It was a busy location, which is always a good sign, but the service kept things moving. The giant pretzel was excellent--crispy on the outside with just the right amount of salt and perfectly soft on the inside. The variety of dipping sauces made it even better. The cheese curds were also delicious and are a must-try if you're visiting Wisconsin. The bratwurst was very good and full of flavor. Brat House is a MKE staple in my opinion. Creative menu with tons of different sausage options, fun drinks, and quick service. The lunchbox shot is must when visiting. One fun thing this place offers is coach busses (buy a ticket) to the Packer games up in GB, which comes with all you can drink on the bus and access to a pregame party. Breakfast at the Brat House? Why not. Ok, it was a late breakfast around 10:30 on a Saturday. I wanted to just get a simple brat sandwich but the Greek Freak Gyro Sausage Sandwich just sounded too good to pass up (Greek Brat PITA sounds like an urban dictionary term though). The sausage was a nice mix of Gyro flavors and sausage-y texture. It was dressed like a gyro (pita, onions, olives, feta, tzatziki) and delicious! The sausage came with a lot of fries too, way too many for me but glad they don't skimp. The parmesan fries were excellent and fresh, but probably the first batch of the day! Service at the bar was OK as they were still kinda setting up for the day when I was there. Had to wait for soda pop refills. I'd go back just to try some of their regular brats with a beer or two (or three or four). Eleven and a half years later, I've been back and it's still very good. This time we got the Wisconsin burger and a rueben bratwurst. The bratwurst was really good; I might get that for myself if I visit again. It's too bad they don't still offer their burger with the bratwurst on top, since that's a more uncommon burger than you tend to see. When I came in it was loud and obnoxious and the bartender overlooked me to first wait on someone else, which was not cool. I wouldn't want to eat here when it's loud and rowdy, unless I was eating outside since they had ten or so tables on the sidewalk. There's no dedicated parking at this location, just street parking around the area if you can find it. A few blocks down there are a couple of parking lots though I'm not sure if the cost of parking would be justified by eating here. read more

Brat House was our first food stop on our weekend in Milwaukee. I had their Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap, it was pretty tasty. The ratios were nice and getting chicken crispy gave a nice crunch. The energy was very lively but a little chaotic too. If you're someone with sensitivity to noise, this is not a place for you. It's a nice place to pregame for going out. The open windows allow you vibe with the what's happening around you. The service was not the best. It was like the servers were surprised that they were at work and were expected to do their job. I honestly hate when that happens. It's one thing to have a bad day at work, but it's a completely different thing to become irritated when you're expected to be your job. Literally every time someone from our table asked the waiter for something. She rolled her eyes and made it seem like it was the biggest inconvenience she's ever experienced. By the end of our time at the restaurant, there were people at our table who were afraid to ask her for anything. That's unacceptable. The servers also seemed very unprepared for how crowded it was, but it was the spring fest weekend so hopefully that had something to do with it. read more

We received prompt service from our server, who was friendly and helpful with descriptions about the tap beers and the variety of menu items.
