I got rhinoplasty here a couple years ago. The staff was extremely friendly but the doctor not so much. He's the type of doctor to do what he wants.. not what you want. He took the hump off of my side profile but if I turn a little bit you can still see that he left a bump on both sides of my nose. It's like he only focused on one angle but forgot every other angle. I brought this up to him during my follow up and he told me to "calm down it will go away" he also said it was "normal" for tissue to come back. But this wasn't regrowth... from the beginning it was clear that there was leftover bumps on both sides. Im not sure why he kept disregarding my concerns but it was clear he didn't care about me as a patient. He wanted to charge me for the whole procedure again to fix it so I decided not to continue with his practice. 3 years after my surgery and I still have the bump on both sides of my nose. The day of my appointment when the nurses were getting me ready they were arguing right infront of me! I was scheduled as the second surgery of the day but then last minute they switched me to the first surgery. Everything seemed so rushed and maybe that's why the doctor forgot to pay attention to detail when it came to my surgery. Maybe he's good with other procedures but I wouldn't recommend coming here for rhinoplasty. He will disregard any end goal you want and override with his own idea. My second procedure I had an extended tummy tuck done by Dr. Zewert on August6,2021. As far as a surgical procedure goes, it has been wonderful experience. I lost a lot of weight so I did it not only for cosmetic reasons but for comfort. I had a bulging midsection that diet and exercise could not make disappear. I hesitated because I was afraid of the pain involved as well as complications that could arise. I was afraid I would regret my decision if I had a bad experience or looked horrible. I did my research and Dr Zewert and a few people I know referred me to Dr Zewert. Since Dr Zewert had just done my Breast Augmentation on February 2,2021. My full trust and confidence was in him and his staff. I had so many question and am happy that I went into surgery without any question. I suggest booking a consultation with him no matter what the procedure is or even if you have other doctors on your list. He and his staff are so knowledgeable that you will be well informed and know what questions to ask others. Dr. Zewert is not only a great surgeon but a gifted one but is also a perfectionist . I was skeptical because I have a low tolerance for pain but can tell you that if you follow his orders,, the pain is not an issue. Today I am 1 week 1 day post op and I've taken zero pain meds. When I saw the price of the mommy makeover it was completely reasonable and doable so I went for both. I got the mommy makeover on September 15. I want to take the time to thank Dr. Zewert and his wonderful team. I am just a few days shy of calling it my one-year anniversary from having my breast augmentation. This metamorphosis has been such a beautiful experience. A few personal notes: * I started at a very small A cup and I am now a 32 D. Silicon was recommended for me. * Paying for the procedure: With the help of Dr. Zewert's Patient Care Coordinator, we discussed payment options. I was approved by CareCredit and I pay monthly at a very reasonable rate. * Dr. Zewert put me at ease before my surgery. I was comfortable and I was out before I knew it! * After surgery I was a bit sore, but the soreness felt like recovering from a chest work-out: tender but not a terrible debilitating pain. * I was able to go back to work after a week. * Now that it has been a year, my scars are very faint and my chest feels more and more natural as the months continue to go by. From my first consultation to my post-op, I never felt like something was wrong with me; Dr. Zewert never gave the inclination that his job was to make me "better", but rather how can we work together to improve my own self-image. I felt that my body was limiting me in significant ways. I was tired of shying away from certain clothing; I could not dress the way I wanted to due to my small chest size. I would have to go for the more youthful dresses and tops--this was limiting me and projecting an age and style that wasn't me. Moreover, my fitness was also affected: I wasn't motivated to go to the gym. The more I worked out, the more mass I lost in my chest area. I had been considering plastic surgery for quite sometime and had a few consultations with other physicians over an 8 year period. I revisited the topic after seeing Dr. Zewert's local commercial regarding surgery options and patient testimonials. I made a decision to reach out to the staff via their website. I was contacted by the office's staff to make a consultation appt. After meeting the front and back office staff, his medical assistants and Dr. Z himself I knew that I had waited these years for good reason. I had the opportunity to be treated by an amazing surgeon, staff, and facility. Dr. Zewert has an in house surgical facility, Las Ventanas, that is adjacent to his practice office. The surgery performed was an abdominoplasty and breast augmentation (Mommy Makeover). Day of surgery I had a bit of a wait as Dr Z. is the emergency physician for hand injuries in the central coast, and had to surgically treat a traumatic hand injury from a work related accident. I did not mind the wait as I knew every minute was worth it to have him as my surgeon. Last thing I remember before my surgery was talking with the anesthesiologist and three nurses. If you're going to have facial plastic surgery, look for an expert that specializes in that field, not a general plastic surgeon. Dr. Zewert seemed confident in performing a rhinoplasty. However, it wasn't until after surgery at follow-up appointments that he admitted that the procedure he attempted to perform was beyond his level of ability and expertise. He failed to improve any of the problem areas we discussed, and was overly aggressive in his approach, leaving me with an unnatural looking nose that is too small for my face. I don't recognize myself and can't believe I used to be self-conscious of my nose before. He offered to attempt to fix his most obvious mistake, but I am speaking with a revision rhinoplasty expert. I consider this to be one of my biggest regrets. Why didn't Dr. Zewert admit this procedure was too complicated for him and suggest I see a rhinoplasty expert? The answer: Money. read more

