The worst doctor office experience ever. And I mean EVER. I'd read a few good reviews so I decided to book an appointment. My eye issues (as stated in my paperwork and to the booking agent on the phone) were: 1) evaluation for cataracts based on symptoms and 2) dry eyes/floaters. Issues with Thomas Eye Group: 1) Did not see the doctor I was told I would see. They never mentioned the switch and I didn't realize this until AFTER the appointment (more on this later). 2) After signing in, I waited 30 minutes before being called. A PA took my history/issues, etc. then put two types of drops in my eyes. One was dye, the other was for dilation. I explained prior that I'd never had dilation. No explanation given to prepare me for how I'd feel. Then sent back to the waiting room until the dilation took affect. 3) One hour and 15 minutes later I saw the doctor albeit not the one I booked. Actually he never introduced himself so I still had no clue which doctor he was. I didn't figure out the switch until looking at my paperwork. 3) The doctor looked in my eyes for less than 30 seconds then said I didn't have cataracts and that I needed to continue going to my regular optician for vision. That's it? Huh? 4) I brought up the two other medical reasons for which I was there. Again these issues were in my chart and previously stated when booking the appt. He had his PA write an RX for Xiidra without any explanation of usage/side effects etc. What a jerk! Short story: I waited almost two hours before seeing the nameless doctor. I saw the nameless doctor for about three minutes total. I left the doctor's office in the middle of ATL rush hour with my pupils dilated which made driving very difficult. The next morning I was still dilated. I called the office which told me that it can take up to 24 hours for my pupils to return to normal. I was clearly over-dilated. read more

I have had two recent appointments both with extremely long wait times. I saw Dr. Blasberg on one of the visits. I will not see him again. He seemed very cocky - not friendly at all. I will be looking for a much better eye group. read more

don't go here. they charge an arm and a leg for glasses. then the glasses were not ready for weeks. when they finally came in, I could not see out of them. the woman insisted it must be how I was looking out of the glasses. I told her I can't see if I look down or to the left. they agreed to replace. I emailed several times, still they were not there. in the meantime I was waiting for contacts to be shipped. when the contacts finally came, I received a full box of contacts with no prescription! so I had to send those back. thomas eye group had given me a sample pair of glasses to wear while I waited. each time I called, no glasses. I finally gave up when my contacts arrived and just dealt with it. i found a new eye doctor. A year later Nate contacted me asking if wanted my glasses. I called and said, can you just refund the difference I paid. he said no we can send these. I said i went somewhere else since I never got my glasses and he said no we do t refun and began talking over me. I said please don't talk over me. he said I'm not, you have a motive, you want a refund. I said I want the difference I paid refunded sonce I never received the glasses with all the up charges that the opthamologist said I needed and out of which I could not see! Nate was a complete JERK. So I hung up $750 lesson learned! Do not go here. there is reason the Yelp is 2 stars. read more

BEWARE using this eye group. They are all about money. They shuttle your calls through a call center staffed with people who are not knowledgeable about optical issues. They won't let you speak directly to the doctor. I was charged twice for the same visit because the call center representative scheduled my appointment for the wrong specialist then they made me come back to see the correct specialist who gave me the exact same exam. He took the exact same X-rays and tests to tell me the exact same thing the first specialist said then charged me for both visits even though it was their error. I have no idea what specialist I should see. That's why I explained my issue in great detail. I asked to speak with a manager about the double billing. The manager was never available or called me back. FRAUDULENT!!! read more

I ordered glasses from them 5 weeks ago and still haven't received them. Now I find out they've been ready for pickup for 4 days and no one let me know. And now they are closed for a long weekend. This place obviously cares more about quantity of patients than the quality of their care/retention for their business. No matter what day/time you go here, its always swamped with patients. I took a relative here for an appt recently and the wait was 2 hours. Similar wait times on previous visits. That wouldn't be that bad if they had good care, but the doctor sees you for about 5 minutes and always seem to rush you out of the room. Horrible bedside manner, acting like you have to hurry up and very little personal concern. Recent visit was with Dr. Blasberg who has an attitude problem and shouldn't be working with any sort of medical patient. Very condescending, when he does speak to you its like he's speaking to a child, though he talks a lot more to his assistants and with a tone like they're talking behind your back but with you right there in the room. This time he threatened my relative with kicking her out of the practice stating that he would rather that than adding another failure to his record; which just shows he cares more about money/reputation than actually working WITH patients. I've read a lot of reviews and the trend seems to be that positive reviews are new patients who get short wait times and professional service. Reviews seem to get more negative the longer you're a customer. Quantity over quality business model makes this place an eye-care $$$ factory. Only good thing I can say is that the staff outside of the doctors are very caring and professional. They take their time and do a good job. read more

