The Greek Freak Sausage (gyro flavors) in a pita with feta, olives, peppers, tzatziki. Served with fresh Parmesan Fries.

Breakfast at the Brat House? Why not. Ok, it was a late breakfast around 10:30 on a Saturday. I wanted to just get a simple brat sandwich but the Greek Freak Gyro Sausage Sandwich just sounded too good to pass up (Greek Brat PITA sounds like an urban dictionary term though). The sausage was a nice mix of Gyro flavors and sausage-y texture. It was dressed like a gyro (pita, onions, olives, feta, tzatziki) and delicious! The sausage came with a lot of fries too, way too many for me but glad they don't skimp. The parmesan fries were excellent and fresh, but probably the first batch of the day! Service at the bar was OK as they were still kinda setting up for the day when I was there. Had to wait for soda pop refills. I'd go back just to try some of their regular brats with a beer or two (or three or four). Good spot and it was hoppin' the night before when I walked by on my way back to the hotel from Mader's.

Southsider brat and the Lakefront IPA Beer Cheese Soup

Loved it. Thought it was a restaurant, but it is a bar that had no lights on in the afternoon so basically a typical watering hall. I had their famous beer cheese soup, which was out of this world. I also had the southsider brought sandwich, which was delicious. The service was good. I would definitely go back to try more of the brought sandwiches and some of the other appetizers.

Eleven and a half years later, I've been back and it's still very good. This time we got the Wisconsin burger and a rueben bratwurst. The bratwurst was really good; I might get that for myself if I visit again. It's too bad they don't still offer their burger with the bratwurst on top, since that's a more uncommon burger than you tend to see. When I came in it was loud and obnoxious and the bartender overlooked me to first wait on someone else, which was not cool. I wouldn't want to eat here when it's loud and rowdy, unless I was eating outside since they had ten or so tables on the sidewalk. There's no dedicated parking at this location, just street parking around the area if you can find it. A few blocks down there are a couple of parking lots though I'm not sure if the cost of parking would be justified by eating here.

Love the dive bar feel. Stooped in before a Bucks game. Food was quick and hit the spot. Service was outstanding, attentive and prompt. Big pretzel was a good starter for a group of 6. All the brats were amazing including the rueben brat. This place is a recommended destination before a game.

Portions are generous, especially with the cheese curds. The brat was well cooked, but had more onions than I prefer. Good location and is walking distance to Fiserv Forum. Lighting is a little dark, so it might be hard to see the menu. Service is ok, nothing wrong with it but nothing memorable.

Nice location with very friendly and attentive staff! I had the cheese curds, cheese soup, and a brat everything was absolutely delicious. I came on a weekday early afternoon so it wasn't busy. They had plenty of open seats and the bar was also avail for seating. I highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area or even locals looking for authentic, tasty, local food. An excellent stop on your travels.

Great time at the Brat House! Seating was first come first serve. We had to wait a few minutes but found a table. We were able to easily get a drink while we waited for a table in the outside bar. Walking distance to Fiserv. Service was friendly and fast and it was busy ! Ordered giant pretzel and cheese curds - they were both delicious!!

Service was good once I was able to get someone's attention at this seat yourself bar/restaurant. My spouse ordered a simple brat with Parmesan fries and I ordered grilled chicken sandwich with tots. We were both happy with our food. My grilled chicken was tender, juicy and flavorful. My spouse ate his brat blain with its pretzel bun and said it was great. My only quirky request is the option for real silverware. The tables only provided a plastic fork wrapped in a napkin.

Best brat I've ever had. Smothered in kraut and onions, flavorful and hot with a delicious pretzel bun. Local pub ambience. Service was fast. Beers were cold, with a good variety on tap.

Fried Cheese Curds are not bad. I am trying to watch my figure so that is all I ordered. This is a bar for sport watching.

The photo in this review is called smaller but it is actually normal size of 4 different kinds. It's a lot of food but really tasty. The service is great and you can down this with a great German draft

Downstairs is for casual dining, upstairs is for the bar. If you can't find seating downstairs, prepare for loud music and crowds upstairs. We came here because we had heard that they had really good cheese curds. They were average, based on the few variations our party had tried. Service took really long. One of our burgers was missing from our initial order and it took another 30 minutes for it to come out. By that time we had all finished. If you like the pub and bar vibes and want to try cheese curds, Milwaukee Brat House gets the job done but it's not exceptional.

The onion rings were extra, but extra good. Light batter, extra crispy onions....

I surprisingly don't have many options in my "MKE - Fish Fry" collection that are near downtown, but Swinging Door Exchange was one of them. I was pressed for time, so I placed a to go order rather than dining in. I got the combo fish fry (two pieces of cod, two pieces of perch, and three fried shrimp) with potato pancakes. I was also very easily talked into the half rack rib appetizer. The ribs were good, even though I prefer sauce that's more sweet and smokey. Their sauce was on the tangy side with a tease of spice that really only became noticeable when the majority of the half rack was gone. If I were in the mood for ribs as my main meal, I'd consider getting theirs as an entree. The two potato pancakes weren't homemade; instead, they were premade hash brown patties that some other restaurants also serve with their fish frys. These were perfectly acceptable in lieu of homemade pancakes. The cod tasted great, but the breading didn't hold up very well. Either the fish itself was too wet or the two block walk back to my car allowed for condensation to wreck it or possibly both. The perch was not yellow lake perch but probably something like pike perch. Even though both kinds of fish and the shrimp were all good sized portions, $29 feels like a lot. I wouldn't say no to it, though, if I were dining in next time and avoid the extra cost of their takeout fee. Shout-out to the bartenders working that night. The bar area was absolutely packed, but both of the ones I talked to about placing my order were friendly and helpful even with being super busy.
