Vendor Review I was a vendor here for this month and the previous one. The first time around was super slow, but killed time by talking to other vendors and made a few sales. This month was very different! I was treated poorly by David the market manager, as he was rude when I called him about another vendor taking my spot when there were PLENTY of other spaces, and was told that I would be in the same spot. The other vendors were clearly degrading me and my business the whole time I was there. Nonetheless it was valuable experience to learn that not everyone is going to support you no matter how hard you try. So just a side note to others, keep doing what aligns with your soul and values. No one can take away the love you have for yourself. read more

Great weather at 3rd Monday. So glad they reopened after being closed. We went late Sunday park was less than 1/2 full but those vendors that were set up had some good merchandise. We like to shop the used items, vintage, and antiques. I do hate to see the many dog vendors but those who were there seemed to be caring for the pets with water and rules on handling. About 5 food truck vendors the one we tried was Daddy fry. Not sure if because later on last day but food was not very good. We did find some good valued items as stated last end of day for those who had to pack up. I hope they get more vendors moving forward. read more

I love coming here! It is so great! You never know what you will find. There are tons of different tents, stands and setups. They have food, desserts and drinks available for purchase throughout. Lots of vendors from surrounding counties and states come with their items. There is even a pet alley where you can purchase some purebred pets. From dogs to cats, birds, sugar gliders, too much fun. Kids love it! Precious stones, antiques, gifts, t shirts, hats, collectibles. This only happens once a month so mark your calendars. Make a day of it, bring the family. read more

We signed up as vendors starting in February and have been incredibly please. Every month the crowds get larger and there are now over 200 vendors. The food is awesome too. She was dropping F bombs and cursing like a crazy person, screaming and yelling. I had small children with me and have never witnessed anything like it. I love this place, I drive 4 hours from Oklahoma to go to trade days. I was able to go to the April 2023 trade days. I brought a wagon and it was filled full with an assortment of treasures. I bought jewelry, pottery, metal and ceramic decorative pieces, croc charms, clothing and home made jelly. They have so many vendors, so there is something for everyone. There are food trucks, I had the best brisket breakfast burrito, it was huge and sooo good. Cost is only $5 per car, free on Friday. read more

I absolutely love Trade Days! I've been here twice. Once for some goods, and the second time for my puppy. This place is super organized with vendors in specific areas so you'll definitely find what you are looking for. I like how I can also call on a Wednesday before the days of the market to see what puppy breeds they will be selling ahead of time. That is how I got my little Benji. The woman I talked to and got Benji from was super sweet and professional. She told me what he looked like ahead of time and when I arrived to pick him up, she handed me a goody bag with a toy, a blanket, and a bag of food for him along with his shot records and paperwork. It's been 2 months since I bought Benji and he is still as healthy as ever. I even took him to the vet for his round of checkups and booster shots, and he was definitely healthy. Overall, this place has been amazing the last 2 times I have been here. No complaints at all. read more

I've never been to Canton, but I love this place. It's a great way to kill time doing something different than usual. It doesn't get too crowded (I've been here at different times on different days), but definitely be cautious if it's a hot summer day. They have everything from puppies to Tupperware to furniture. And food of course. The corn dogs aren't my favorite, and the tornado tators/ribbon fries are so crunchy that they're basically chips. At places like this you have to beware of sanitary issues, but if you can deal with that you'll be fine. Overall good family environment! Ps. They close at 5, and some vendors leave or run out of stuff before that so get there early read more

If you're looking to shop for cheaper-than-Home-Goods quality products, you might find something at TMTD. Very few vendors were actually peddling their own crafted goods or skillsets, you might find their booths scattered throughout the market grounds. Plentiful souvenirs can be had if you're shopping for Texas-themed trinkets and collectibles to gift, some cheaper than buying at the airport. Food stands and trucks are available if you need refreshments or need a break from the shopping. Unfortunately the most popular lane in the market is dog alley, where puppies (along with other animals) are being sold off as consumable goods. With the amount of animals in this lane and the extreme temps, I can't imagine these animals remaining healthy for long. #adoptdontshop However, TMTD is better than the garage sale located at the Denton end of 380--unless you go for that sort of flea market. Having been to Canton I like this much better based on the level of crazy. Canton is too spread out and on steroids compared to the McKinney set up. I don't want to walk all day looking for a deal, I'm not that invested in shopping. But I do like to see what kinds of booths people have and take advantage of a deal when I come across one. The set up in McKinney is smaller but very organized. It's closer to home so even if I don't walk away with anything it doesn't feel like a waste. For my $5 parking fee I get inspired by others creativity, I get to pet tons of puppies and the people watching is always entertaining. -Some booths are cash only and others accept credit cards -Lots of food options - think fair food -Bathrooms and ATM's on site read more

NO...go to Canton. Well, I take that back. If you like all the non-vintage-I-make-these-bows/soaps/jewelry/kids items-in-my-home stuff, or you need some Pampered Chef dip mixes and Tupperware--then by all means, this is your stop. It's all the items from Canton that are new. I saw precious few vintage items and they were priced higher than I'm used to seeing. They also have a little dog alley, however it is hot. I felt so sorry for all the little puppies, kittens, bunnies, chickens, etc. They were miserable and not in a healthy situation. Makes me think that some of the folks here do not really care about the well being of their animals. Of course there were some with AC's blowing on them and all. I had an okay time walking around, but if you love Flea Markets, this one is a pass. If you love buying crafts and prefab items, you will enjoy yourself. read more

