Thorough. That's what this company is. Every detail is considered in the planning process and they know all the right questions to ask. The food selection is outstanding and the planning stage is smooth. You couldn't ask for more consistent and reliable communication. What I loved best about using This Little Piggy was that for the first time ever overseeing employee appreciation events, I didn't have to do a single thing. The stellar employees took care of EVERYTHING. They arrived on site, surveyed the venue and went to work. Tables were wiped down, bar was set up, food service area was laid out and they were in business. Our guests arrived and drinks were served. The aroma from the food kept everyone anticipating their meal. And the food was exceptional. Truthfully, I didn't even have high expectations for the meal, but the pork and chicken made everyone happy. The sides were fantastic-the mashed potato bar was a huge hit. The staff even cleaned the tables as everyone finished! Never have I had so much time to mingle with our guests and enjoy myself at these events. I was so happy-and not exhausted! The attention to detail every step of the way impressed me beyond belief. I would confidently hire This Little Piggy for a wedding, or more high end event and would be able to sit back and relax, knowing the process was in the best hands possible. Way over priced for what you got. Macaroni and cheese bar was very disappointing, ran out of toppings quick, the chicken was good but very simple skewers. The food was good, but not a lot there. The staff was also good. For the amount of money that was spent I could of gotten everything from Costco for a fraction of the price. There was no ambiance. One big bowl of Mac and cheese, one pan of chicken skewers, generic salad bowl and bowl of beans. This was a wedding for 150 people. Unfortunately I think the food was way over priced for what we got. I was looking forward to the pig roast for the wedding and it was completely dried out. They claim to have an award winning pig roast but it was far from that. The macaroni was cold along with the beans. The people from the catering company were very proffesional, but the food was just not good. When you're paying almost as much as the wedding venue for food you'd expect alot more. They also charged me 500 dollars to change my wedding date due to covid restrictions not letting us have our wedding on the original date. Refused to Refund Deposit During Pandemic We were scheduled to host a backyard celebration with 50 friends and family from across the country on June 27, 2020. Needless to say, because of the pandemic, travel concerns, and Minnesota Covid regulations/guidelines prohibiting this number of guests, we regrettably had to cancel the event. Rescheduling was not a viable option. We informed This Little Piggy/Abritin Catering of cancelation plans on May 27, 2020. At this point, we paid $1899.72 in deposit on the account. We requested a refund of the deposit. This Little Piggy/Abritin Catering's response to the request was both surprising and disappointing. They emailed the following response to our request for a refund-- "We offered solutions to legally execute your event sometime in the near future and we will not be issuing you a refund." (Jordan Feist, Director of Sales) The reality is that they offered a very different event for a very different audience--not what we had agreed to or paid for. In the end, this company provided zero service, incurred zero cost and invested virtually zero time in our event. For this they saw fit to keep $1899.72 for their zero effort. We entered this contract in good faith, assuming our friends and family would enjoy good food on our scheduled date. This did not happen. It is our opinion that This Little Piggy/Abritin Catering took advantage of a horrible situation (pandemic) and certainly did not execute their part of the contract in good faith. As a sidebar, we find it ironic that the company slogan is, "We listen to our clients and treat them like family." We cannot address the quality of the food nor the service of the staff at This Little Piggy/Abritin Catering, but we can speak to the integrity of this company. They catered my daughter's modern country-style outdoor wedding at Legacy Hills Farm where they are a preferred caterer- and we got SO many compliments. The food was delicious and HOT, which is not always the case! We did the whole hog roast with several sides. We had them serve pizza late at the dance- also a big hit. I know saying that this was by far the best wedding food I have ever had is pretty biased because it was my own wedding, but it was probably some of the best wedding food I have ever had. What made it so good was that it was food you actually wanted to eat. We had a whole roasted pig, watermelon mint feta salad, baked beans, summer quinoa salad, jalepno corn bread, and red German potato salad. I can't pick a favorite because it was all so good, but probably if I had to (after the pig of course) I would choose the watermelon salad. It was a hot day and that was very cool and refreshing. Everyone remarked though on how good the food was. Again, it wasn't froo-froo wedding food; it was actual food you want