I had been to the Thomas Eye Group more than a decade ago in Alpharetta, and never went back. I decided to give this "new" Sandy Springs location a try since my sister had a good experience and it's close to me. I should've just avoided this place altogether. My appointment was at 9:20. I got there early and checked-in at the patient kiosk, which then told me to go to the front desk where I was directed where to wait. The wait time was much longer than it needed to be. I may have waited about 20 minutes before going in. After the nurse/technician got patient history, we started the eye exam. Everything was fine. Then I had to wait in the lobby again to see Dr Blasberg. Including the wait time once I was seated in an exam room, I must've already waited for an hour. I didn't leave the building until 11:40. I don't exactly understand what takes so long to wait there. The worst part was how rude Dr Blasberg was. I have eczema and I'm going through a flare that my eyelids are puffy/swollen. This crackpot of a doctor accused me of getting plastic surgery. He was extremely rude and it made me feel worse than I was already feeling. Adding insult to injury was that he didn't even provide me any guidance on how to get my glasses after my exam was done. I've filed a complaint with the group and am seeking a refund. I'm covered by medical and vision insurance, but it really stinks that this office is probably going to make a claim with my insurance companies. Been going to this practice for 4 years now. Dr. Kaufman is very good. But the practice as a whole is very lackluster. When you first visit this place, it seems very impressive. They are quite good at marketing and packaging. But here is the problem...they are too commercialized. In my last 4 annual retina checkup visits, it was always around 2 hours (and most of the time was spent in the waiting area). Really? Great doctors who know their stuff! Back in 2002 I was at my desk working when my vision became distorted. I called and they told me to come in immediately. After confirming that I didn't have a detached retina, they referred me to a neuro-ophthalmologist, who then diagnosed me with MS (multiple sclerosis). Without their knowledge, I might have been left with severely limited eyesight. Continued check-ups of my vision and optic nerves is critical for my eye health, and Thomas Eye Group is my #1 choice! read more

I used to tell my coworkers about this location and even my coworker who needs his lasik redone again i took pics of the new facility to show him and tell him to go there for his new lasik. But after me and my daughter went in for exams and pain my daughter was feeling in her eye, she was telling him how she was feeling about her eye and Dr. Blasberg was interrupting her consistently saying no you can feel pain in the other eye from this eye and sounding very condescending. He didn't let her explain the best a non medical person can explain and made her feel as if she was making it up and i felt the same way. He literally told her to IGNORE the eye pain that they get people in the office all the time with unexplained eye pain. HUH..... IGNORE THE PAIN? What professional does that, if he can't explain the problem ignoring it is not the answer. If anything he should have told her to follow up with her primary. Her eye is still sore and she is not comfortable nor am I with the diagnoses of IGNORE. He was fast about getting us in and out and didn't seem to care about our comfort. In addition while i was expecting to pay my co pay I was charged with an additional $70 a piece for the both of us for retraction, being $140 bill instead of $50. Retraction is the reading of our old glasses to get the old prescription and neither of us knew it was being done. No one said we are doing this it's going to be extra and it's not covered with insurance none of that! I had the prescriptions with me i could have gave them that they didn't have to read our glasses this pissed me off royally. I would not recommend such deceitful people. It's like a Grady of eye doctors trying to rotate as many people in and out as fast as possible! I'll tell BCBS how i feel about them as well. This was my second visit to Thomas eye group, I arrived on time but waited like 30 minutes to finally be seen, we were taken and seen by an assistant dilated then sat back in the waiting room to wait more for Blasberg who was just unsympathetic. He should not be at this eye group he is giving them a bad rap, not sure if they all act like this promoting his behavior. There seems to be little to no human interactions from beginning to end, you even have to sign yourself in scanning your id and insurance card at the kiosk. I came to this practice 2 years ago for Lasik because my insurance company had a deal with them. Should of known something was up when they refused to honor my discount and instead offered me a package that included unlimited enhancements. Due to time/ work schedule I decided to book my procedure here. First red flag was the doctor you meet with isn't the same doctor that performs your procedure. I've had surgery several times in the past and always met with the surgeon before and not the day of. Had my procedure and unfortunately it didn't work and my vision wasn't that great. Had to wait 6 months before I could have an enhancement. It was during this time the entire staff/doctors bedside manner changed. Since they no longer could charge me more for an enhancement it was a nightmare getting appointments scheduled or even returned calls. When I finally had my enhancement done with the same surgeon he was extremely irritated that day, making comments that my expectations were unrealistic. I'm sorry, but wanting to be able to see and not have this affect my job isn't an unrealistic expectation. A year later my vision still isn't at 20/20 (20/30 left, 20/40 right) and it's frustrating not to be able to read street signs when driving, etc. I went in 3 weeks ago to see what my options are. I was told my files would go to the surgeon to see what can be done. I've called several times and reach out to their coordinator and can't get either the doctor or surgeon to call me back. As a patient there is no excuse for this. What the hell is the point of having lifetime enhancement packages if obviously you don't want to honor them and rather have brand new paying customers/patients? At this point, I'd rather go back to contacts instead of using up another week of vacation time, plus having to book all of the followup appts. read more