Wear your closed toe shoes and brows the booths! You can definitely polish your haggling skills here! There is allot to see and it can get really hot so bring cash for the sidewalk vendors. A few places accept credit cards but not allot of the food vendors do. If this place is too rustic for you check out Frisco Mercantile (located on Preston and Main) . It is very similar but indoors (air conditioned) with much less junk. More crafts and antiques but no food. read more

No, this place is not Canton. It's not meant to be. However, for those of you who don't like to rummage in old stuff and just want imported from China sweatshops clothing, knickknacks, and junk.. then I say, stay in Canton. This is what Canton USED to be.. a little bit of old, a little bit of new, a little bit of self-made and a little bit of imported. Yes, Canton has to come up in a review of this, but Canton is a longer drive and overwhelming, with higher prices and some things that should be just thrown away. My wife and I heard good things about this place from a friend, especially that it would have lower prices and good selection. It is smaller, but that makes it much easier to see all of it in a fewer hours. Even if you're browsing and trying not to take home a puppy or two, it's a great place to get ideas for upcycling. My wife found a nice chair to clean up and I found a great price on a pair of used cowboy boots. Sure, prices vary from stall to stall, though some will bargain with you. The food selection could be better, but we were there on a Saturday. Apparently parking is free ($5 otherwise) on Fridays and if you go at 3 or later on Saturdays. read more

Having just moved to the area, I have been nonstop hearing about Canton . . . but this is closer so I thought I would give it a go. While sipping a cherry limeade, we spent a couple of hours checking things out - - some interesting items, some fun and some not so fun, just plain weird. Great people watching and quite a bit of fair type food offered (corn dogs, roasted corn, funnel cake...) Items for sale range from yard art, jewelry, antiques, puppies and so much more...yes, I said puppies. I guess if you are looking for a dog, check it out - I hated seeing all the pooches in cages so if I go back, I will steer clear of that aisle. Worth checking out if you live in the area. read more

A good way to pass the day. I'm used to swampmeets instead of these types of markets, but this place was alright. Everyone is super nice here and they have a lot of vendors here with lots of things for sale. A lot of people sell lots of infant stuff, such as bows and tutus and all that jazz. You can find really good things if you look for them. A guy was selling a solid wood coffee table for $30, but I talked him down to $15. You can find some really good deals if you're willing to look, and are nice about the prices and make them a counter offer. Overall good, definitely been here a few times and will continue to go back every now and then. :) read more

As a non-native Texan this place was fantastic. It reminds me of the state fair back in Minnesota. Tons of buildings and booths, fried food, etc. A lot of the stuff in the barns are amazing but overpriced. We loved an end table but the dude wanted $90. Not terribly expensive, but not flea market pricing either. The booths under the tents had better deals. We didn't find anything, but it was worth a look. This is an interesting mix of flea market, craft vendors, and straight up sales booths. With that mix you'll find some folks who will wheel and deal and others who are firm on their pricing. We normally try to go on a Friday when they have free parking. I know it's only $5 but that's $5 that could buy you a snack or some cool stuff. Our recommendations are to start from the furthest row away, bring some type of rolling cart if you plan to buy a little, and know you can borrow a big cart from the office area (generally in the center of the property). If you go a few times you'll start to learn the vendors, where they are located, and generally what they stock. Then you'll know exactly where to go on future trips. read more

Read lots of reviews about how great this place was and have to saw I was extremely underwhelmed. Very few people selling their own crafts and most people selling what seemed like garage sale leftovers. The worst part was the puppy mill isle. They need to work with the local shelter and have adoption events instead of catering to puppy mill owners and contributing to the pet overpopulation crisis. Walked out without buying a single thing and will never be back. Sad because this place had great potential. read more

Today 3/15/18 was my first trip to the flea market, it was perfect since it was the last day of spring break. The flea market is small, I thought a good mix of homemade, imports, and used (garage sale) type items. I talked to a couple of really friendly vendors and that made the trip much worth while. I don't think selling pets should be allowed, to many problems with breeders over breeding and dogs not vaccinated. (Not sure if I plan to go back, it was far for me) The only problem was parking and exiting out on a busy street. It is a fraction of Canton trade days, but that has got over commercialized. read more

Third Monday Trade Day is SO underrated! It's a bummer that they only open every third weekend of the month (Friday- Sunday). It a fun and crafty outdoor market with full of vintage artworks and furniture. I really enjoy coming here to support the local businesses and shop around for seasonal home décor, clothes, etc. Most of the stores accept credit cards so cash isn't really needed. The market even has dog vendors that are selling puppies and food trucks that are selling carnival food (corn dog, donuts, corn, cold beverages, etc). This definitely has to be my family's favorite activity here in McKinney! For over 7 years, we have gone to it every month that it is open. The booths have great finds at prices far cheaper than any retail location. The food is always yummy - not healthy by any means, but SO delicious! My kids particularly like the ice cream lady, the pet aisle, and the pony rides! I like the shopping for clothing and home items myself - you will have a smile on your face the whole time if you go here! Try it! read more
