The servers were attentive, fast, and knew the menu well enough to answer all our questions. Also important, this is a Coke Zero establishment. So I was already winning before the food even showed up. I went with the Husker Chicken Sandwich and sweet potato fries. I always ask for my fries well done, so yes, they looked extra crispy in the pic, and that was exactly what I wanted. They were perfect. The sandwich was huge, delicious, and something I will absolutely order again. Their honey mustard deserves its own shoutout. Top tier stuff. Now for the one downside. I know it's summer, but I absolutely froze in there. It felt like dining in a meat locker. I know not everyone is as cold-blooded as I am, and there are definitely worse things to complain about, but I was counting down the minutes until I could go thaw out in the car. Still, I'll be back. Just maybe in the fall. Or next time I'll bring a sweater. Or a blanket. Or both.

The menu ranges from pizza to burgers to sandwiches to prime rib, most of which I've tried and enjoyed. This visit I had a BLT which was huge, with lots of bacon, and came with the hottest, crispiest fries I've ever had and they were delicious! The sandwich is on three slices of toast, which for me was too much bread with not enough mayo to ease the crunch. Half a sandwich was more than enough for me. My partner in crime likes the loose meat sandwich, which was the day's special. I don't see the draw. I had a bite and it's not very seasoned hamburger on a soft hoagie roll. Instead of fries, he had a salad, which was large, fresh and delicious. His dressing of choice was Italian, which had an odd pinkish-orange color and tasted like it had been mixed with a little Dorothy Lynch, but overall was a good salad. We both were full, so we didn't have dessert this visit, but the offerings frequently sound so yummy. We've tried a banana cake and a caramel cake in the past, but neither were worth finishing as they were a little on the dry side. I can only guess that might happen in a sports bar where cake isn't usually how you might cheer a team's victory. Lighthouse has a friendly neighborhood vibe and we'll be back.

Pizza was ready right on time, and the smell was great all the way home. Initially, I was disappointed in the side salad, as it came in a box approximately the size of a big Mac box. I paid $5 for this? But when I poured it into a standard cereal bowl at home, I had to level up because there was so.much.salad! And it was fresh, and delicious. Toppings on the pizza were generous, and it looked great. Cupping pepperoni can be a little spicy, and the sauce had a little spice as well, but was very good. I got the standard crust (vs thin crust), and maybe standard is the best thing I can say about it. It was meh. Not fluffy, not chewy, just better than frozen. Everything was cooked well though, and I applaud that. Lots of pepperoni, olives and maybe not quite as many mushrooms, but a fair amount. I'd go back, this time trying the thin crust. Timber Creek has a fair amount going for it -- and friendly staff to boot!

I liked the variety of unique pizzas on the menu, but when it came time to add the actual unique toppings, they fell short. I had the street corn pizza, and there couldn't have been more than a tablespoon of chorizo on the entire pizza. Additionally, the sauce on top had a gross mayo-ish texture. If I were to return, I think I would play it safe and stick to the classics.
