    Young Blood fruity flavored beer(?)

Really nice and local location, friendly and helpful staff and there was mellow live music on top of the structure as well. I liked the patio lights, it was a little difficult to find a spot to sit, but not impossible. We aren't really beer people, so we ordered a really yummy cider-like flavor from Young Blood Brewing. It wasn't listed on the menu and staff didn't know what it was called. There weren't many other non-beer options beyond that. Many other beer gardens in Milwaukee provide these glass cups, this place only has plastic which feels wasteful. We brought our own beer garden cups. The only reason I give it a three star review is that all the tables were absolutely covered in bird poop. That didn't really stop anyone, including me, but it did make me pause and feel a little gross.

Nice new pop-up beer garden! Beer is served out of a retrofitted shipping container, and musicians regularly perform on top! Plenty of tables to post up with your crew or to make new friends. I've also seen local residents bringing their collapsable chairs to enjoy the music, read a book, enjoy a beer. Beer selection is local and a good variety. Check it out, 2023!

Opening night of the Third Ward Beer Garden at Catalano Square!

It's great to see another beer garden open in Milwaukee and especially in the Third Ward! Catalano Square is a fun space that I've attended several events at before and now there's a good excuse to visit all summer long. It's a container bar on the grass in the park that serves craft beers, wine, and more. Not during my visit, but they plan to offer live music a few times per week. There's a lot of picnic table seating throughout and the semicircle step-seating where the tree is placed in the winter makes for even more spots to sit. I'm looking forward to future outings to this beer garden - either with friends or coworkers, given our office is just a few blocks away!

The beer garden, located off 3rd street next to the loaded slate, features picnic tables in front of a huge 26 foot screen. a plexiglas roof up above let's you see the sky but keeps out the elements (I watched one of the first round games during a downpour and was just fine). You dont have to buy - so it's free but if you buy a drink at the actual "beer garden" stand, theres free popcorn with your purchase. Theres also various drink and food stands .. auntie Annie's has a pretzel truck and lots of people were bringing pizza from Brick 3 on 3rd st. Security (you'll see them in bright yellow vests) has done a good job letting everyone have a good time but taking care of problems (dont be8 standing on the picnic tables please.) I've only watched away games here but walking through the area to go into the forum for game 1 of the semi finals I could tell the energy would be crazy there even for home games. it's a great option if you dont have a ticket. It does truly feel like "Milwaukees living room" The tables are communal - you'll definitely make some new friends, and the energy is just off the charts. I love how all eyes are on the tv and everyone will start chanting "MVP" or "DE-FENCE" like were actually at the game. Bango, the dancers, the drum line and other members of the bucks crew usually make an appearance on a final side note....Over 15 years ago I lamented the tearing down of the old Park East freeway and my easy freeway access....it took over 15 years, but the promise and potential of this part of the city and downtown is finally starting to be fulfilled with the Deer District. Get here and experience it for yourself!

We parked in a little cul de sac just outside the park and wandered up to the beer garden. It was a BEAUTIFUL sunshiney November day with surprisingly warm weather. Despite this, it was pretty quiet here, making me think Hubbard Park Beer Garden may still be one of MKE's best kept secret. We were greeted by picnic tables and igloos scattered among the trees and fall leaves. We ordered at a little walk-up cabin window. The staff working was pleasant, welcoming, and explained that we are given a chip with our steins of beer, and once returned we receive $5! This was a great way to encourage everyone to return the steins and clean up after themselves to keep the park clean. They were all out of cider so I went with a spotted cow, a Wisconsin favorite. This was my first time trying out spotted cow and I have to say, I understand the hype now. I ordered the soft pretzel as well which was delicious! We sat at a picnic table with the pups and enjoyed one of our last warmer days outside before winter hits. It was a perfect afternoon here at Hubbard Park, and I hope to back next fall!

The setup was in a different area and there were NO 6 foot tables set up when we got there. Pushing 2 small tables together on the other side of the room was not what we paid for! I tried talking to the manager John Wynne a week after the event and all he did was make excuses! I planned the party from out of town and sadly the vision I had was not what was promised! A small token would have been nice but we were not offered anything! We attended such an evening where the proceeds from our pints were supporting Islands of Brilliance, a local nonprofit offering creative programs for autistic and other neurodivergent students. My beer buddy and I both ordered their peanut butter brilliance and enjoyed it in their tap room/brewery. There's plenty of seating so even on a bustling Friday evening we were able to get our beers right away and find a spot to enjoy them. Love this spot and while it's a little more magical in the summer months when you can enjoy the outdoors, it's a great oasis in the colder months as well. Get to it!