Dishonest, Sloppy, and Arrogant. I needed a routine eye exam. My insurance told me that Thomas Eye Group was in network. A month after my visit, I received a bill for $352. When I called to inquire, I was told that I had been seen by a physician within the practice, but one who was out-of-network; his fee was $352. Never was I told or warned. This is a scam. They assume that they can bill whatever, whenever they want and patients just have to pay it. Dishonest! They assume no responsibility for disclosing fees accurately ahead of time. Sloppy! They assume they can just send threatening letters month after month until they send their customers to a collection agency. Arrogant! I have made several attempts--for six months--to remedy this. I have been told they would pull the phone recordings where I was supposedly told. They then told me that those recordings had been "accidentally erased." Pathetic. Outright lies. They have told me they'd escalate my complaint to management who could "see about" getting the charges reversed. Lies, lies, and more lies. I've never heard from anyone. I just keep getting bills in the mail and lies the phone. They've wasted how much manpower to chase down $352?!? That's $352 that they will never get!! Any business (and yes, a doctor's office IS a business) that behaves this incompetently should not stay in business. In the future, whenever I see a doctor I will bring my own form for them to sign. I will demand charges upfront be written down. I will demand they sign a waiver that disallows them concocting new charges after the fact. Of course, Thomas will never agree to that. I was looking for corrective eye surgery. After a free exam I had many questions. I was told I should meet with the surgeon but it would be about 60 days. I agreed to wait and meet with him. After another round of tests and meeting with the doctor I was hit with a $200 bill !! After calling the billing dept they were very cold and really didn't seem to care to be if any assistance. This place is awesome! Complimentary Valet Parking. State-of-the-art facilities and the kindest staff. They check you in and escort you to the waiting room, escort you to check out, and just really treat you very well. I felt like I should have been dressed up more to be there. LOL. Dr. Dana Wallace is a life-saver. She took us in as an emergency appointment when the BF had a piece of metal in his eye. Be forewarned: at this large eye care factory, the left hand frequently doesn't know what the right hand is doing. First, expect to spend a half day at the clinic, with perhaps an hour in the waiting room, then more waiting for your eyes to be checked, then back to the waiting room until you see the doctor. And then possibly more waiting. We were there for four hours, just to have our family member's eyes examined! Four hours?! Sometimes the wait is so long that they come around with a cart of snacks and water. Clearly, they are aware of the problem. While a couple of the doctors seemed caring and skilled (which is why we kept going here), the patient in our family saw so many different providers over the course of a couple of months that significant mistakes were made, including an incorrect eyeglass prescription (following two surgeries), the possible improper prescription of a medication, and --what we are being told by a doctor at a different clinic--the possible failure to provide an appropriate procedure needed to preserve the sight in one eye. Further, our family member was prescribed aspirin, which caused uncontrolled nosebleeds. Rather than stopping the aspirin, the doctor insisted that the patient see an ENT, who--surprise-- said to stop taking the aspirin. In addition, the doctors and assistants spend more time inputting insurance codes into computers than examining the patient. We are so done with them. read more

When I needed new glasses, I wanted distance glasses for both regular use and sunglasses. I also needed glasses for work. My insurance covered only one pair, so I was on the hook to pay out of pocket for the other two. I work in a typical office/cube environment: my computer monitors are between 22 and 38 inches +/- (laptop on a desk, and monitor behind that). The first prescription was incorrect, so I had the distance & sunglasses made twice (two prescriptions). They never could get the work glasses prescription correct, even after six visits and three different prescriptions. I finally went to Pearl Vision on Johnson Ferry and paid out-of-pocket (again) for a new pair of work glasses. I let them examine me before allowing them to review my work glasses or the prescription. Even so, Pearl got my new prescription right on the first try. Thomas Eye Group provides a great prescription for both distance and close-work glasses that are great for reading, electrician, plumbing or other up-close work. But don't expect them to ferret out a prescription that works for a typical office environment. read more

