Have really tried to like this place.. as i grew up here and while its changes looks and locations it has been a staple in mckinney for many years. Just every interaction with them ends up being tremendously disappointed and even rude and stand offish. Today i was told by one of the main folks there, after stringing me along for several Weeks telling me she and other merchants were interested in purchasing some vintage/antiqua items iI have for m sale, that "she was going to purchase however she didnt want to have to deal with someone like me" .. unsure what thats supposed to mean. Maybe she meant I actually follow up with people when I say Im going to. Had the same exact experience on 2 other occasions when wanting to purchase an item; and then when I tried renting a booth and becoming a vendor. ZERO follow through. Always seem to have attitude as if they are above others Prob my LAST time to deal with them. Plenty of other good places that treat their customers WAY better. read more

This is my favorite place to roam free and saunter in the aisles looking at antiques and vintage goods for a good hour or more. Antique Company Mall absolutely hands down has the best layout, nice and clean booths and nothing is over-stuffed into the booths. Everything is just right and laid out in such a manner that you can walk into the booths and shop which is appreciated! The staff is friendly and helpful. Of course, I picked ip the one item without a price and the nice girl at the front called the vendor and got a price for me. They will also hold your found items at the front so you don't have to carry them around. My only recommendation is that sellers should put prices on items so they are a bit more visible, especially if they are up high or are heavy items. So many heavy things, I had to pick up and look at the bottom of the item for a price. I can handle the lifting, it just seems to be a liability to have so many people lifting items to find prices. This is my 10/10 Antique Mall that I visit monthly. Definitely a priority visit if you're visiting Mckinney!! read more

You could spend dozens of hours wending through the tightly packed stalls of this antique company mall. Visiting here took me right down memory lane. It seemed like they had every single piece of kitchenware or houseware that was popular in the 70s, 80s or 90s. Every time I turned around I saw a Christmas decoration or mixing bowl or painting that I remembered from my childhood. There are literally thousands of collectibles: little curios, knickknacks, jewelry, home decor, pillows, books, you name it. The owner must be a collector of owls. Look carefully, and you will see little owl collectible items scattered throughout the entire massive store. I was very happy to find a teacup that matched a set I have at home. My teacup had broken and the pattern had been discontinued in 2004. Overall, a very pleasurable way to spend an afternoon. read more

This is our very favorite antique shop in McKinney. It has been in business and we love it just the way it is....chock full of antiques in well curated booths with reasonable prices. Do not ever change please! Many of the antique shops nearby have gone away to be replaced with retail establishments that don't have many affordable items. I go to Antique Company for my hunting and gathering fix. I love to look at every item as I wonder through each aisle. One of our stops on a Saturday day trip to McKinney. Welcomed by smiling and friendly staff, prices seemed really reasonable and fair. It was actually an Antique Mall that had antiques, not just a bunch of booths with reproduction pieces made to let you think they're old. Bought some things for family while I was there & of course picked up a really cool HotWheel car for a Buck. If you're visiting from out of town it's a great spot to enjoy. My daughters and I love this place, it is bright and charming. The booths are neatly displayed and well organized. There is always a good selection of items and well priced. The staff is always very helpful. Downtown McKinney is one of the nicest downtown areas, with many shops and photo opportunities. There is not many restaurants to choose from though, so we eat elsewhere. We drive 1 1/2 hour just to make a trip every couple of months. read more

Lots of stuff to look at but the prices are the highest I've ever seen in 20 years at an antique mall. The store is absolutely ludicrous! I have been to antique stores all around the state of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana and I have never seen this before. I've been in Fredericksburg where the prices are extremely high and still they do not match this place. I can find a lot of antiques displayed in this store at 20 to 40% less and in certain cases 60+ percent less then the retail tag price. My wife and I love to antique shop but I think it's time to leave this town when it comes to antique shopping and move on to the next town. read more

