Relaxing in a hammock reading my book

Wyandotte County, (Argentine) area is where you will find Grounded Soul Coffeehouse. I visit this coffee shop frequently as I have grown up in this area of Argentine all of my life. Barefoot Mission that runs Grounded Sole Coffeehouse was founded on the beliefs. "The holy happens when we show up-fully present, for those around us". Coffee is amazing from frappe's to cold brew to specialty drinks. They have a limited menu of food items. They have a shelf full of games for you to play or relaxing in a hammock while reading a book. This is a very cute coffee shop with a nice atmosphere.

I was coming back from a job and found this coffee shop through a search. It is a super cute little place. There is a large conference room in the back I believe that you can rent out. Coffee was quick to come out and flavors were really good. If I am back in the area I will definitely check it out.

Grounded Sole is a not for profit coffeehouse that is ran by and supports The Barefoot Mission. An organization that assists in many ways to re-invest in people in urban locations. Always in search of new coffeehouses, my wife and I made the drive from the Northland to the often overlooked and neglected Argentine neighborhood of south central Kansas City, KS. The space is absolutely delightful in it's renovation of an old rundown building on Argentines main drag - Strong Ave. We ordered and found a seat and almost immediately were joined by a lovely couple that had also driven an equal distance from the south suburbs to support Grounded Sole. My cortado and my wife's espresso were wonderful. Great product for a great cause. Warm and inviting ambiance. Great conversations with nice folks. I wish all of my coffeeshop experiences were as perfect.

Such a cute little hidden coffee place. Went on a Friday morning so it was extremely slow but they were so nice and welcoming! I got their "local dream" drink which is a lavender white mocha and it was perfect! Not too much lavender flavoring. Will definitely be coming again for coffee or when wanting to work remotely.

Got the Steve Meyer coffee, vanilla scone, chorizo burrito and quiche. All were very delicious! Service was very polite. The atmosphere was very peaceful. There's something about this place that feels different from other coffee shops I've been to. Can't explain it, you just have to go for yourself. I can see myself becoming a regular there.

Want to enjoy a coffee shop that has a great atmosphere and great coffee/tea? Visit Grounded Sole! I come here roughly once per month and every time is an experience I enjoy. They have a great drink variety, seasonals, syrups, milk subs, teas, pastry items, and recently added some food items to the menu as well, like a chorizo burrito and quiche. They have a private room you can reserve or they have couches, chairs, and comfy tables in a welcoming environment. The heart the employees and owners have shown shines through in their work for bringing the coffee shop to the community and their mission. Give them a try and bring a friend!

It's been said that coffee is a hug in a mug. Clearly the original quote was about Grounded Sole. This NEW coffee shop in the Argentine neighborhood of KCK has a beautiful space and a beautiful mission. They aim to be a space that welcomes all, knows customers by name, uses resources to serve the community, and to be a place where joy is felt and kindness is offered. With tons of space for seating and meeting, boho decor, steamers, smoothies, snacks, and of course lots of coffee, Grounded Sole is next on your list for a coffee date destination. Pro Tip: Ask the barista to make your their favorite drink, and you will not be disappointed.

In the heart of the Argentine neighborhood!

Stop me if you've heard this before: a small business whose purpose is simply giving back. Oh, wait, you don't hear that much? You mean most businesses operate in order to make a buck? Yeah, not this one, well, not for themselves. Grounded Sole is right in the heart of the Argentine area of KCK, and let's call it what it is: ain't a lot of gathering places or Starbucks in the area. That's fine, because those are a dime a dozen, and they really don't churn out anything special or noteworthy and besides, who wants to constantly reinvent themselves in the market just to try to sell the same thing? Sure, Grounded Sole is serving coffee drinks and other accoutrements. (Pro tip: try a donut) But what they are really *serving* is the purpose of Barefoot Mission, the wishes of those who call Argentine their home, & the open hearts of those love to give back but sometimes don't have all the right recipients. If your community cries out for a gathering spot and you are able to answer that call, then you are doing the work of those with a higher calling. I asked for a brief rundown on the how/why Grounded Sole came to be and *wow* do they love to talk about their intentions. All of the staff is essentially volunteer, including donations of contractor and architectural efforts, and given the purpose of Grounded Sole, it's easy to see how people would want to contribute their time and energy. I'm not even from KCK and I would sign up in a heartbeat to be a part of this positive, mission-driven destination just to feel like my servant heart could be heard. I am 100% positive there are many who would feel the same way. There is gracious plenty seating, and comfortable seating at that, and that volunteer force has turned this old building into an exceptionally inviting space. Messenger coffee scents fill the room with the comforting aroma of a kaffehaus with the gentle murmur of quiet conversation providing the soundtrack. Park on the street, or around the side, or if you're lucky enough to be a local community member, walk on in. You'll be glad you did.

They carry messenger coffee so if you enjoy their coffee you'll be fine. The women working were welcoming and friendly. They were not busy yet when I seemed to be contemplating when I was told what was on drip they made no suggestions as to what was worth trying. The space was super cute and seemed inviting.

I had been wanting to try out this coffee shop for quite a while, I was out this morning and…read moredecided to swing by and try it out. I have been to over 100 coffee shops in our area so far and I will say, that I absolutely loved this coffee shop, and I would rate it in the top three of my favorites! Today I tried a hot London fog with oat milk and it was perfect. I also had a gluten-free blueberry muffin, which was also good. My husband joined me a little while later and he had two of their chorizo burritos which were large and very tasty as well as the salsa that goes along with them. He had a black tea with raspberry syrup and he said that was very good as well. The service was excellent, and they were very nice and friendly to every person that came in and it was quite obvious that there were many regulars. Even though this was my first time I felt like I had been a regular. The ambience is one of the best things about it because it is peaceful, friendly, relaxing, and combined with the excellent service it makes you want to linger and come back immediately. It is located in the small town of Turner, and it has that small town, friendly vibe. My father was a long time resident of Turner so I'm familiar with the area. It has a lovely patio in the back that is peaceful and filled with bird song. They have the burritos available for Saturday and Sunday, from what the sign says. They also had some other lunch specials. They have some reading materials and also some free reading materials for children. I will definitely be back. They are shining the Light in the community and beyond.