My 87 year old Mom has multiple eye diseases and has gone to this practice for over 20 years. We have often been aggravated by having to always wait so much at this office, but today was the worst! 2&1/2 hours to get an exam and two simple screenings done. Plenty of staff around. No one bothers to apologize or give us updates on how long its going to be. My Mom who uses a walker and tires easily just sat and sat and sat. Then the doc comes in and acts rushed! Short, curt answers to our questions. No real attention to Mom's issues. I will say it was a different doc than she has seen before, otherwise we would have left this practice long ago. Truculent, duplicitous and egregious are the nicest things I can say about this company. I had scheduled 2 surgeries with them my first surgery was rescheduled 4 times. The day before the surgery less than 20 hours, they rescheduled my surgery at the last moment making me have to scrambled to find a ride because they don't do the surgery if you don't have a ride home. Then on the 2nd surgery the exact same thing. Both time they charged me and my insurance in full 2 days prior before the "emergency" rescheduling. When I got their for the surgery the most ghetto and unprofessional woman had the unmitigated gaul to catch an attitude with me and then scheduled me as the last surgery of the day after making me arrive 4 hours early. The following day after my post op appointment they tried to charge me again for the surgery. When the receptionist looked in the system she saw where I had paid in full but the payment was not applied to the account telling me she would notify billing and see what would happen. This company is pure garbage. They are nothing more than a bunch of crooks and care nothing for their patients only for their pocketbooks. read more

Everyone at the Sandy Springs location was very courteous and professional except for the physician I saw. On the intake form, the Thomas Eye Group asks for information about one's profession and title, among other things. I am an academic librarian with an EdD (which is not terribly unusual), and I put this information on the form, as requested. The very first thing that the physician said to me upon entering the room was, "I understand that you are a LIBRARIAN, MR. _____" in a very insulting and demeaning tone. He went on in this vein for quite some time, and maintained a hostile demeanor throughout my visit. I found it very odd that a physician would try to pick a fight with a patient over something as trivial as this. Had I not already paid for the visit, I would have walked out. Very unsatisfied with their customer service. My husband, daughter and I all experienced long wait times to see the doctor. Once I was fitted for contacts they gave me the wrong prescription. I had to go back to the office to get the right prescription, because it was next to impossible to talk to a person on the phone. I went into office to correct the prescription and ordered contacts. After three weeks, still I didn't receive my contacts. I had to go back to the office because I couldn't get through to a person. At the office I discovered Crystal forgot to charge my credit card. I should have listened to everyone who warned me and all of the other less-than-stellar reviews. We had an 8:00 am appointment scheduled for my 6-year-old and we're coming from Canton. We woke up early to some really bad thunderstorms so I knew we'd have to leave a little earlier than expected. We arrived at 7:40 and signed in by 7:47 at the latest. We didn't get called to the back until 8:25, so this is one of their first appointments and they're already running 25 minutes late. I see patients (virtually) and if I'm 25 minutes late for my patients, they leave and I don't get paid. We get back to the exam room and the nurse informs me that the doctor isn't even at the practice yet. Now, my son was scheduled for a follow-up vision check-up after his thorough exam just 5-6 months ago. How do you schedule an appointment for 8:00 but not plan to be in the office at 8:00? My dad was an ophthalmologist and had his own practice and I often helped and this would have never happened there. Yes, it makes sense that if you have a 7:30 appointment and they are to be dilated, the ophthalmic nurse will start the appointment and get drops in to start the dilation process, so since that takes 20-30 minutes, it could be that the doctor doesn't plan to come in until 8:00. My dad never did this - he was in at 7:30 and tended to other things that needed his attention, but I could see this being a common scheduling practice that makes sense. I'm rambling because I'm frustrated, sorry. But that's not the case here at all. I don't care what you do for a living - it is rude and inconsiderate to keep people waiting 25 minutes past their appointment time only to be told the person you're there to see isn't even in the office yet. We don't have vision insurance, so I self-pay. I walked out. Private practices and medical services are no different than any other business and if people continue accepting this treatment as appropriate, Thomas Eye Group will continue to treat paying patients this way. They did not earn my money and I am happy to search for another pediatric ophthalmologist. Do yourself a favor and don't even give them a try - there are a lot of other options out there. read more

