I believe that Icon Realty was involved in hacking my bank account. I leased an apartment in the heart of las olas/Fort Lauderdale from December 2016, from Atlantic loft llc. I agreed to pay a 2 month security deposit of $2400 as well as first, last and security (pretty standard) got my key, etcétera. After 2 different companies handling our property, ICON Realty came in January 2020 and revamped property by implementing a ***online payment service ***** aka , a way to get into your bank account. I questioned who this is and why I had to use this system to pay, not only to be replied with "It is our new system and you have to use it, you must pay rent this way or consult your attorney" As I went ahead and used it but decided to not renew my upcoming ending lease of 3/30/20. I emailed, texted and explain that I would not be renewing the lease because not only I don't trust the payment system, I had a very difficult time communicating with Benjamin (who by the way runs the whole thing). He ignored all my calls and the ones he replied, he did very rudely. I promptly moved out on schedule and handed him the keys along with my original lease agreement. He took the keys and said that He did not have a refund and I would need to wait 30 days to receive one on the mail. Now 30 days later. My bank account has been HACKED and bank investigated the multiple charges leading back to that January rent payment. I have been getting random withdrawals from different wiring entities totaling over 1k so far. Due to covid19, I can not yet file a claim in court. And the reason I am writing this is to WARN tenants and landlords about companies like this! I am attaching the refund check I just received. What a joke! See you in court.

Our HOA questionnaire was submitted weeks in advance, and I followed up multiple times, including an urgent request approximately two weeks before our scheduled July 28 closing. I also made multiple phone calls that went unanswered and left messages in an effort to get this resolved. Despite those repeated emails, missed phone calls, and follow-ups, the questionnaire was still not completed in time. Because of Eileen's delay and the team's lack of urgency, I was forced to request an extension on my closing. This delay had serious financial consequences for me. I had already relocated to another state for work and was paying both a mortgage and rent while trying to close on my home. After nearly six months of working toward this sale, these unnecessary delays exhausted my emergency savings and created significant financial stress. Robert, Eileen, and Catherine need to take a serious look at their communication, responsiveness, and turnaround times. Documents that directly affect a real estate closing are time-sensitive, and failing to handle them promptly can have real financial consequences for homeowners. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received and hope this team makes meaningful improvements so future homeowners do not have to experience the same unnecessary stress, delays, and financial hardship.