This place is pretty cool. A couple of the booths have overpriced items (you know who you are) but the majority are fairly priced. Lots of square footage to shop. I've found many treasures here. Photo includes an antique door knob plate that goes perfectly with my GMom's glass knob. Also got an adorable blue Fenton hobnail glass vase. I purchase an item from a dishonest seller who has a booth in this store & thought you should know about it. Her name is Brenda Watson. Her husband's name is Charles. I don't know if he has anything to do with her online or store sales though. She sold me an item through Facebook Market Place advertising your store & her booth there. She showed me a picture of a dog statue & it had a price sticker & some tape on the top of the base. I purchased it & when I got it home the price sticker had been removed & there was damage to the paint on the piece....it was bubbled & missing in some spots. Brenda knew full well that it was damaged because she either put the price sticker over the damage to try to hide it or she took off the price sticker & caused the damage but decided to sell it to me anyway & not disclose the information. I messaged her & asked why she had not disclosed the damage & she said "Sorry, do you want to return it?" I said no, because I really didn't feel like driving all the way across town & wasting my gas due to her error. If you buy from Facebook Marketplace or from her booth at this store WATCH OUT! read more

I have been a customer of the Antique Company Mall for almost 20 years and it is hands down, my FAVORITE, go-to local antique mall in our area! Just browsing the isles gives inspiration and I've purchased many items for both my home staging business and personal enjoyment. I have had the pleasure of getting to know many of the vendors and staff over the years and can easily call or text one if I'm in the market for an item and they can see if they have it, it's so nice to have that resource! I also manage an Airbnb close to the square and most recently during a storm, the power went out for almost 24 hours at our home and our guests needed a place to safely charge their cell phones. I contacted one of the owners of ACM, Karen Ferrell to see if their power was out just to share with my guests that the square may have power so they can go there for the day. I explained the situation and Karen was quick to ask what they could do to help them and then I asked if they could let them charge the phones behind the register while they browsed and she immediately said yes! without a question! My guests loved the store and were taken care of by this wonderful shop, it's what makes small towns like downtown McKinney and the shop keepers so wonderful. My favorite store in downtown McKinney! I always find something special and unique here. The stock always changes and you just never know what treasures you'll find. And the staff is so helpful! We asked a girl up front named Bri if she could help us find a large wooden ice cream bucket with a handle to create a planter. She went above and beyond and pointed out several pieces throughout the store. We ended up buying a couple of things and one item wouldn't fit in our car and they happily held it until we could come back later in the day with our truck. I go here regularly. I typically find a few things to purchase through out the store. Most of the vendors have nice items, however some way overpriced. Then you have a bunch of them that are not even antique items but modern things. However the people who work here are just extremely rude. If you can't be civil then don't work in public! First of all, if it was possible for me to give this place less than a star, I most certainly would. A couple of days ago I found a piece of furniture and wanted to buy it. It turned out that the piece was under our neighbor's booth, so we were offered a lesser price from her. The store was so busy and was about to close, so we offered to come back and pay for it later. The young man working with us told us that it was okay and he would put the piece on hold for me. When we came back to pay for it, the salesperson said that they had sold it to someone else because we had surpassed the "24 hour hold". Not only that, but she made a snide comment of saying "AND we sold it for FULL price." Confused, I called the dealer and she told me that she went in the morning after we put the item on hold and my name wasn't on it in the first place. She also claimed that she sold it THAT morning. So, I also went down to the store to figure out why my name was never on the furniture in the first place, and they just made petty excuses. Not only did these people lie to my face, (they did NOT hold the item for 24 hours) but they went on to tell me that the young man that helped me was in training and that he didn't know what he was doing and made a mistake. They also said that their "24-hour hold" was just a saying, and that it REALLY meant until the end of the business day. A) If the guy was in training and new, why would he be manning the register by himself? and B) DO NOT CALL IT A 24 HOLD IF IT'S NOT A 24 HOUR HOLD. Communicate your policy the way it really is. When I asked the what they were going to do for me about the mistake that they had made, (which took them a while to admit) all they could say to me was "sorry". These people have wasted my time and gave me the run-around. I am a businesswoman and if I were to handle this situation with a simple "sorry", it wouldn't slide. Not only do these people lack integrity, but they are also disorganized and very unprofessional. If you're looking for a way to waste your time, this is the place to go. If not, be smart and go somewhere else. read more