Customer service is awful. Until the doctors and/ or owners modify their prioritization of $ before their patients, I don't recommend this place. Today it was the fact that my daughter didn't have a referral to go to her appointment. This was communicated to me after I arrived for her appointment and after she has been going for about two years. They still billed me for the visit even though the doctor was not seen. There have been multiple occurrences and its getting to be too cumbersome, time consuming and the realization that $ to them comes first. I wouldn't be so discouraged if it wasn't for the fact that my 6 year old had surgery here. I'm tired. read more

I made my appointment at 7:45 am and after I checked in, I was seen right away just have my eyes checked by one the assistant. After getting my eyes dilated and waiting for it to settle, Dr. Cobb saw me right away. Had my eyes checked and everything went smoothly. I was planning on getting contacts so I guess this is where I'm not sure why they made me wait another 30 minutes in the waiting room. Another doctor came and asked about my contacts prescription and came back fast with a new trial pair, then I was on my way. Maybe she was probably helping another patient, but all in all, I was finished in an hour and half. I saw other complaints about waiting a long time, I would schedule as early as possible to avoid waiting long hours just to see the doctor. read more

Sigh. I really wanted to love this place. Like it, yes. But love it? No. While I could sense the effort to keep all customer service ducks in a row for streamlined care in a VERY busy practice, there were just too many missed opportunities. As a fellow doctor who seeks the best of the best in medical care, I am choosy. Many times I prefer to pay out of network or cash prices for my care because I cannot tolerate the "mill" in medical practice. I work in a very niche specialty setting. We provide extremely personalized service, so I expect the same for myself, even if it's not in a "niche" setting. I was referred elsewhere & couldn't be seen there for over a month. So I did some homework. I am already in the Northside system as a patient, and my referring physician preferred I stay in the system for ease of communication. I read good reviews on Dr. Kaufman and was impressed by his bio and video intro. Kudos to marketing strategy, by the way. I really like that in a practice! All in all-he delivered on my expectations. His expertise and care were not the issue for me. If this review were only about him, it would be worth a solid 5 stars. First of all, the receptionist I spoke with on the phone spelled my name and email address incorrectly even though I reviewed it with her twice on the phone. This meant I did not receive any email reminders and I had no idea what to expect for my appointment. Fortunately I caught the error. I am aware that name misspellings lead to rejected insurance claims, so I can imagine this is an error they would want to fix, too! This was not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Next-a long wait to be seen--about 30 minutes. The nurse/medical assistant who did my intake session (not sure what her title was as she did not tell me) was thorough and personable. She quickly did a few initial tests & dilated my eyes. I've never been dilated so I was taken by surprise that there was no explanation on what to expect. Yes, I know, I'm at the opthalmologist--maybe I should expect a dilation. I was sent back to the waiting area to let the dilation set. Wow! I couldn't read anything! It was inconvenient that I couldn't read AND the waiting room had bright lights, yet I had to sit there and wait another 30 minutes without being able to read anything or see well. Just a thought--if you know your patients are going to be sensitive to light, maybe have them wait in a room with dimmer lights after you dilate them? Then I had another test done. The tech was very nice and explained everything well. I could tell she was experienced and took pride in her work. I could tell she loves her job. She took care to make sure I was comfortable and understood what was going on. I really appreciated this after being thoroughly surprised with the dilation. Then it was back to the bright lights for 30 more minutes... Finally, I was called back into an exam room to wait on the physician for another 20 minutes. By this time I figured out by trial and error that I could read if I took OFF my glasses. I had to call and let my family members know that I wasn't going to be home when planned since my appointment was now nearing 2 hours, and I needed to be able to see the words on my phone! Dr. Kaufman was very thorough, personable, and skilled. Without a doubt, my best indicator of a good physician is one who listens, then sits for a second and thinks to the point you can literally hear the wheels turning in their brains. He was respectful and communicative with his scribe and with me. He was efficient but did not appear rushed. He ordered another test (oh good! more waiting under the bright lights!). Only about 15 minutes passed this time. A new tech took me for the test and didn't communicate well with me. The test required an enormous amount of concentration, yet he continued to talk to me during the test. He did not apply the correct lens to the equipment, so it was blurry for me. Tech #1 (the previous one) came in and took over. This was really stressful because I could tell that something had gone awry based on how they were talking. She explained the other tech was not as skilled at delivering this test and had made a mistake. I had to start over. I appreciated the honesty, but could have done without repeating the test. 15 minutes later, Dr. Kaufman returned and interpreted the tests. He humbly referred me to another provider as my condition was outside of his skill set. As much as I could have done without the 3 hour visit, this is aIso a sign of a great physician and I was grateful. Finally! It was the end of the day and the schedulers were not communicating well, so I was unable to schedule for a follow up, pay for my visit, and schedule with the physician to whom Dr. Kaufman referred me. Great care, great attempts at service, but missed opportunities. This happens in a busy practice and is forgivable, but I expect more for myself. I was shocked to read the poor reviews that mostly complained about the time being excessive at the appointment. Suggest those involved procure concierge medicine wherein you pay the physician direct with no insurance involved. When I have an appointment, I spend less than 5 minutes in the waiting. My physician has a total of 240 active patients and I have his direct cell number. Next, I did not find Dr.Blasberg to be a "crackpot" and he has been practicing for a long time and was very informative concerning the findings from the eye exam and the suggested options for correction. Emory is an excellent teaching facility and he graduated from same. read more

