During our first interaction, I was told that I was "operating out of confusion," which I found dismissive and inappropriate in a therapeutic setting. Following our intake session, I received an email stating that services were being terminated due to a conflict of interest. While I respect a therapist's right to determine whether they can ethically provide treatment, I was surprised that this issue was not identified before the appointment took place or, at the ending of her first session. I also experienced technical and audio issues during the telehealth session, which made communication more difficult than it should have been. Overall, I did not feel heard, respected, or supported as a client. Based on my experience, I would not return for services and would encourage prospective clients to carefully consider whether this provider is the right fit for their needs and for their beliefs.