to eat and it is well done. I would suggest doing one of their larger tastings so you can try the full menu. There were things we thought we would like that we didn't, and vice versa. It really helped us get a sense of their food and helped us pick the right things for us. The service was also good at the wedding. The caterers were on time, polite, and very professional. I never heard any complaints about there not being any food or that something wasn't ready yet. They made sure the buffet line had everything it needed. They setup quickly and they took down quickly too. Part of how they keep the price down is by being efficient, and it showed. The only issues we had with them were on the backend (the headquarters you could say). We booked them sight unseen (or untasted) because of the glowing reviews of their food (which are well deserved). Booking them was pretty easy and straightforward. Things got murky though when it came to communication. I would e-mail one person and get a reply from another. I wish they had appointed us a contact person like our bartending service did. It was, at times, frustrating trying to get things figured out because I had e-mails from three different people. We also felt like they weren't super transparent about their fees and contracts. We booked their service very far in advance. After attending a tasting in April we decided to upgrade to the vintage package. The vintage package came with nice plates and silverware, plus a table cloth for the buffet table. That increased our overall cost, but it was still within the budget range. After meeting with our venue coordinator she told us that she could offer the same service but at half the cost. We called Little Piggy to switch our service, but they told us that they couldn't once a contract had been signed. While it did say that on the contract (which I wish we had read more carefully), it felt a little dishonest not to say that upfront. All of our other vendors were very clear and upfront about all the "hidden" costs of their businesses. They also waffled on charging us for our final count. When we signed our initial contract we really had no sense of where our final numbers would be. We guessed high because we wanted to give ourselves a ceiling. Well as it got closer we got a better count of how many adults and kids there would be. I was told initially that you can't lower your count after the contract has been signed. When I spoke to the person who would be coordinating our catering she was fine with us lowering the final count and lowered the cost too. Their logic to behind the no changing count or package is that they staff according to what you say you will need. Totally reasonable and understandable, except that we were trying to make changes 6 months out. Overall though the confusion with the backend didn't hurt the overall quality of the food or the service on the day. I would HIGHLY recommend them for any event. 98/100 read more

From the initial contract signing to the day of the wedding Vanessa (our contact) was available to answer any questions and update our menu as needed. This Little Piggy was very easy to work with and met our expectations in regard to contract fulfillment and payment. We received a TON of compliments on the food and it was DELICIOUS! The food on the day of the wedding was just as delicious as the day we did our initial tasting! Little Piggy arrived on-site, on time and there were no issues during service. They kept the food coming all through dinner service and were very friendly to us and our guests. 10/10 would recommend for a more laid-back BBQ wedding! read more

The one star is for their macaroni and cheese. We didn't have the luxury of choosing our caterer. TLP was the exclusive vendor at our sons venue. We chose the buffet dinner and "upgraded" to their Elegance option. This included buffet linen, real plates and flatware as well as table bussing at an additional charge of $5.99 per guest. Food came prepared and in timely fashion. It was set up and packed up by the staff of three. Guests served themselves, retrieved their own beverages, the cake was cut and plated by a volunteer. At ten o'clock my husband requested an hour extension for the open bar. He was told the cost of this would be $250.00, he provided the bartenders his credit card information, tipped them generously in cash and was thanked in kind with a sincere handshake. We went on with the evening. The following Monday my husband noticed a $750 charge on our card on behalf of TLP. He phoned the office and spoke with Dawn, she explained the additional $450 was a tip. My husband assured her it was not, that no one had authorized this and please have the owner contact him immediately. My husband soon received a call from Seth the owner. Seth began the conversation with a shrill " I know the whole story", was rude, defensive and completely unprepared to handle the situation professionaly. My husband wondered how many others may have had charges added without their consent or knowledge that didn't catch it on their statements. Seth told my husband to have a nice life and ended the conversation. I work in the service industry, if I added a tip to my clients bill without their consent or knowledge I would be fired and quite possibly prosecuted. We contacted our credit card company to report this, they recomended we cancel the card which we did. After several days the charges were reversed, no apology, nothing. If you are required to hire this company, have them clarify the verbiage on the contract, insist on one contact ( avoid Seth) and carefully review your charges. read more

