from Jake, and Heather has not called since the job was completed. read more

Very poor service. Had interior painting done; painters were sloppy and careless. The painters didn't like to use tarps and got paint spots all over my carpet and wood floors. They also marred the finish on my kitchen cabinets with their dirty hands. One painter used a paintbrush with glossy white trim paint on it to do some touching up on the ceiling. The ceiling was painted a white matte finish, so I had to repaint all the shiny spots on the ceiling myself. Their advertising claims that they have great customer service but that is a lie. Owner called me in June about my complaints and said they would fix the problems. I never heard from him again. read more
