So glad I was finally able to make it to this coffee shop this past week! I came by for a meeting related to my fieldwork/internship and am so glad we got out of the office and came here! I had been sick the couple days leading up to being here with zero appetite but had my first real meal here and will definitely be back for more. My friend and I both had veggie sandwiches which were amazing! She got hers with a cup of minestrone soup which looked and smelled delish. I had a side of chips, because I knew I couldn't finish both a soup and sandwich then. I hope to go back soon and try some of their pastries and coffee (they posted a Cinnamon Toast Crunch muffin that I'm dying to try)! The space was amazing. I loved all the rustic decor and the sliding barn door on the bathroom. Randomly picked 'Third Space Coffee' on our way to Basehor. Very impressed with the location (downtown Bonner Springs), the atmosphere, plenty of room and older vintage building. Very busy and waited in line for 7 minutes. There were only two younger ladies working and asked if this was normal and she replied not at all for a weekday. The tennis tournament in town was delayed due to the weather which brought in a mass of customers. Under the circumstance, these ladies performed their jobs exceptionally well. My hot oat latte was hot and very good. My better half had tea which she stated was very good. Our muffins were fresh and tasty as well. I'd previously written a glowing review. The food here has been great and the coffee has always been good. However, my experience today negates that. I want to preface this saying that I was refunded for the mistake of the staff, however I'm still not happy. I'm not being a Karen, however. I'm honestly sad. I thought we had found our coffee place, the perfect coffee place. It's quiet, never super busy, and everything had been great until this point. So today we go to get coffee and breakfast, place the order, come back to the car to wait. Go in and the order had been placed on a table for us to pick up. Get in the car and run another errand and come home to sit down for breakfast. I should've checked the order: I REALLY SHOULD HAVE. That's my mess up. There was only one box but we figured it had both Breakfast bites in them. NOPE. Imagine sitting down for breakfast and your food not being there. Again, yes I should've checked. However...really? Again they weren't busy. They had been open for 20 minutes. Not a lot of traffic AT ALL. So I call. I believe Harper is who I talked to. I explained what happened. I was in no way bitchy just an fyi. She told me that it wasn't on the receipt....as I'm looking at the receipt that clearly states it is. Then told me that it didn't come up on the kitchens order screen. Now this could have been the first time that's happened...seems Convenient right? So I get the typical "I can make it if you are close," and then the "I'll refund you." I accepted this. Still irks me. Failing to double check that you correctly offered a service is on you. General knowledge of customer service says your customer should never have to get an attitude in order to feel valued. If you make a mistake, you do anything you can to fix it. Being a small business I'd assume you'd want to keep your customers coming back. There wasn't even an apology, or an offer to make up for the mess up. I'm not saying she should've offered to comp everything, (again, not a Karen) I'm saying she should have apologized, refunded, and offered to give an incentive beyond that. Like, "I'm sorry, next time you come in We'll give you a free coffee or a Muffin." That's good business. Even if you upset a customer, they will eventually come in to get whatever free service it is, and if there is a pleasant experience, you've likely gained them as a repeat customer. The customer will respect the fact you make it right. So we decide we will split the food we got. WELLLLLLLL guess what! Typically their breakfast potatoes are in their own container and they we thrown all together with my sandwich. Not a huge deal...they get soggy that way, but uhm... yeah.. they were BURNT (I've attached a picture). Thought I found an awesome spot, and that was ruined by lack of good customer service, after receiving poor service. We always try to support small businesses vs corporations. DISCLAIMER: No I didn't call about the potatoes, because after calling and how it was handled I was already upset. If forgetting an order didn't matter, burnt potatoes wouldn't have either. I didn't want to ride the line of being a Karen. read more

My wife and I stopped in for coffee and a small bite for breakfast. The atmosphere is a Friendly and inviting farmhouse feel. They offer a variety of different breakfast food options from sandwiches to pastries. And on the drink side all your different coffee options plus smoothies. I had the sausage, egg, and cheese Sammy on wheat and it was FANTASTIC! my wife got the cinnamon roll and peach smoothie which she really enjoyed! If your in Bonner springs it's a must stop for anyone looking for great coffee or smoothies, someone who's hungry or anyone looking to rest there feet after walking the shops on oak st. They have a great menu to compliment the coffee amazing atmosphere and the employees all have good attitudes. My recommendation is the ham and cheese sandwich with a cup of green chili soup. If you looking for something a little different try the turkey and avocado you'll be hard pressed to find a better sandwich in a 10 mile radius. Always confused why the line takes SO LONG? Do they not notice that people are walking out because they are slow, or do they not care. Love the Bonner brew, but really could work on customer service...it's frustrating to see employees talking to each other behind the counter (and not working) when there is no movement in the line. Definitely room for improvement but overall cute and good coffee. read more

We were just passing through and stopped for a quick coffee. We ended up having to wait behind a large party which turned out to be a good thing! We ended up ordering g the toast with cashew butter, bananas and honey. So fantastic!! We grabbed our cold brew and it was amazing!! You could actually taste the coffee and it was smooth and flavorful. It was the best coffee I have found anywhere! I sure wish we had this place in Colorado!!! read more

This place is the cutest coffee shop and such a hidden gem!!!!! They have great flavors and they are not too sweet. I ordered the pumpkin bisque soup after a recommendation and it was AMAZING. I ordered to go and I had to wait, only about 10 minutes ish, but when they called my name for my soup they apologized for the wait and gave me an extra bowl! Great coffee, great soup, kind people. I always recommend this place to people I know so I figured I should just go ahead and write a review. High quality items Cozy atmosphere I come for the sandwiches. You can pay an extra dollar and upgrade to a croissant - do it. I dream about these sandwiches to give you an idea of what I'm talking about. On Saturdays in late spring thru early fall there's a farmer's market in the back parking lot with amazing quality and prices (not part of 3rd Space, but knowing you can get a nice lunch/breakfast AND pick up fresh groceries is worth noting). There's a cute, conference room that your group can reserve for free if it's not in use. Last thing I'll say because I don't know how to describe it, but this is one of those places where people are just happy to be there. You go and you're literally just surrounded by a bunch of customers, employees, humans that are genuinely just kind and content. We need more places like this. Check it out if you agree. read more

We were just passing through the area and took a chance on this place for breakfast. The food was delicious, the latte was amazing (and pretty!), and everyone in our family of 5 (including 3 kids 6 and under) were happy. Very kid friendly. This place is pretty good, but if you're in a hurry don't stop. Both times I've been in they take forever to even say hi... Coffee is decent though. Have not tried the food. read more