Personally, I will not be back. As a new patient I felt like my appointment was inefficient and rushed. At the beginning of the appt the tech asked if I wanted to get dilated (I have never done this at other offices). She did not explain what dilating my eyes would entail and what the side effects are. If I would've known I would have opted out of it being that I had to drive back home and do work on my laptop right after which I was unable to. During the appt with the doctor she did not tell me anything about my eye health. I went through the standard tests and ended up getting fitted for the same contacts that I arrived in. The first thing the doctor mentioned when she arrived in my room was Lasix. It seemed like she was really trying to sell me on Lasix. Overall, I feel like this practice is still years behind on technology, inefficient and not worth the time. As a new patient they lost me and I will not be returning. read more

Worst customer service of any medical provider I have ever used. This is our 5th visit, and every one has been worse than the last. We had a 7:40am appointment, and as I sit here at 9:00, we have yet to see the doctor. They are consistently late. I highly do not recommend them. After wasting about two hours at my first appointment, I only saw the doctor for less than five minutes and he didn't seem to be very interested in my situation. I had Lasik several years ago, so I was hoping to find an expert who could help me with my one eye that has never quite been right since the surgery. When taking the vision exam, the lens I looked through seemed to be cloudy/dirty, which made it very difficult to tell which letters were blurry (anyone who has had the bladed Lasik will understand how light and blurriness are constantly causing problems). After receiving the eye drops and waiting around at the contact lens area for another 45 minutes, I finally spoke to a woman for about 30 seconds, just to schedule another appointment to come back for contacts. For this second appointment, I waited around for about 30 minutes after my appointment time. The whole time I was waiting, the people who work in that area were telling knock knock jokes and no clients were being helped (there were three other people waiting with me). After I was finally called, all I got was a trial pack of contacts to try out. That was fine, but this appointment cost me another $130, just to pickup a week's worth of trial contacts. I don't understand why they couldn't just give me the trial pack at my first appointment, unless it was to charge me that extra $130. Sadly, after trying the contacts, they are not even the right prescription for my eyes. I'm worried that if I go back and try to get it adjusted, they will charge me again.. and I just don't have that much extra money to throw away like this. I will never go back to Thomas Eye Group... I wish I had saved my hundreds of dollars and simply gone to a local optometrist. I am very disappointed, and kind of depressed that my eye is still blurry after trying so hard with all of this. read more

I have had "pink eye" symptoms since September of 2018. I have been to 8 ophthalmologists through South Carolina and Georgia. Dr. Sackel could not help me because there was nothing wrong with my cornea but he was very nice and tried to help. This review is about Dr. Neufeld. I was referred by Dr. Sackel to Dr. Neufeld and the first thing he tried was surgery (which I was all for because anything to fix waking up with pink eye everyday for a year). The surgery fixed the symptoms for about a month. I went back and he gave me 2 rounds of antibiotics which also helped. The symptoms are about 70% better but not 100% so I went back again. He said to just keep cleaning my eyes 4 times a day. That's not a life I want to live at 26. No referrals to anyone else, nothing more to try! He just brushed off the fact that 70% better is completely fine. At 26 years old and over a year to waking up with pink eye everyday, after seeing 9 doctors, I need a solution to live a normal life, not be 70% better and think that it's cured! read more
