This place was amazing when bill cuddy worked there but ever since there's been a change in…read more ownership has completely turned it into a toxic punishing environment. I went to two groups and walked out of my second group never turned back and I celebrated 2 years this past December 2025. if you can find bill i know he's opening another practice in Stratford. Do NOT go to this place anymore.

Bill Cuddy straight up told me that this program is "punishment" for getting in a dui over a year…read moreago. been living a clean life doing everything i had to do. I completed court ordered obligations, however these type of programs are incentivized (read; easy $$$) to have you keep coming back and paying for sessions. I finished my alcohol reeducation program, mandated by the court, but had to do an "evaluation" with Bill Cuddy to see if i still have a "problem", so i can return and take group sessions (more sessions, more money for them lol). Before i even went in to his office I knew i was going to be asked to do extra meetings, because the receptionist handed me a list of times and dates of those meetings (though she did say that i may or may not have to do them...yeah right). it was routine for them. look, i have nothing against social workers or people that are trying to get off drugs and alcohol. and i'm sure there are people that are addicts and do get legitimately treated here. but i am not one, and i don't drive or drink anymore, nor abuse drugs. the worst thing about this type of business is that the "patients" HAVE to go, mandated by court order, just to be told they have to pay more and go more. And the people who do need the help are surrounded by people who don't need help. helping a person isn't the goal at this place, most definitely. And i'm not even sure if "punishment" is the goal either. I'm convinced that this is just about making money, and abusing the most vulnerable people to make it. i would be ashamed to be pull a salary from this type of occupation. it's simply, quite frankly, a racket.

My experience was disappointing and left me with concerns about professionalism and client care…read more My initial appointment was canceled at the last minute, which was frustrating given the time and preparation clients invest in attending sessions. During our first interaction, I was told that I was "operating out of confusion," which I found dismissive and inappropriate in a therapeutic setting. Following our intake session, I received an email stating that services were being terminated due to a conflict of interest. While I respect a therapist's right to determine whether they can ethically provide treatment, I was surprised that this issue was not identified before the appointment took place or, at the ending of her first session. I also experienced technical and audio issues during the telehealth session, which made communication more difficult than it should have been. Overall, I did not feel heard, respected, or supported as a client. Based on my experience, I would not return for services and would encourage prospective clients to carefully consider whether this provider is the right fit for their needs and for their beliefs.