I went in for a tummy tuck consultation. From start to finish I had an A+ experience. They were all professional, knowledgeable, and helpful with my decision. I had an amazing breast augmentation experience with Dr. Zewert and his staff. It started with a phone call to set up my consultation. I spoke with Phyllis, who helped me with all of the information I needed about the process. She was very informative and professional. I could tell after speaking with her that my experience was going to be a great one. I came in for my consultation about two weeks later. This is when I met Dr. Zewert. We went over my specific situation, and spoke with each other for around an hour. I described the look I was trying to achieve and he told me what he thought would work for me. We agreed to a decision on size, type of implant and type of incision. A couple of weeks later, I came in for my pre-op appointment. I was able to meet with Dr. Zewert again. We went over more information, read through paper work and signed documents. Two weeks later was surgery day. I was so nervous the day of surgery, but as soon as I entered the surgery center my anxiety was relieved. I used Las Ventanas Surgery Center located in Salinas. His surgical staff was amazing at making me feel very comfortable and welcomed. Next thing I know, surgery is over and I went home. I felt great from the moment I woke out of anastesia and I continued to feel good during the days following my surgery. I had a few follow up appointments that all went very well. At about 2 weeks post op, I got a knock on my door at home. It was a beautiful Swenson and Silacci arrangement from Dr. Zewert and his staff. That arrangement made me so happy! Way too expensive!!! I cut my finger with a box cutter and the hospital er told me to use him for my follow up visits. When I made my appointment I asked if they accepted the insurance I have. They said yes so I figured it would be mostly covered. Wrong! After seeing him 4 times over the course of 6 weeks, I started receiving the ridiculous bills. My visits consisted of an awkward consultation with a very new medical assistant and a quick unrolling of the tape on my finger. Then the dr would come in for like 2 minutes to see my healing progress and send me on my way. No surgery. No nothing. First bill $361, insurance covers $75. Second visit $282 insurance covers $75. Third visit $186, no insurance adjustment indicated on the bill. Haven't received the last one yet. I called his billing office a couple weeks ago to talk about some sort of discount or payment plan since I'm a full time student working part time and barely make enough to even live off of. She said she'd call back. Never did. I understand medical school is expensive, I'm currently studying to be a dietitian. But $360 for a 5 minute appointment is bullshit. I will not be paying these bills anytime soon because I'm not rich. I'm sure most of his patients fall into a different state of wealth since he's a plastic surgeon but I would never recommend this office to anyone. read more

I fell and broke my nose. When it healed it just didn't look or feel the same- I had trouble breathing and felt very self conscious. When I began considering plastic surgery (breast augmentation), my initial concern was that my frame was so petite that an implant wouldn't set correctly, and would result in me feeling even more insecure. I was 22 years old at the time, and had no children, so my skin wasn't prepared to stretch. Despite my concerns, I went in for a consultation to hopefully diminish my doubts and have my questions answered. From the moment I checked in with the front desk, I was so welcomed, and I felt like they really wanted to know ME. Everyone was so personal and friendly, and I couldn't wait to meet Dr. Zewert! When it came time to ask my questions and bring up my concerns, Dr. Zewert assured me that even with a petite frame an implant can be inserted beautifully. I learned that implants come in several sizes of volume, so I tried on the three sizes that he recommended. Out of the 3, I was most satisfied with the middle size. Several people where I work have had some "work done" as we've varyingly aged, had children or just "yielded to gravity' thru the years. I selected Dr Zewert based on a co-worker's satisfaction with him. I did not look into or "comparison shop" with any other physician based on my co-worker's outstanding results and experience in total. I went into the process fairly uninformed (aka naive) but was immediately assured I had made "the right choice" from my very first phone call...Dr Zewert's office staff made me feel like I was the only patient in the office and have treated me like I'm someone super famous every single visit. Maria, Phyllis, Maribel, Marisol and any others I fail to mention have been just wonderful! Caring and attentive, knowledgeable and generous with whatever I needed, supply-wise. I have been treated very well and feel an office staff reflects upon their association with their physician leader. When I first met Dr Zewert I didn't know his full credentials but was instantly assured he would do an outstanding job and I was with "the right guy". Then I read on an office wall he's been thru Harvard and Yale, but treats everyone with respect and compassion immediately. He took time to be sure it was the right time for me, that he could assure me best results because I'm a little on the high end of "older patient"..he obviously wasn't just taking everyone and anyone who inquired about a procedure and takes pride on pre-screening so results are good and patient is satisfied..in other words, he cares about his patients, he cares about his work. I have had numerous re-check visits with a frequency that impresses everyone I know..Again I take that as a sign of Dr Zewert's dedication to his patients and his work, wanting the best results for his patients. He's meticulous in his work, completely professional mixed in with the right amount of "personal". I know he's a busy guy but he's always taken the time I needed to answer any and all questions, treating my visit like I was the only one on his schedule. His work habits are of the highest caliber and he's uncommonly empathetic for a surgeon, caring about causing ANY discomfort and taking everything slow as the recovery part unfolds. I am relatively early in my recovery still but everything he's said has been 100% correct and I KNOW I made the right choice just by watching him work, how he treats his patients, how his office staff respond to him and how he is willing to teach his patients what is needed for us to do our part to make his perfect work stay perfect. It was not a sure thing he would accept my case, he was very direct and honest in his pre-op consultation to let me know what he needed from me in order to feel this was the right time to undertake the procedure.