This Little Piggy Catering was amazing. Our wedding was 5/31/14. Their office staff was very helpful gracious in answering all of my questions and made great recommendations on the food and services they offered. The serving staff the day of my wedding was GREAT - they were very nice and all came up to give me a hug or congratulate us. The food was AWESOME. We had a fajita buffet and cheese enchiladas, and our guests raved about the food. Also, the ice cream sundae bar was a huge hit, and the piggy wing appetizers were the best! Above and beyond service!! I would highly recommend this company for any catering needs. Not only did they make sure to go the extra mile with the food and bar cart but they made sure to help out in any extra way they could to assure the wedding was top notch. Vanessa, Jordan, and Dylan are some of the hardest working individuals. Every single person made comments at how amazing the service, staff, and food were. Vanessa, made sure to make the planning process super easy and fun. She was so enjoyable to work with and truly made you feel so calm and relaxed for your big day. She was on top of every detail. She was able to suggest the appropriate amount of food to be ordered and was extremely flexible with any changes that needed to be made. Jordan, absolutely nailed it with the bartending for Hitch & Sip. He perfectly paced everyone while still making sure we all had a blast. He would go out of his way to help out in any way possible. Bringing waters, taking out trash, and just overall being an extremely kind and fun individual. Dylan, was so helpful with all the food and serving. He made the pig roast such a "wow" experience. We hired This Little Piggy Catering to cater a pig roast for my father's 75th birthday at the family lake property. James Gonzalez made sure that everything was planned and executed to perfection. Evan and Maria did a marvelous job as our servers. They were so much fun while still being professional. Since we planned this major event on short notice, I am still amazed that everything went so well, especially the food that as both fresh and delicious. Just used this little piggy for my wedding catering and was very happy with it. We ordered the full roasted pig and it was absolutely delicious. All sides and salads were fantastic too. We received many compliments about the food from all our guests. It was also nice working with this little piggy and their friendly and helpful staff. They rushed through our event, $400 fruit tree was set up 45 min late, it was torn down within 2 hours. Pig was supposed to be cut at a specific time that wasn't honored. People hadn't finished arriving when everything was being put away, lastly their bar tender ended up leaving early and lying about the circumstances of her exit. Manager was contacted and advised but nothing was done to address or fix anything. I would never use this catering service again, very disappointing. read more

RUDE, DISHONEST, UNPROFESSIONAL THIEVES. The food tastes good and that is the only nice thing I have to say about this company. I would never have selected them to cater our wedding after the first interaction with them but they were the exclusive caterer at our venue. From the first consultation the staff member we worked with was unable to produce an itemized invoice or give explanation for how fees and costs were calculated. Furthermore, their quotes are only good for seven days and after waiting many days to hear back from their staff (past the 7 days) they tried to say that our quote had expired and the rates had gone up. While we were finally able to gain some semblance of resolution on the invoice the final straw came at the wedding. Upon completion of our buffet dinner the servers approached our wedding coordinator and informed her that gratuity was not included. My husband and I discussed it with our coordinator and decided to take the server's business card and send an appropriate tip later. We thought this solved the issue. However, upon reviewing his credit card bill the following week my father-in-law noticed there was a charge from This Little Piggy for $450. When he called to dispute it the owner told him that the charge was for the servers ($150 each) and that my father-in-law had asked for them to do this. This was an absolute fabrication. Upon correcting him, the owner of the company told my FIL to "have a nice life" and offered no apology or resolution. This Little Piggy did not offer to investigate or check into the matter. This company is nasty and dishonest. They will steal from you and then call you a liar. We ended up reporting the charge as fraud to the credit card company, informed the venue and still haven't heard anything further in the way of an apology. AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN!!! read more