I had always been curious to go in this shop in the past and finally had a chance on Saturday. Some Interesting items-some very overpriced. However the random employee wandering up to my adult son and I asking if we heard something break was a bit odd. We told her no, we hadn't heard anything. So then she commented that maybe it was something downstairs. Ummm, ok. Perhaps so. But she kept standing there and again mentioned she thought she heard something break. At this point I was beginning to think she was accusing us of breaking something and not fessing up to it. She finally walked off and my son and I walked up the aisle a few feet...but here she comes again. This time from a different direction and asked if she could take down the posters my son was holding that he purchased at another shop. We informed her that those were already purchased and at that point I had enough of this accusatory employee. We won't be back. It was all very strange. read more

Honestly, this place is one of the things I miss most about Texas (well, that and good Tex Mex). I imagine the old metal garden chairs they used to have on their front porch and get really homesick. My husband and I used to love coming to McKinney on Saturdays and spending all day browsing. This was one of my favorite destinations. There is so much to choose from, like an old fashioned general store/emporium. I used to love looking through the selection of magazines and print material. At the time, I was very into scrapbooking, so I was always on the lookout for goodies for my scrapping. I also found some neat old sheet music here that I had professionally framed for our guest bedroom, and it came out beautifully. When my husband accidentally ruined my cast iron skillet by letting it sit in the kitchen sink with water in it, I found a replacement here, along with a great cornstick pan. I also found one or two great old suitcases that I covered with those vintage travel stickers for famous hotels. I stacked them and used them as a side table for the guest bedroom. My wife and I have shopped here many times and spent a good deal of money in the process. The employees are friendly and helpful...until 30 minutes before closing then they start pushing you out the door. In fact, just last night my friend stepped out to check the weather 15 minutes before closing and was locked out. I was told no less than 5 times, "We close in 15 minutes." No shit. You are only the 5th person to tell me that. Oh, by the way. I have $200 worth of merchandise that I'm purchasing. If closing time is 5:30 then be open and available to your customers until 5:30. No one is telling you when to close. You tell us...so keep your word and be open until you close. Rude to customers near closing time. read more

Awesome antique mall with TRUE VINTAGE ANTIQUE items! I found the prices fair and the merchandise quality. Don't miss heading upstairs for the best stuff! I love all the cool quilts, amazing pieces of Americana, vintage toys, and soon all the vintage Christmas! This is a classic emporium style antique store crammed full of antiques, vintage items, some locally crafted stuff and things left over at a garage sale. Most of the booths are pretty good, particularly on the first floor. The second floor is more of a mix of things and can have a bit of a flea market quality to it. Still, that's the nature of this kind of shopping. There is one booth that specializes in the antique style oscillating fans. By and large, most of the things look like collectibles of all sorts. If you collect that particular thing, you will feel that you have hit the jackpot. If not, well.... you never know what you will find. read more

My family shops here regularly, we spend thousands of dollars. But I swear there must be a requirement to be extremely rude if you want a job here. All of these women act so irritated and snotty. I own multiple boutiques and would never ever dream of treating my customers this way. Especially some of my most loyal ones. What a fun shopping experience! We could have gone browsing for hours, lost in the great finds and cool items. A lot of the items are from local artisans (I purchased a mason jar mug made by a Texas artist) and a lot of the items are true antiques, but everything is very reasonably priced. The inventory ranges from rustic/eclectic artsy (the mason jars, burlap signage, lamps made from old globes) to things you might find in a thrift store (used Beanie Babies, old VHS tapes, costume jewelry, yearbook photos). People will know when you're going to the restroom because you have to carry a large metal bolt with the key attached to it (more than a few people commented when we walked by with the restroom key). My husband and I loved this store until we bought a mantel for $350 and they did not pull the mantel out of the corner until we paid to inspect the construction. Then when we were carrying it to our truck without any jolts it broke. When we went in to have a conversation - the woman just looked at me without any empathy and said sorry no refunds and no exchanges.
